LWM’s Deep Storage Mod features
LWM presents a way to organize your supplies, loot, clothes, and even your garbage, to allow you a tidy base where your colonists aren’t simply dumping stuff on the floor. Deep Storage units include medicine cabinets, meat hooks, clothing racks, weapon lockers, etc, and all can store diverse items – just like regular shelves, but they allow more than one thing!
FAQ / “I have a problem”:
* Meat Hooks require the Smithing research!
* These Hampers are made of fabric, they don’t hold fabric
* Does it work with Vanilla shelves?
* You can always add more stored things in Mod Settings
** (A little walkthrough for doing that: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2187075071)
Notes:
* Storing things properly takes time – the colonists must carefully organize everything so it’s easy to find what’s needed.(*)
* Animals cannot by default haul to Storage – their little brains and paws (claws, etc) cannot manage the clasps, locks, catches, etc required to store things properly.(*)
* All the units you can build are in the Storage menu – by default this includes other mods’ storage buildings.(*)
* (*) – these can be changed in the Mod Settings (again, link above)
Compatibility notes
* Storage compatible with many different mods: Dubs Bad Hygiene, RimCuisine, Survival Tools, Vegetable Garden. If you see something that SHOULD be stored but isn’t? You can let me know!
* You can also change what’s allowed in the Mod Settings!
* Plays well with mods that change stack size (OgreStack, Deep Stack, etc). Want 10 stacks of 1000 Advanced Components in one square? Go for it! (Just watch out for mortar attacks…)
* Plays well with mods that affect storage: Restricted Storage (LWM), Satisfied Storage, RimWorld Search Agency (not as well as Satisfied Storage), Stockpile for Disaster, heck – there’s a Deep Refrigerator if you play with RimFridge
* Plays well with mods that affect hauling: CommonSense, Pick Up and Haul.
* Haul To Stack? I have conflicting reports, let me know.
* Other storage mods? maybe:
** Project RimFactory: probably okay, should be fully compatible soon
** Extended Storage: maybe
** Other storage mod??? If you get weird behavior, turn off “Over Capacity” check in mod settings
* Industrial Rollers: not fully, but fix is coming!

LWM’s DeepStorage – a mod for RimWorld
Deep Storage Units, yet another storage solution (that will likely be [WIP] for some time).
LWM presents yet another way to deal with your storage needs: Deep Storage units!
Currently available are multiple buildings that can store more than one object at a time. Inspired by Skullywag’s Extended Storage, this mod takes a different approach – storage buildings that pawns can simply carry multiple items to. An approach that got a lot harder with 1.0, BTW, but I like the results so far.
This mod will be updating as I tweak items and fix bugs, but I wanted to make it available now that it’s mostly working.
Pallets, clothing racks, food storage trays, etc. You can also write your own

Installation
Put the LWM.DeepStorage folder (under _Mod) inside your game’s Mod/ folder. Update often?
Note on Building the Project Yourself
The build project is designed for use on Linux in my personal laptop. If you want to build the project yourself, you will need to – at a minumum:
Ensure the Requirements/References point to your correct locations for the RimWorld Assembly-CSharp and UnityEngine dlls. Ensure the nupkg requirement for HugsLib is working Change the Custom Commands for your system.
I am using monodevelop 7.7 and msbuild on the Debian-based SolydX flavour of Linux.
All of these details are located in the .csproj file, or you can use monodevelop’s UI to change these settings.
Deep Storage Units
Big Shelf – a shelf with enough space to store two items per cell
Medicine Cabinet – what it says on the box
Meal Tray Racks – efficient storage for meals. Or desserts.
Food Baskets – store raw food, some plant matter, or pile in drugs
Meat Hooks – I think you can figure out what these are for
Weapon Lockers – currently requires Machining? Efficiently store weapons!
Clothing Rack – currently stores both civilian and military clothing – subject to change
Pallet – for piling so many things onto!
Pallet with Wrapping – can store loose matter, too!
Skips – Are you American? Did you know “Dumpster” is a registered TM? Rock chunks, heavy resournces
Using Deep Storage – bonus tip: If you have selected an item in DeepStorage, if you right-click, you jump the storage unit!

It may be possible to end up with a small amount of free storage from time to time. (An extra partially filled stack)

Adds one-tile versions of the Food Basket, Hamper and Tray Rack from LWM’s Deep Storage.
Each storage stores the same thing that the two-tile version does and has exactly half the storage of the two-tile version. This means that the one-tile version stores the same number of stacks per cell but only covers one cell, therefore half. The one-tile variants also cost approximately half the resources. Where a max mass applies to the two-tile version the one-tile version can hold half the max mass.
Patches from LWM’s Deep Storage mod are carried over so anything that the base mod is compatible with, this one will be too.

Mod Request: LWM Deep Storage + Stockpile limits
From my testing seems to work ok, IF no Pick Up and Haul…. if PUAH is installed has issues with both stockpile #stacks,. and Stack size limit…Variety Matters: Stockpile is the only mod I can find that currently allows both #stacks and Stacksize limits…. so sor tof stuck on chosing which options you want.there are a few mods that just limit Stack Size (but with Deep Storage, that just means lots of little stacks) and Kanban Stockpile https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2287142613 Which has a Limit number of similiar stacks…. but does NOT have a limit stacksize option….Hopefully one or both of these could be updated to fix incompatabilities and/or add missing option
