Lush and earthy: Think clay pots and forest floors – tan pairs perfectly with deep greens, charcoal and rich blues for a natural color palette.
Hazy Desert: Dusty pink, muted yellow, sage green, and natural tan can work together to evoke the color-neutral desert aesthetic.
A bold pop: Emphasize a bold statement color like light turquoise or deep magenta by pairing it with some varied, muted shades of brown and other complementary colors. This will enhance the look without overwhelming the palette.
Undertones: Because brown, the base color of a tan, is a composite of many colors, you can build any type of palette out of your tan. Boost the reds for a dustier pink tone, the blacks for a grayer look, or the yellows for a color close to sage.

Gold, also called gold, is a color.
The web color gold is sometimes referred to as golden to distinguish it from the metallic gold color. The use of gold as a color term in traditional parlance is more commonly applied to the color “metallic gold” (see below).

Web color gold vs. metallic gold [ edit ]
The American Heritage Dictionary defines the color metallic gold as “a light olive brown to dark yellow or a moderate strong to bright yellow”.
Of course, the visual sensation normally associated with the metal gold is its metallic sheen. This cannot be reproduced by a simple solid color because the glossy effect is due to the reflective brightness of the material, which changes with the angle of the surface to the light source.
For this reason, a metallic color would be used in art, which gleams approximating real gold; a solid color like that of the cell displayed in the adjacent box does not “read” as gold aesthetically. Especially in sacred art in Christian churches, real gold (as gold leaf) was used to reproduce gold in paintings, e.g. for the halo. Gold can also be woven into silk leaves to create a traditional East Asian look.
Newer art movements, e.g. Art Nouveau, also with shiny metallic gold; However, the metallic finish of such paints has been added using fine aluminum powder and pigment instead of real gold.

What is the most realistic gold paint?
The Best Gold Paint When Compared to Real Hardware
Rust oleum Metallic Finish Gold was the most convincing when compared to stock-bought brushed gold color hardware with Krylon Short Cuts Gold Leaf just barely behind.
11 Luxurious Golden Paint Colors Designers Love
Since running out of my favorite gold spray paint I’ve been on the hunt for the most convincing one to use on all metal objects – doorknobs, bathroom fixtures, furniture handles, light fixtures and figurines.
UPDATE: Also see how I ranked Rub n Buff colors here.
Why gold colors are not all the same
Last year, when gathering supplies for a project, I’d take each gold spray paint with a pretty cap down the hardware aisle to use. And so many times have I painted with it only to find the gold looked totally fake and plasticky and just plain BAD!
So I took one for the team to test 8 different brass and gold finish spray paints and compare them to some real brass hardware to determine the ultimate “winner”.
I was so proud of this little experimentation idea until I later discovered that The Coastal Oak, Centsational Style and Chris Loves Julia had also tried it in the past, but I digress. It was still extremely helpful to see her in person to self-determine.
1st place | 2nd place | 3rd place
How the Gold Spray paints were ranked
Performance – Was the color coverage sufficient? Were there any plotting problems? Has the nozzle easily clogged? Comparison to standard fittings – Did it look convincing when you placed the gold paint against standard gold and brass fittings? Overall Impression – Just personal preference.
The best spray paint type for performance
1st – Rustoleum spray paints with the non-trigger grips on the cans had the best coverage with little to no staining issues.
– Rustoleum spray paints with the non-trigger grips on the cans had the best coverage with little to no staining issues. 2.- The Krylon brand is somewhere in between the non-trigger and trigger-type Rustoleum cans, as compared to Rustoleum it almost always required an extra coat, but the application was fairly consistent.
– The Krylon brand is somewhere in between the non-trigger and trigger-type Rustoleum cans because it almost always required an extra coat compared to Rustoleum, but the application was fairly consistent. 3rd – Rustoleum trigger cans spattered the worst and were more prone to clogging.
1. Best Gold Color | Second best gold color
The best gold color compared to real hardware
I compared the spray painted knobs to two different styles of hardware: brushed gold and unpainted brass.
Rust Oleum Metallic Finish Gold was the most compelling compared to stock-bought brushed gold hardware, closely followed by Krylon Short Cuts Gold Leaf.
None of the 8 spray colors came close to comparing to unpainted brass so it’s still being investigated if there is even a spray color to match. But no comparison to real unlacquered brass. Either you go all out or not at all.
The best gold spray paint overall
The clear winner for me was Rustoleum Metallic Finish Gold. This gold spray paint is absolutely gorgeous with no odd undertones, a convincing shine compared to the high quality original, the opacity was the best and the application of the final finish was completely even with no spatter.

