Hello everyone!
Today I’m gonna walk you through on how to look for presets, download them, convert them, and use them in game. I know there are some guides out there but they aren’t the best and don’t go to in depth, so I hope I can make everything crystal clear!
First things first,
To look for these presets you want to use INVEN, its the forums for KR and also a place to share screenshots, presets, and whatever else. When you first load up the website it should look like this, I highly recommend getting a google translate add-on to navigate the website a little bit easier.

You want to head over to the search bar on the top left

You want to copy and paste this → (“상시공유”) which means “always shared”. After that you want to copy and paste what class you want to look for, which are listed down below.
Warrior – 슈샤
Mage – 실린
Martial Artist – 애니츠
Gunner Male – 헌터
Gunner Female – 건슬링어
Assassin – 데런
You want to copy and paste the always shared with the class you want, so for explain I’ll do,
상시공유 애니츠 – Which is “always shared martial artist”

Once you search it you should be shown with a bunch of post of people listing their shared presets for you.

Just go down the list clicking on posts till you find the one you’d like to use. Once you find one you like you want to look for the download to the file. Most of the time it will be at the top. Something to note at the time of this guide (4/4/22) we don’t have the new hairstyles yet, so if you choose one with those hairstyles it won’t bring over the hair but it will bring over the face.

Sometimes it may want you to go to another forum for the download or another forum like website. You should find the downloads there.
Once you download the files it may or may not download in a zip file, if it does just extract it to your desktop. If it does require you to unzip it then just drag it to your desktop. It should have the name,

Make sure it doesn’t say Customizing_Fighter_slot4(1).cus
Now you need to change the files region, which requires you to go inside the files and edit. But I’m lazy and there’s room for error SO we will use this handy dandy website, Preset Region Convertor which auto converts the file for us.
Once you open the website it should have a place for you to put the file in, do that and select NA/EU at the bottom and hit convert. It should start a download for your new file! Its super easy. ^^

Almost done, now you want to get to your game files of Lost Ark.
Go to SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Lost Ark\EFGame\Customizing

Ignore the presets I already have here
Once your in the Customize file find the preset we downloaded and converted and drag the file into it.
NOW THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!
You want to make sure the files says, Customizing_(the class you picked)_slot0.cuz

I have an open spot in slot 1 so I picked slot2
Another thing to note, 0 means it will be in preset slot 1, 1 means it will be in preset 2, 2 means it will be in preset 3, so on and so forth.
Once everything is set you can go into customize on Lost Ark and select your preset.

These are going to be quite specific to those presets and you can’t change how they look later on. If you create that and then you don’t like it, then you have to start everything from scratch. Lost Ark Character Slots
By default Lost Ark provides you with 6 character slots per account where your main character is the first one you create together with 5 alternates to try out more classes. Make sure you’re using a browser that could translate the page for you though since it’ll be in Korean. This is where we’re gonna be getting all of the best Lost Ark character customizations. Tons of Korean players share their presets here and some of them are honestly really good. The problem is it could be a bit tricky to access these presets. They have different methods of sharing like visiting blogs or liking their posts. Google translate usually does a pretty good job of showing you how they’re trying to share their presets.
Editing the file is really important because your preset will not work if you skip this step. You need to download a program https://notepad-plus-plus.org/downloads/ and open the file with it. Once you open it up, you need to find the letters KOR and change them to the USA. After you do that, you will go ahead and save it. If you’re on the EU server, it should still work since we are using the same client. After you edited your new preset, you have to drop it into your Lost Ark customizing folder. Copy the \EFGame\Customizing folder from the beta client and paste it into \steam\steamapps\common\Lost Ark\EFGame\Customizing. It should be a .cus file.

If you would like to use your Kor/Jap/Rus files, all you have to do is edit the .cus file via notepad and type USA instead of KOR/JAP/RUS. (Thanks to Monke on Lost Ark Forum and u/pikmim3 on Reddit for sharing.)
Important: Now, it seems that this is working for a few players and for some, the game is crashing. User Alcad says – Fair warning. I’ve heard from several people that they completely changed the presets for certain faces and hairs for NA from RU and such, so it’s entirely possible that your RU preset will be broken or just entirely not working if you import it into NA client.

If things don’t work out as expected, revert the changes and use the original files that you have backed up which have no edits. If you feel like you are okay with taking the risk, go ahead and follow the aforementioned steps. Otherwise, you can simply remake the character customization manually.

Players can customize everything from their armor plates to their mounts. However, asking for money in exchange for character presets isn’t just shoddy; it’s against the terms and conditions of the game.
Lost Ark community moderator asks players to report people who sell character presets
On April 8, 2022, a Lost Ark forum user called Aegi brought up an alarming fact. They said that they noticed specific individuals selling character presets for about $10 each, and this was being done either on Discord or through the sellers’ websites.
The user asked if it was legal, given that it’s already been declared illegal in Korea. The preset sellers were even copying designs from the Korean versions and making money out of them.

In response, community manager Roxx replied that any act like this is entirely illegal. They also suggested that what players can do is report the sellers if they know their account.
Roxx accepted that reporting accounts can be complicated since it’s hard to track who is engaging in the activity. Additionally, they also stated that paying $10 for the character presets isn’t worth it as there are plenty of options available freely over the internet.
Why is the selling of character presets for money illegal in Lost Ark?
The character presets are designs that players create on their characters. The design is a creation of the player’s mind, and they use a variety of available items in the game. However, all the items and character designs are part of Lost Ark’s assets, thus making them proprietary assets of Amazon Games and Smilegate RPG.

When creating and customizing your character after the class selection you can either save or load the adjustments you made to their looks. You have 5 slots available to each class seperatly. Saved presets will be stored locally in your game folder as .cus files.
Where do I find my presets?
EU / NA Version
1. Open Steam and go to your Library
2. Right-click on Lost Ark → Manage → Browse local files
3. Inside the Lost Ark folder navigate to EFGame → Customizing
Russian Version
1. Open MY.GAMES Game Center
2. Press the down arrow next to the Play button →Open game client folder
3. Inside the LOSTARK folder navigate to EFGame → Customizing
How do I add presets?
1. Download the .zip archive for your desired character look
2. Extract the archive and open the EU_NA or RU folder depending on your region
3. Put the .cus file in the Customizing folder mentioned above
4. Change the slotX part to your available slots (slot0 – slot4)
5. Start the game or when you’re online already reselect your class for the file to load

And as for the majority of video games, they have encountered issues such as guild donations or contributions that aren’t working on the Vykas server and the game crashing when loading Guardian Raids or Chaos Dungeon.
And according to recent reports from Lost Ark players, character customization presets don’t work or aren’t deleted (1,2,3,4,5).
Apparently, many of the people with customization loading Failed error messages are getting the message whenever they try to load a preset. Restarting the game and reinstalling it aren’t either helping.

Despite the updated Monday of Thursday, it seems completely broken. No one of my past customizations works anymore. All customization presets created before today are no longer usable. After the update, all character creation presets created before today are no longer usable, you will get a warning popup if you try to use it saying it doesn’t work, and asks if you want to delete the preset. Do not click “ok” on the popup, as it will delete the preset file completely.

Not sure if this has been posted here before but I found a recent issue with the Saved Character Customizations. Prior to the Thursday backend update, all my saved Customizations worked perfectly (including saved customizations that I obtained from users in KR). However, after the update this past Thursday, it seems to be completely broke. None of my past customizations work anymore and they get corrupted & deleted once I try to load them in, I tried verifying the integrity of my games files but it still remains broken. Anyone else had an issue of this sort?
