The route was unusually empty during this video, as you may have seen there were a few people contesting me for the nodes – just bad timing.
When I was actually farming, it was the evening, and I was able to get my lead after around 3 full cycles. It took me around ~10 minutes and ~50 harvested nodes.

Who make the drop percentage in this lead. EVERY SINGLE SPOT in Shadowfen are taken and it takes AN ETERNITY to drop the lead (5 hours straight, still nothing). I’m maybe unlucky, but a lot of people doesn’t drop the lead for hours. Does anyone have such a hard time to drop this lead or ??

Mythic Leads Guide for Harpooner’s Wading Kilt
Harpooner’s Wading Kilt is one of several new Mythic one-piece item sets that came out with Update 30 otherwise known as the Blackwood Chapter.
At the time of release, it is considered a best-in-slot (BIS) item to have for a PvE Damage Dealer regardless of whether they’re Stamina DPS or Magicka DPS in similar fashion to the release of previous Mythic items such as the Ring of the Pale Order or Thrassian Stranglers.
Like all other Mythic items, Harpooner’s Wading Kilt can be found by finding a total of five different and unique Leads. Upon finding Leads, one must Scry for the Leads’ locations and then Excavate them through the Antiquities Skill Lines under the World Skills ingame.
This Lead can be found in either Normal or Veteran Ruins of Mazzatun, a DLC dungeon located in Shadowfen part of the Shadows of the Hist DLC.
To save time, simply do Normal Ruins of Mazzatun. This Lead only drops on the last boss and nowhere else in the instance. Veteran does not have a higher chance of dropping the Lead. The Lead is not shareable between group members.
This Lead can be found in the Blackwood Chapter zone by killing any of the World Bosses. We recommend going back and forth between the two World Bosses located in the southeastern part of Blackwood for the sake of time and efficiency. You can solo or group up for these World Bosses.

This Lead drops from enemy mobs, most predominantly from Daggerfall Covenant soldier NPCs. There are two primary spots in Bal Foyen where they spawn quite frequently regardless of how many people seem to farm the spawns.

We recommend the spot by the coastline as that spot tends to be less populated. Depending on how heavily populated these farming areas are, it’s always safe to group up with others in Zone Chat as their kills can also count towards granting your loot as long as you’re in proximity.

This Lead only drops from fishing Foul Water nodes in Murkmire. We recommend the northern area as it’s not too populated and has frequent spawns unlike Artaeum’s fishing holes for one of its five Thrassian Strangler Leads.

If the zone becomes heavily populated with everyone camping each node spawn, it’s more efficient to camp a node spawn. Otherwise roam around.

Shadowfen node farming wars
Upon entering Shadowfen, I have observed a large force of seemingly singular individuals camping specific nodes in Shadowfen. As a result, there are not enough nodes for the amount of people trying to farm for the lead.
As an experiment I approached by mount towards a node being camped, the node was quite visible for over 5 seconds, the individual seemingly AFK at the node didn’t pick it up as I approached. I ride over, pick it up and move on. However I proceed to get the following messages instantly: “Seriously?”, “yikes” “******* hell”.
I am not one to question the logic of drop sources normally however for an item that was very clearly going to become meta in some capacity, exactly why did anyone think this was a good idea to have its leads drop from a source that was already limited vs demand in the first place?
I have played since beta and launch respectively and I have never seen so many people in Shadowfen before not only that but I have never seen so many people rage incoherently before either and I PvP … a place where rage is all too common. There are people so upset in fact that they are actively putting people who have posted the Harpooners wadding kilt in chat on their ignore lists. Its gotten that bad.
This whole…..”problem” has resulted in virtually no nodes showing up for those actually looking because everyone is camping every single node location like a hawk (when they’re not asleep)
So one of three things need to happen for this specific lead;
A ) Node respawn times in Shadowfen need to be massively bumped (its been noted that this would attract even more bots so not the best choice)
B ) Change the source entirely to something far more reasonable.
C ) Alter the drop rate to be 1 in 10 instead of 1 in 100.