So now we know. Maybe it will come in handy for your next DIY project. I’m probably going to need a whole case now because I use this stuff for everything.
What else should I test? That was fun!
frequently asked Questions
How can I make something look convincingly like real gold? First spray on 1-2 coats of Rustoleum Metallic Finish Gold and allow to dry. Then apply Antique Gold Rub n Buff to add dimension to make it look the closest to real gold. How do you spray paint correctly? Spray an object in a well-ventilated area away from anything that might catch overspray. Apply only a thin, even coat of spray primer. Once the primer has set for the recommended drying time, apply 2-3 thin, even coats of spray paint in a continuous, sweeping motion 12-18″ from the object. It is best to apply several thin coats rather than less thick coats to avoid drips or smudges.

What is the color for 2022?
An almost minty teal green, “Breezeway” is a cool, bright and cheerful tone. Pantone may have declared otherwise, but the real 2022 Color of the Year is green!
11 Luxurious Golden Paint Colors Designers Love
vert in French; verde in Spanish and Italian; green in German; virere, ver and viridis are Latin and mean to grow, spring up and be green. Not surprisingly, many color trendsetters have chosen this hue to signify the possibilities of the coming year – those of recovery, progress and evolution.
Green has been associated with sustainability and environmental movements more recently, but months in and out of lockdowns have made us appreciate our intrinsic inclination for the color. We don’t even have to go into the phenomenon of “plantita/plantito”.
Experiencing greens in forest bathing and immersing in nature as therapeutic and restorative has made us realize its healing properties. No wonder we would like to bring its different shades and colors into our rooms.
This color is finally having its moment and coming to the fore with an assortment of shades – some leaning towards the warm hues with red or yellow overtones and others leaning towards the cooler teal tones.
Although not fully available locally, paint companies around the world have showcased their select palette of greens in various shades and tones.
The world of green is a vast expanse that leaves you free to experiment. Enjoy them in 2022!
Sherwin Williams’ “Evergreen Fog” is a gray-toned, desaturated version of a sage green that would have been considered more of an industrial color many years ago, but is now seen as a tone imbued with collected calm. It’s earthy, elegant and calming. Paired with lighter tans and neutrals or golden wood tones, this green is soft and refreshing.
“Blanched Thyme” is Valspar Paints’ green for 2022. “A cool, organic green that pairs beautifully with warmer wood tones for a natural and balanced look.” This shade looks and is a bit like an avocado green a little more casual, livelier and happier. It gives you a forest bathing feel as its vibrancy mimics the greenery found in the forest, albeit in lighter tones.
“Soothing and nourishing, this natural shade promotes calm balance within yourself and your home.”
An almost minty teal green, ‘Breezeway’ is a cool, bright and cheerful shade. It is possibly one of the most uplifting greens. Paired with creams and whites, the experience is airy and ethereal. It also reminds me of sea glass and glacial ice.
“A new year presents an opportunity to embrace a sense of renewal and pursue untapped passions,” said Erika Woelfel, vice president of color and creative services at Behr Paint Company. “Whether it’s lacing up our hiking boots or unpacking our garden tools, Breezeway inspires us to fully embrace the hobbies or adventures near and far that inspire us. We look forward to a color that welcomes a hopeful sense of renewal, restoration and healing.”
Another sage shade, Dulux’s “Olive Sprig”, is a warmer shade of green that tends towards some yellow overtones, reminiscent of the more pleasing mossy greens. It’s more formal and elegant, but not necessarily limited to the more mature design environments.
Combined with complementary shades such as pink or blush tones, the formality breaks up into a younger and more playful look. Due to its earthy gray cast, this shade of green goes best with white, neutral and deep wood tones.

1. BENJAMIN MOORE GRANT BEIGE HC 83
Grant Beige is a brown paint color that is neither too light nor too dark thanks to its moderate LRV of 56.65 (read more about LRV here). And regardless of what its name says, Grant Beige is pretty darn “brown” in that it doesn’t have that typical golden beige look. In a north-facing room, Grant Beige can even be slightly greige.
Notice in the photo above how natural light makes it appear brighter and brighter, while below it has a slightly deeper look against a more shadowed wall, as seen in this stairwell and hallway…
MORE ABOUT GRANT BEIGE
Grant Beige’s LRV is 56.65, which is on the LOWER, slightly darker side of the light range. It’s certainly not a heavy, dense color, but it’s not fresh and bright.

