Too faced papa don t peach = milani luminoso blush dupe
Flower Beauty Flower Pots Blush ($10) are one of my all-time favorite blush formulas and since I only had two shades in my collection, I decided to purchase the other two…I love them that much! I’m really excited to post an updated review and swatches since my initial review was only for the first two shades I bought. There is also a fifth shade that’s exclusive to the Flower Beauty website, but I didn’t purchase that one because it’s a darker color that looks like it’s suited more toward medium to deep skin tones. Even though the Flower Pots look like the Milani Flower Blushes, the formula is very different and I actually like these even more. I find them to be even silkier in texture and effortless to blend. They go on so smoothly and are very finely milled, so the color looks seamless on your cheeks. Three of the shades have a satin-matte finish with no shimmer while one shade (Warm Hibiscus) has a subtle shimmer. Dupes: I wanted to go through my blush collection and see if the Flower Pots could be dupes for any higher-end blushes. I was actually able to find very close matches for all four shades! Even though they’re not exact dupes, they’re so close, they look the same when blended out on the cheeks. First, the peachy-pink shimmer shade Warm Hibiscus is very similar to The Balm’s Hot Mama! and Tarte’s Glisten. It also reminds me a lot of Nars Orgasm but I couldn’t find mine to do a comparison swatch. The cool-toned pink matte shade, Wild Rose reminds me a lot of Tarte’s Dollface. Peach Primrose is very similar to Benefit Coralista (but even more pigmented). Sweet Pea is pretty much a dead-on match for The Balm’s Down Boy. Overall, I can’t recommend these enough and don’t have one bad thing to say about them…they’re amazing and can’t be beat for the price! Part two of ‘Sweet Peach Week’ is upon us, and today it’s all about blush (Part 1, reviewing the glosses is HERE).
Meet the Too Faced peach-infused blush, ‘Papa Don’t Peach’.
‘Our iconic Papa Don’t Peach blush has been brought back from the archives and reborn with the skin-loving essence of peach and a fresh juicy scent. It’s the perfect bronzy peach that adds a pop of warmth and a sexy glow to any complexion.”
That’s right, ‘Papa Don’t Peach’, the blush released in the summer of 2009, is back and improved.
The blush comes housed in an peach ombre tin (similar style to the Sweet Peach Eyeshadow Palette), with a smiling peachy fellow, and complete with a mirror on the inside.
The blush itself has an embossed peach shape, with the Too Faced initials, and the name of the blush. And yes, it does indeed smell like peaches!
Just above my Too Faced bronzer in ‘Milk Chocolate Soleil’, I applied ‘Papa Don’t Peach’ onto the apples of my cheeks using the “XO” method that I saw on the Too Faced youtube page (apply onto your cheek in an X shape, and blend in an O shape).
This blush was just stunning! It’s what my cheeks have been longing for – I see why it had such a cult following. It gives a very “lit from within” type of glow.
The closest drugstore options I could find are the elf Studio Blush in ‘Peachy Keen’, and Milani’s Baked Blush in ‘Luminoso’, however, ‘Papa Don’t Peach’ is much more pink. The elf blush is more of an orange shade and it’s also chalkier, and the Milani blush is more of a light coral.
‘Papa Don’t Peach’ retails for $30 USD/$38 CAD – don’t freak out! Yes, I know that seems like a hefty price to pay for a blush, but for the price that you’re paying, you get a lot of product. In the photo below you can see ‘Papa Don’t Peach’, sitting next to a Too Faced Love Flush Blush. Although they appear to be similar in size, ‘Papa Don’t Peach’ is about double the height of the Love Flush Blushes.
I’ll let the math do the talking. ‘Papa Don’t Peach’ contains 9 g of product. Let’s break that down to determine the cost per 1 gram, and compare it to other popular blushes.
Too Faced ‘Papa Don’t Peach’ Blush
9 g of product, priced at $30 USD/$38 CAD = $3.33 USD/$4.22 CAD per gram
Too Faced Sweetheart Blush
5.5 g of product, priced at $30 USD/$38 CAD = $5.45 USD/$6.91 CAD per gram
NARS Blush
4.8 g of product, priced at $30 USD/$38 CAD = $6.25 USD/$7.92 CAD per gram
Benefit Box o’ Powder
9 g of product, priced at $29 USD/$36 CAD = $3.22 USD/$4.00 CAD per gram
As you can see, Too Faced Sweetheart Blushes and NARS Blushes cost the same as ‘Papa Don’t Peach’, but contain a significantly smaller amount of product. Compared to Benefit’s Box o’ Powder, ‘Papa Don’t Peach’ is the same size, but slightly pricier. So even though $30/$38 seems like a lot for a single blush, compared to other popular blush brands, ‘Papa Don’t Peach’ is still a front runner.
You can find the Too Faced ‘Papa Don’t Peach’ Blush on the Too Faced website on December 14th at midnight EST, online on Sephora and Ulta’s websites on December 15th, and in-store at Sephora starting January 5th.

It’s basically peach mania and I absolutely love it. The original eyeshadow palette, which is returning to satisfy the needs of all the beauty junkies that missed out the first time, is one of my favourite palettes I own. The Papa Don’t Peach Blush did exist before although I never owned it. For the brand new Too Faced Sweet Peach Collection, it has been repackaged and revamped and it is looking beautiful. It’s a gorgeous shade – a lovely bronzey peach – and it gives the skin a really glowy kiss of peachy health.

I do love a peachy-nude so these really are perfect. They also feel, smell and taste lovely! Plus they really are super super moisturising.
I am so impressed with the new products and am very happy to include them in my stash. I think the star of the Too Faced Sweet Peach Collection is still the eyeshadow palette, so if you haven’t got it already, then get your diaries out! But it is closely followed by the glow palette, the blush and the lip oils. As I said, it’s a fabulous collection.
