Decide where to place your Wireless Joey Access Point in your home. See Installation Configurations for possibilities and considerations.

Make sure your host receiver is fully set up (receiving video, connecting to the home network) first.

On the back, select Access Point (or Client if you are doing client-side configuration).

Make sure the Wireless Joey Access Point has an Ethernet connection using the included Ethernet cable.

Turn on the Wireless Joey Access Point.

Connect the Wireless Joey to a TV and turn on the Wireless Joey.

7 Follow the on-screen instructions to put the Wireless Joey in WPS mode.

QUICK TROUBLESHOOTING TIPS

IF YOU HAVE PROBLEMS CONNECTING W TO YOUR RECEIVER

If the Wireless Joey Access Point does not find the Wireless Joey while both are in WPS mode, put both devices in WPS mode and try again. If the two devices still don’t connect, they may be out of range. Reposition the devices and put them both in WPS mode to see if they connect. Look for a stronger connection indicator.

If video is not streaming to the Wireless Joey, check the Wireless Joey’s connection to the hopper. Check all cable connections from the reflector to the Wireless Joey and make sure they are secure and finger tight.

If all connections are good and the connection strength indicator is good and you’re still having streaming issues, it could be that other 5G devices like a microwave or cell phone or even a neighbor’s wireless network are causing interference.
