You even have the option to bake it for a dishwasher safe option. I didn’t use this option for this project, but I will definitely use it in the future!
Instructions for painting on ceramics
To begin with, you should prepare your “canvas” a little. I wiped the front of my planter with an alcohol wipe to remove any dirt or oil residue. I’m by no means a nature artist, so I lightly drew a simple panda face on the front with a pencil.
Don’t worry if you make mistakes while sketching, a damp towel will quickly erase any pencil marks.
Now for the fun part! Using an appropriately sized brush, begin to apply Glass Paint to the smooth surface.
You will immediately notice the difference in the consistency of the color! It is very thick and covers much better than average acrylic paint even after the first coat.
I ended up just painting two coats of black paint for full coverage and just one coat of coral!
