I had a total crush on these perfect and decorative roses that don’t get old! Which led me to do a little research on the internet. The brand that drew the most attention was Grace Flower Box. They have a variety of beautiful flower boxes of all colors and sizes. The company is based in Germany, but also delivers to other countries. Listen!
So I decided to get my own box of beautiful roses. They no longer have their smell, but all their beauty. How does the brand make this possible? The roses are first dried, then covered with a special product, then rehydrated and their beauty frozen for a period of 3 years. What a lovely idea, someone had to think about it!
I had a small inconvenience with my box at the time of delivery. But it ended up being a very nice surprise at the way the brand handled the problem. Sometimes postmen are not particularly “fine”. And my box arrived in a large cardboard box quite damaged: one rose had been pushed to the bottom of the box (so I had to manually restore it) and the outer crown roses in the bouquet were also a little damaged. This was once so because artificial flowers were generally made from plastic, cotton, or silk materials. They did not show vivid colors and did not feel as soft and wet as a real flower. Many manufacturing processes were invented as early as the 1950s to better structure artificial flowers using a combination of metal and plastic. In the early 1980’s, some companies began using a plastic stock molded around a reinforcing wire. Petals were made of silk and attached to the end of the stem. The same technique has been used for several decades with minor improvements. These artificial flowers are easily deformed or damaged during transportation, storage and use. These have many problems due to the unnatural look and feel. They tend to lose their color and luster easily and quickly. That’s why when people talk about artificial flowers, they think of super cheap silk flowers. Over time, the public has come to agree with this opinion.
In 2006, a new technology for making artificial flowers changed the industry. This invention used polyether polyurethane (PU) foam instead of plastic or silk to offer a more natural look and feel that can sometimes be mistaken for a real flower. During the process, a blend of polyether and polyurethane forms a lightweight foam that is poured into the molds to form the components of the artificial flowers. Paste of different colors is injected directly into the foam, then additionally sprayed onto the surfaces and heated to permanently cure the desired colors. This is not done manually as the process is computer controlled. This new line of products effectively solves the above problems and meets the needs of the growing artificial flower market. Over a decade, this new method was adopted by various manufacturers to create a wide range of floral designs. Nowadays “PU” flowers are often referred to as “real touch” flowers.