2. BENJAMIN MOORE BENNINGTON GRAY HC 82
Bennington Gray has more flesh on the bone than a typical beige or brown paint color, but it’s certainly not gray as the name might suggest. You’ll also notice that Bennington Gray looks a bit warmer than Grant Beige without being overly golden/yellow tinted.
MORE ABOUT BENNINGTON GREY
Although it has gray in its name, it is NOT remotely gray.
It’s a great way to achieve a warm look without being golden for those of you who have an aversion to yellow/orange.
With an LRV of 46, it has good visual weight, making your room cozier instead of brightening it up.
Bennington Gray CAN take on a subtle green undertone so be careful what you pair it with.
3. BENJAMIN MOORE MANCHESTER TAN HC 81
Manchester Tan is one of the lighter but not washed out beige/tan colors with the flexibility to satisfy both those who prefer a more neutral tan and those who love the warmer end of things.
The photo above shows Manchester Tan lightened by 25% in a room with different types of natural light.

It will generally look like a neutral light brown paint color.
With an LRV of 64, it’s in a great range for the average room/lighting situation.
It has a vague yellow undertone and can give a tongue-in-cheek nod to green, although it rarely does unless paired with a finish with opposite (pink) undertones

A beige lacquer color with an orange-yellow undertone, Lenox Tan is undoubtedly the warmest color on this page. If you’re not a fan of orange undertones then stay away from this one, however if you want a slightly warm neutral tone without a strong yellow then this might be your go-to shade!

Compare it to Grant Beige to see the warmth rising.
Lenox Tan’s LRV is 43, making it a slightly richer choice.
It picks up a green wink every now and then, but it’s INCREDIBLY passive.

The nature of beige has changed in recent years as it has become lighter and a little grayer, but a warm beige will always be at the top of my list of favorite colors. So here is a selection of shades of beige that always do me good and that no customer ever complains about when applied to their walls. After 20 years in interior design, I’ve compiled a personal list of colors that always work and these are five of my favorites. Happy painting!
This is absolutely the best transition color from a warm beige to a taupe or a more gray toned beige (that’s basically what taupe means). This color looks great with light maple or light wood if you want to update the colors around it. This shade gives the wood a cooler environment, making it look more sophisticated. Add black and charcoal to this scheme, and it brings a newer, fresher feel to plain light maple. It is also excellent for medium to dark woods. It doesn’t have a pinky tone, so it really blends exceptionally well with today’s decor.
This is an excellent warm beige with a very light yellow/orange undertone. It’s an excellent warm neutral with enough chroma to feel like you’ve put paint on the wall, but it’s not heavy enough to make a room feel dark. It looks great with dark hardwood floors and white trim. An all round great choice for family room, basement, foyer or even bedroom.
This is a color that many of my clients love. It has no orange or pink undertone. So if you are sensitive to seeing these colors in beige, stick with that color. It has a green-grey undertone so it’s very neutral overall. It is a medium to light color on the wall and with its toned or slightly muted nature, it blends very well with other colors when used as a background.
As part of the historical collection, this color group has been around for at least 40 years when the collection was first released, so it’s time-tested. I love the medium depth of this beige, but it’s very neutral in tone, meaning it’s well balanced between grey, green and yellow. And it doesn’t change all that much in different lighting conditions, making it a very stable color for spaces that are used both day and night. That is a
A deep, rich beige moving to a brown-based grey-beige (or taupe), this is a rich color that returns to the background despite its medium depth of colour. Its gray base helps it blend into room landscapes despite its rich nature, which allows the decor to take center stage. A really great background color with a little boldness!
Finally, Benjamin Moore’s Natural Linen (CC-90) is a close option, finishing in sixth place. This is a lighter beige than the other five on this list, but is great for hallways, basements, bedrooms, or anywhere you want a light neutral that’s darker than white but doesn’t turn pink or pink after application peachy discolored on the wall. Also worth a look!

What is a golden tan?
The reason behind some people are fair and some are golden is because of the melanin present in the body. It can be understood as a natural pigment, which is present in everyone’s body. The ratio of the melanin present in the skin contributes to the skin color. So, more melanin in the skin results in the golden tan.

