Supercell has lost interest in supporting their once popular game Clash of Clans. Despite your Town Hall level or the amount of money you’ve spent on the game, Supercell doesn’t seem to care about you unless you’re a popular YouTuber who only posts videos about Clash of Clans, or you are in a clan that Supercell actively promotes all their social media channels like OneHive.
With this in mind, do not let Supercell know that you have lost your Clash of Clans account as there is a high possibility that they will ban you permanently for “account phishing”. Also, don’t contact Supercell Support about a friend who lost their account.
What is Account Phishing Ban Scam?
The “Clash of Clans Account Phishing Ban Scam” is a term given to a scam where a third party requests another party to contact Supercell on their behalf to help the third party gain access to a lost account. The third party provides the victim with information about a real account but omits details. The victim then contacts Supercell for help in recovering the allegedly lost account and in return, the victim’s Clash of Clans account is banned for account phishing.
The scam name can also refer to an act by Supercell that bans people trying to recover their own lost accounts without any legitimate purpose. This in turn can lead to a loss of money for the victim who paid money to play or upgrade their Clash of Clans account.
The word “scam” is associated with it because it leads to catastrophic monetary loss for the victim who spent money on the game, loss of Google or Game Center account (Apple ID) and bank account closure due to security concerns can be filed if dispute.

Supercell doesn’t really know some of the answers to some of the questions they’re asking you. For example, they don’t know what Gmail account you might have signed in with, they don’t know what devices you used to sign in with a Gmail account or Apple ID in the past, so they can’t give you that information give or confirm whether your answers are correct or not. Instead, it appears that your Gmail account information is encrypted and they can only see encrypted data.
All the money you spent upgrading your Clash of Clans account is gone, and you better not dispute the fees with your bank unless you want Google or Apple to claim the money back and terminate your account . Your bank might even be suspicious of all the disputes and close your bank account for security reasons.