Many people crave a healthy-looking tanned skin from time to time.
There are several ways to achieve a sun-kissed tan, but before doing so, it’s essential to understand what causes the skin color changes.
We humans have many unique things that set us apart, including language, size, eye shape, hair color, and more. Skin color is one of the things people want to know about in their lives.
The reason some people are fair and some are golden is because of the melanin present in the body. It can be understood as a natural pigment that is present in every body. The ratio of melanin present in the skin contributes to skin color. So more melanin in the skin leads to a golden tan. Fair skinned people tend to have bodies that produce less melanin. So now it’s time to shed some light on how to increase the melanin present in the body.
Pro tips for a golden tan
Achieving beautiful tan skin is no longer a fairy tale, but a reality these days. Darkening the skin naturally may seem difficult. However, some changes in your regime can make a difference. There are many ways to get a beautiful brown tan. Let’s start!
Change your diet
Eating tomato-based foods is one of the most effective ways to darken skin. Taking tomato juice or tomato puree along with carrots and greens helps the skin turn an orange/brown color. Regardless of skin color, anyone can use it to get the results they want. Also, tomato-based foods help protect the skin from the harmful effects of the sun’s ultraviolet rays.
Apply natural oil
Emu oil has taken the world by storm. With immense benefits, it has worked wonders in people’s lives. For those who want to get golden skin, this oil can be used to create high levels of melanin production. Regular use of natural oil increases dark pigmentation, which makes the skin look tanned. As the natural oil market is bombarded, buy trusted and quality products to get the best results.
moisturizing the skin
Lately it has been observed that many companies claim that their moisturizers naturally tan the skin. The products have come onto the market and provide a subtle tan on the skin all year round. Some products leave a strong odor, but some people still use them. The best thing about most of these moisturizers is that they are affordable. As a result, people looking for a gradual tan are giving it a try.
magic of sunlight
When it comes to naturally increasing melanin in the skin, the idea of spending time in the sun comes up. Although exposing skin cells to the sun and darkening skin color usually works well, overexposure to the sun brings a lot of problems. Those who spend excessive amounts of time in the sun end up with skin problems such as wrinkles, skin irritation, sunburn, rashes and cancer. Therefore, it is always recommended to spend a little time in the sun to get a golden look.
Sunscreen helps protect the body from burns, so be sure to put it on before going outside. Reduce sun exposure if anything seems unusual. Getting a modest tan with sunlight is a great idea, but make sure you don’t spend hours and hours on it every day.
melanin pills
The search for an outstanding phenomenon is all the rage these days. Tanning pills have made it possible for people to maintain their natural tan by making a small change in natural skin care. There’s also no need to sit endless hours in the sun or wait for the sun to rise high in the sky. They work effectively and calm people down by helping them with copper glow.
Types of tanning pills
Some people fear taking melanin pills due to the myth that the pills are unsafe to use. Oddly enough, before jumping to any conclusion, it’s important to familiarize yourself with the types of tanning pills.
There are two types of tanning or melanin pills including canthaxanthin-based and copper-based. The former can be defined as the process of changing skin tone from orange to tan. Since it’s a temporary method to make skin appear dark, it’s not the best. When a person stops taking the pills, the tan begins to go away. Additionally, these pills have many side effects that can lead to health problems including nausea, diarrhea, cramps and many more.
On the other hand, the copper-based pills are safe to use and work effectively on almost all skin types. Unlike canthaxanthin-based pills, these pills do not penetrate the skin. Some of the other ingredients like vitamins, copper, amino acids and antioxidants ensure the pills work efficiently by increasing melanin levels in the body. If one desires safe and effective tanning pills, the person should only choose copper-based pills.
Things to consider before buying tanning pills
All women and men are chasing secrets to get glowing skin that catches others’ attention. Fair skinned people often tend to wish for healthy, glowing and golden skin. The internet is full of searches for safe, effective and long lasting tanning. The tanning pills do the trick and help you get the tan you want without spending long hours in the sun. Here’s a comprehensive guide to choosing the right product for your needs.
Benevolence to know the experience
Everyone wants an attractive body to flaunt. Understanding customers’ needs is the first thing companies keep in mind when manufacturing a product. Then the real challenge is figuring out how to provide customers with the right quality products without burning a big hole in their pockets. Making this possible requires extensive knowledge and research.
In general, companies that succeed in fulfilling the customers’ purpose at the best prices gain a good reputation in the market. So go online and look for tanning pill reviews and ratings. The process of buying these pills is like buying any other product; Compare different brands based on a few factors like services, reputation, quality of the product and price.
Go with a company that offers the best products and unmatched services such as: B. TAN ME tanning pills.
Ingredients tell the truth
The use of melanin pills is increasing at breakneck speed worldwide. Due to the skyrocketing demand for such products, many tablets are being introduced in the industry. It has made it difficult for people to choose from the huge list.
A tip here is to create a list of brands that offer transparency by stating the ingredients in the products. After that select some names that deliver tanning pills with natural ingredients. Prioritizing natural products is fundamental as such products are easily synthesized with the bloodstream without harming the body.
Chemical-based pills can show skin tanning within a few days, but the consequences can lead to health problems. Because of this, people are always advised to read the ingredients used in the manufacture of tanning pills. Although the organic products take some time to achieve the perfect sun-kissed look, they are perfect because they do not harm the health of the person swallowing the pills. Look for brands that maintain a high standard when manufacturing the products.
Security guaranteed
The World Wide Web has become a door of many opportunities for entrepreneurs. With millions and millions of people using the internet every day, it is easy to reach them and market the products and services. Various brands market their tanning pills as being made with organically extracted ingredients. However, not everyone claims and guarantees the same thing.
A person looking for tanning pills should do some preliminary work and select companies that mention guarantees on the words. After all, health is the most important asset of every human being, which must be cared for at a cost. As mentioned above, organically extracted ingredients, vitamins and minerals are safe for skin and overall health.
Avoid those who boast too much
A golden and sun-kissed look enhances the person’s overall personality. But there is no magic wand that makes it possible overnight. Unscrupulous individuals often enter the market and lure customers with false claims and catchy headlines. Selling tanning pills as magic pills is a tactic used to extort money from customers. Consuming such pills can harm the body, so only choose tanning pills that contain beta-carotene and other organic substances.
Summarize
Gone are the days of the fair skin obsession. Nowadays, people join the tan train to get the golden glow. Getting the golden and tanned look is possible without spending hours and hours in the sun. Consider the above factors to get a good bang for your buck and hit the jackpot.

How to Tan Faster Here are 10 ways to tan faster to avoid prolonged sun exposure. Use sunscreen with an SPF of 30. Always wear a sunscreen with broad spectrum UV protection of at least SPF 30. Never use a tanning oil that doesn’t contain sunscreen. Be sure to apply sunscreen within 20 minutes of being outdoors. An SPF of 30 is strong enough to block UVA and UVB rays, but not so strong that you won’t tan. Cover your body with at least an ounce of sunscreen. Change positions often. This will help you avoid burning any part of your body. Eat foods that contain beta carotene. Foods like carrots, sweet potatoes, and kale can help you tan without burning. More research is needed, but some studies show that beta-carotene may help reduce sun sensitivity in people with photosensitive disorders. Try to use oils with naturally occurring SPF. While these shouldn’t replace your regular sunscreen, certain oils like avocado, coconut, raspberry, and carrot can be used for an extra dose of hydration and SPF protection. Don’t stay out longer than your skin can produce melanin. Melanin is the pigment responsible for tanning. Everyone has a melanin threshold, which is usually around 2 to 3 hours. After this period of time, your skin will not darken on any given day. If you tan past this point, you’re damaging your skin. Eat foods rich in lycopene. Examples are tomatoes, guavas and watermelons. A small 2011 study (and older research like this 2001 study) found that lycopene helps protect skin naturally from UV rays. Choose your tanning time wisely. If you want to get a quick tan, the sun is usually at its strongest between 12pm and 3pm. However, remember that while the sun is at its strongest during this time, it does the most damage due to the strength of the rays and is likely to increase the risk of skin cancer due to this exposure. If you have extremely light skin, it is best to tan in the morning or after 3 p.m. to avoid burns. Consider wearing a strapless top. This can help you get an even tan without lines. seek shade. Taking breaks makes you less likely to burn yourself and it gives your skin a break from the intense heat. Prepare before you tan. Preparing your skin before going outside can help your tan last longer. Try exfoliating your skin before tanning. Skin that has not been exfoliated is more likely to flake. Using an aloe vera gel after tanning can also help your tan last longer.
What determines your tan tone? Everyone is unique when it comes to how dark their skin gets in the sun. Some people will burn almost immediately, and some people will rarely burn. This is mainly due to melanin, the pigment responsible for tanning, found in hair, skin and even the eyes. People with lighter skin have less melanin and may burn or turn red in the sun. People with darker skin have more melanin and get darker as they tan. However, dark-skinned people are still at risk for sunburn and skin cancer. Melanin is produced naturally by the body to protect the deep layers of the skin from damage. Remember that the sun damages your skin even if you are not sunburned.
A Note About Tanning Beds You’ve probably heard by now that tanning beds and tanning beds are not safe. They actually carry more risks than tanning outside in the sun. Indoor solariums expose the body to high levels of UVA and UVB radiation. The World Health Organization’s International Agency for Research on Cancer classifies tanning beds as carcinogenic. According to Harvard Health, tanning beds emit UVA rays that are up to three times more intense than the UVA rays in natural sunlight. Even UVB intensity can approach that of bright sunlight. Tanning beds are extremely dangerous and should be avoided. Safer alternatives are spray tans or lotions that use dihydroxyacetone (DHA) to darken the skin.
Precautions When Tanning Tanning can become a little safer if you do it for a very short period of time, drink water, wear sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30 on your skin and lips, and protect your eyes. Avoid: Falling asleep in the sun
wear a sun protection factor of less than 30
Drinking alcohol, which can be dehydrating. Don’t forget: reapply sunscreen every 2 hours and after bathing.
Apply SPF to your scalp, toes, ears and other spots that are easy to miss.
Turn frequently so they brown evenly without burning.
Drink plenty of water, wear a hat and protect your eyes with sunglasses.

We are often asked if very fair skinned people can get a real tan. Yes! We know it’s possible. We saw her out there. Scandinavians, Germans, people who are incredibly pale by nature and strut around with stunning golden tans. How do you do that? We caught some of these clever tanned goddesses and they shared their tanning secrets for fair skinned people…read on!
1. Burns are your number one enemy. Always use sunscreen
Staying in the sun for too long and not using protection will only burn you. And once that happens, it’s all downhill from there.
Some may argue that after firing, they get tanned a few days later. This may be the case if you have olive skin, but if you are fair then chances are you have damaged and dried out skin. All you’ll get is skin that peels off like a lizard, not to mention days of pain. And then you have to start the tanning process all over again.
You may be thinking, “But how can I get a tan if I use sunscreen?”
The answer to that is that protection doesn’t stop you from tanning, it stops you from BURNING. When you protect yourself from burns, you give your skin a good chance to produce melanin*.
Bottom line: the more comfortable your skin is, the happier it will be and the better it will tan!
*Melanin: the pigment produced by your skin that gives it a tanned colour.
2. Take your time and slowly build up your tan
Everyone reacts differently to the sun, but here are some guidelines to get you started:
When tanning in the sun, start with just 15-20 minutes in the sun for your first session. On your subsequent tanning sessions, only increase your time by 5-10 minute increments and monitor your skin regularly to make sure you don’t start to redden and burn.
When tanning on a tanning bed, start with 2-3 minutes. Spread out your sessions and don’t go every day. As your tan develops, you can increase the number of minutes you leave on. Again, only increase your exposure time gradually and only in 1-2 minute increments at a time.
3. Let your skin rest
Remember: tanning, or the production of melanin in your skin cells, continues for a few hours after being in the sun/on a tanning bed. So you don’t have to sit in the sun/on a tanning bed until you see a color developing for you to know you’re tanned. Your cells have already been stimulated to begin the tanning process, and by giving your skin a break after sunbathing (i.e. sitting indoors or in the shade after tanning in the sun) it will benefit tremendously from giving you the tan to lend what you are looking for. In the evening you are browner than during the tanning session.
4. Get a kick start
The use of tanning accelerators undoubtedly speeds up the entire tanning process and kickstarts your skin’s natural tanning process. If you’re short on time or want to see results faster, this is the stuff for you. When tanning in the sun, apply over your SPF cream. If you are tanning on a tanning bed, apply before proceeding. We recommend Carrot Sun’s papaya or coconut tan or watermelon accelerators as the best tools we’ve found to build that base tan surprisingly quickly.
5. Take care of your skin while tanning
In order to produce melanin, your skin needs the melanin component L-tyrosine. Carrot Sun tanning accelerators contain L-Tyrosine, so applying it to your skin on top of your SPF cream means you’re delivering exactly what your skin needs to tan directly.
6. Create the perfect tanning conditions right on your skin
High-quality tanning accelerators contain vitamins, antioxidants and essential fatty acids that nourish the skin and create optimal tanning conditions for your skin. All Carrot Sun products contain these high quality ingredients.
7. Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize!
It is not only important to moisturize your skin after tanning, but also during tanning. Moisturize inside and out: So drink plenty of water and use a highly moisturizing product on your skin. Carrot Sun products do this for you by intensely hydrating and creating a layer on the skin’s surface that locks in moisture for the duration of your tanning session.
8. Tan regularly
This might seem pretty obvious, but the tricky part for fair-skinned people is building that initial base tan. Slowly increase the amount of time you spend in the sun/tanning bed and do this regularly so you don’t fall behind and have to start all over again. Once this base tan has been achieved, you can extend your exposure to the sun/tanning bed and your tan will deepen much more quickly. To deepen your tan and get the darkest possible tan, we recommend Carrot Sun or Tropical Fruit.
9. Cheat a little – just a little!
Using a tanning accelerator that contains bronzer will give your skin a tint, an extra little tan color that will make you look tanned before you’ve even started tanning. It’s not like a fake tan, it doesn’t streak, and when you use Carrot Sun you get a faint golden hue from an all-natural, plant-based bronzer called henna, which also prolongs the life of your tan. Carrot Sun products that contain henna are carrot, papaya, and tropical fruit.
The main principle is simple: be good to your skin and your skin will be good to you!
Happy tanning!

How to get a bronze tan
Who among us would not like to have a breathtaking bronze tan that makes our skin appear even and radiant? But common sense is also required when tanning, because lying in the scorching sun does little to achieve the desired tone. Also, if you don’t protect yourself, the sun’s rays can certainly cause health problems.
Darkening of the skin – this is a protective reaction of the body to ultraviolet rays. Under the influence of these rays, melanin is released, which prevents the destruction of DNA and forms a tan on the body.
How long and at what time of the day can you sunbathe?
Although tanning causes damage in the form of burns and overheating, it can be beneficial. By keeping track of the time of your sunbathing, you can get beautiful skin and revitalize yourself at the beach at the same time. The strength of the sun’s rays depends on the time of day:
1. High intensity
From 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., a strong exposure to UV rays can be observed on the skin. Depending on the region, these ads may be delayed by 1-2 hours. From 12:00 p.m., better a little earlier, it’s worth going in or in the shade. Sunscreen won’t save you when you’re directly under the sun, as 20 minutes in the heat is enough to burn you.
At midday, the effects of UV rays on the skin are at their most destructive. The aging process is set in motion by the destruction of collagen while also creating the risk of cancer and neoplasms. You will not get a bronze tan in such conditions.
2. Medium intensity
The sun shines with medium intensity from 10:00 to 12:00 and from 16:00 to 17:00. This is a good time to tan, but it’s definitely worth using sunscreen. This time is also dangerous for people with health problems who have experienced benign or malignant skin changes, for example. It is also worth avoiding sunbathing if you have a high temperature, varicose veins or an autoimmune disease.
3. Low intensity
The sun is lowest in the morning from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and in the evening from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. This is the ideal time for sunbathing, when you can safely get a tan without having to worry about your body – the time of day when the desired bronze tone can be achieved.
The optimal length of sun exposure depends on your skin color type, but there’s a general rule for everyone: the lighter your hair and skin, the less time you can spend in the sun. Therefore, people with white skin and blond hair need to be on the beach for 30-40 minutes. If you have a dark complexion and dark hair – up to an hour and a half.
How do I get a bronze skin tone?
The secret of this tan is the gradual accumulation of melanin. You cannot abruptly go to the beach and lie there to the extreme; Otherwise you will only get a sunburn. In this case, you can forget about a bronze shade.
Also, before you start your vacation by the sea, get outside, go for a walk and sunbathe if possible. If you have a private house, it is even easier to adjust your body to the sun. You can go to the yard in bathing suits and sunbathe a little. Here are the key rules for a bronze tan:
Don’t spend all day at the beach. With low and medium UV radiation, you can lie directly in the sun. If you can’t leave the beach, get in the shade and apply a sunscreen with SPF 40 or 50. You have to fill this up every time you have been swimming. Start with a little time in the sun. If the dark pigment manifests itself, increase this amount. Dive into the water frequently. It contributes to tanning, especially in sea water. As your skin darkens, it pays to lower the factor of your sunscreen. If your tan is almost bronze, use a cream with a lower protection level, e.g. B. 25 SPF.
The main problem for sunbathers is trying to achieve an even tan. In some places it can be more intense, depending on the position of the body in relation to the sun. Because of this, lying in a pose and expecting to get an even tan is pointless. You need to move and dip regularly for it to develop evenly.
In no case should you fall asleep in the sun, because you will not feel the moment when your skin begins to burn in the sun. You could get sick from severe overheating. Showering is a must after a visit to the beach. Your skin will become dehydrated from the salt; Therefore, it is worth applying after the sun.
Dining while on a resort vacation
Getting a bronze tan isn’t enough just going to the beach. Depending on your skin type, your skin may take on a different color, such as brown or ashen. If you want beautiful bronze skin above all else, then it’s worth adding some foods to your diet. Fresh fruits and vegetables with a high content of vitamins A, E and C are of great benefit. Not only do they make your skin healthier, but they also give it that bronze color.
This is especially true of orange fruits and vegetables: pumpkins, pineapples, carrots, oranges, tangerines, peaches, and melons. They contain beta keratin, which colors the pigment with an even, reddish hue. It also helps keep the skin moisturized and protects it from premature aging. Personally, I love carrot smoothies—a key part of my summer diet. Note, however, that beta keratin must be combined with fats in order for it to be digested. My personal approach is to mix carrots, cream and water, sometimes with the addition of apples.
On vacation, it is better to replace meat with fish. Seafood prevents the skin from drying out and peeling. And don’t forget the water, as the sun can severely dehydrate the body. In order to feel comfortable on the beach, I drink around 2 liters of clean water every day on vacation. Note that water with lemon is not the water your body needs, neither do tea and coffee.
What to do with burns
Sometimes in pursuit of the ideal tan we can overdo it and burn it. This used to happen to me especially when I was trying to tan as quickly as possible. In such cases, of course, it is worth giving up tanning for some time and always walking around clothed. My shoulders and nose burn the most, so I try to take sleeveless t-shirts with me on vacation. Also, I always wear sunscreen for my face and apply it as soon as I feel the skin on my nose has become dry.
Apply a revitalizing cream at this point – I use panthenol. Also, drink as much water as you can – that means adding at least one more liter to your usual 2 liters. There are a lot of old wives’ tales, like putting Smetana on fire, but I personally have much more faith in the exclusive products.
To sum up
So, to get a bronze tan you need:
Tan in intervals, preferably before 12:00 p.m. or after 4:00 p.m. Use sunscreen. swim and move. Drink water, eat fruits and vegetables that contain beta keratin.
It’s better not to treat a bronzed tan as the be-all and end-all of your vacation. You’ve finally arrived on the stunning island of Cyprus, so let that tan be just a pleasant addition to the exciting adventures that await!

The color gold conjures up images of wealth, royalty and treasure and represents wealth and prestige. Gold is rich and reflective and can be difficult to replicate when mixing colors. If you get it wrong, you’ll end up producing a color that looks like mustard or rust. Mixing the perfect gold color is all about understanding the correct color ratios, so knowing what colors make gold is important.
A Brief History of Gold
Gold metal has been the primary inspiration for the color over the years, but other natural forms of the color can be seen in the hues of fall, flowers and sunlight. Gold is an amazing color that has been used for many years. In ancient times, yellow ocher was used as a popular pigment for the color gold; However, it is not quite the same as metallic gold. Fortunately, many variations of gold have evolved over the years to the present day.
The ancient Egyptians and Romans used a type of gold paint made from brown, orange and yellow pigments in their art. The gold color was revered by the Egyptians as an eternal color and used to represent ceremonial objects and other items in their art. To achieve a golden hue, they added a small amount of saffron to the yellow ocher. They also used solid gold in funerary objects, such as the famous gold mask of Tutankhamen. Greek culture sees power and immortality in gold. Helios, the Greek sun god, is always dressed in gold and rides a golden chariot. Many of the Greek gods were depicted with golden or yellow hair.
Gold leaf became popular and was used in paintings in Italy between the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries. In the Middle Ages gold leaf was applied to religious objects such as altarpieces and this continued into the Renaissance. At the beginning of the 20th century, Gustav Klimt, now a well-known artist, used gold leaf in his paintings during his so-called “gold phase”. The color gold is still used today to represent wealth, success and elegance. Gold is not only used in painting but can also be used in decor to add a sense of glamor and class.

Color Theory and Gold Colors
In order to create a greater variety of colors and hues, it is important to have a basic understanding of color theory. Looking at the color wheel, gold can be anywhere between yellow and orange. The more yellow it contains, the lighter it becomes. To decrease color saturation, there should be more of the color orange. Common warm colors are orange, yellow and of course red. As gold is close to these colors they can all be viewed as analogous or as a group of colors lying together. Adding red to your gold color will make it warmer. However, if you’ve added too much red, a little yellow can help balance it out.
All cooler colors are on the opposite side and include your blues, purples, and greens. These are your complementary colors to your warm colors. Simply adding blue to your gold color creates a cooler tone. Try not to add too much or you will create more of a muddy brown color.
When it comes to making gold lighter or darker, you can add some white or yellow in small amounts to lighten it and brown to darken it. You can also use black to darken gold, but it could result in too much of a change that you can’t easily fix. So adding brown or even blue is a safer choice.
What two colors make gold?
Gold colors are usually warmer to the touch, but as with all colors, there are many different shades and hues. When creating gold with two colors, you need to combine yellow and brown. When combining these two colors always start with yellow as adding brown to yellow is much quicker while it might take quite a bit of yellow color to overcome brown to make gold. To create more brilliant gold colors and other shades and shades, you need to mix different color ratios.
For example, adding more yellow makes the color lighter. This can also be achieved by adding more white paint. Always remember to add colors carefully in small increments until you get the color you want. Once you have your base brown and don’t want to affect the shade but give it a more realistic metallic look, try adding some orange.
You can also use the three primary colors to create gold. First mix yellow and blue to get green, then add some red to create brown. You can then add more yellow color to the brown to create gold.
shades of gold
As with all color, you have a number of different shades and tints to choose from, especially when working with computer graphics color. These colors can be identified by their hex code, which indicates the amounts of color present and is known as RGB (Red, Green, and Blue). When you have reached your desired color, add the pigment and mix. You only need a small pinch to achieve the metallic look.
