Weak hits or no taste A burnt taste isn’t the only problem that can happen when you’re chaining to a disposable e-cigarette. Some disposable vapes have automatic temperature sensing features. Temperature sensing prevents a disposable vape from producing a burnt taste when the wick is dry and causes the device to produce an extremely small cloud instead. If you’re getting weak puffs or no flavor when using a disposable vaporizer, it’s likely that you’re vaping too quickly and not giving the device’s wick enough time to resaturate between puffs. Are you still getting weak puffs from your disposable vape even though you’re vaping slowly? It is possible that the nicotine strength you are using is not suitable for your needs. If a higher nicotine strength is available, give it a try.

The most common cleaning method is to take a cotton swab and dip the tip in rubbing alcohol. While this is enough, excess liquid on or around your battery is never a good thing. After blotting both the bottom of the cartridge and the connection point on the battery, allow both parts to dry completely before reassembling and powering on.

An equally effective cleaning method is to have a packet of Ooze Resolution Res Wipes on hand! These cloths are specially designed to cut through resin and wax residue and one side has small scrubbing points that really get the dirt into town. Place a cloth over the battery connection point and use your cotton swab to press down on the connection and scrub away the dirt. After cleaning, screw the cartridge back onto the device.

If this doesn’t work, it could be because your cartridge is an irregular size or has a deformed spool. Sometimes you can solve this problem by simply tightening or loosening the cartridge until you find the sweet spot that makes a good connection. If your cartridge just isn’t compatible with a 510-threaded battery, it might be time to look for a new brand!

It can be almost impossible to look at, but unfortunately every once in a while legitimate pharmacy cartridges exhibit a deformed coil. This means that the hardware is not properly aligned with the battery’s heating element, forcing the error. To determine if this is your problem, try a different carriage that you know has previously worked with your pen. This can be an empty wagon or just an old one lying around. If that other cartridge works, the problem is with the new cartridge. Many pharmacies understand that this can happen and are willing to exchange it for another, working one. It never hurts to ask! To power up the v1, simply screw on your compatible cartridge (all Sanctuary carts will work with the v1, but there are numerous other battery options), quickly press the mug button five times and wait for it to light up.

The v1 has three heat settings denoted by different colors – green is low, blue is medium and red is high. To set the heat level, press the button three times and the color will change along with the setting. For the best flavor and shelf life of the oil, we recommend using your v1 on a low heat. If you’re looking for bigger hits, increase the setting to medium.

We STRONGLY advise against using the high heat setting for a number of reasons. The atomizer doesn’t need to be that hot to vaporize cannabis oil properly, and elevated temperatures will overload the cartridge capacity while making your device more prone to clogging. Even if the cartridge doesn’t return, the oil and atomizer will carbonize, affecting the flavor and overall experience for the life of that cartridge.

We know some of our consumers prefer the huge cloud experience, in which case we recommend dapping some of our delicious concentrates instead. More hits on medium heat are better for the health of your cartridge, more efficient in terms of how your body absorbs cannabinoids, and tastier overall.

With the vape

The v1 is triggered at the push of a button. Pressing the button activates the coil which in turn powers the heating coil inside the atomizer and vaporizes the cannabis oil inside. For the best experience, press the button, wait half a second, start inhaling, and release the button a second or two before your draw ends.

You don’t have to press the button multiple times during a draw; The heated, vaporized oil is naturally drawn into the chamber once the coil is fired. If you heat the oil without drawing on the vape you will char the product and lose flavor and vaporization in the rest of the cartridge. Releasing the button before completing the draw helps cool the atomizer and the oil around it, preserving flavor and preventing clogging.

As for techniques, the impulse can be to take a strong hit with lots of suction to get a big hit. However, it is better to pretend to smoke a joint or cigarette when using the vape pen as it does not require as much airflow. As mentioned, the device vaporizes while also naturally drawing more oil into the chamber, so it doesn’t take much enthusiasm when drawing to get a clean, solid hit. Bigger, more aggressive hits deliver raspier hits that work harder on the lungs and increase the potential for clogs.

For the best experience, we recommend taking several smaller, smoother hits on low heat rather than one monster hit. Like hitting a joint, use your cheek muscles to draw the vapor into your mouth before inhaling it into your lungs. You’ll still be able to pull off a big, compressed draw since soft draws are generally longer.

Troubleshooting clogs

All vape pens are prone to clogging, especially if you use a heat setting that is too high. Should your cartridge become clogged, there is a heating feature built into the v1 unit that can help clear the blockage. This should only be used to clear clogs; As discussed above, preheating the oil is unnecessary and can cause charring and additional clogging and will not result in a bigger hit.

To access the keep warm function, quickly press the mug twice. This triggers a low voltage current to be passed through the atomizer to begin heating up the device. After double-tapping, wait three to five seconds before gently dragging the pen. Don’t inhale the fumes (in and out of your mouth, just like you would with a cigar), but puff lightly several times to allow the timer to count down over the course of 15 seconds. This should clear the clog and allow you to get on with your vape as usual.

More severe blockages may require a more complex solution. Often the solution can be as simple as running a toothpick down and back up the mouthpiece opening of a cartridge to dislodge oil buildup in the vapor shaft. This should be done at room temperature of the cartridge (not just after a hit when the cartridge is still hot inside).

The most common problem you will have with a disposable vape is that it won’t light. The light may flash when you inhale, but no vapor comes out. Maybe nothing happens when you inhale. There are several reasons why your vape pen could hit and we’ll start with the most likely.

No more e-liquid

The most common reason a disposable vape stops hitting is because it’s simply out of e-liquid. The average disposable vape contains enough e-liquid for up to 200 puffs, but the operative term there is “up to”. You probably won’t get as many hits if you take extremely deep breaths or vape so often that the coil of the device is left in an overheated state.

Some disposable vapes have windows that let you see how much e-liquid is left. If you can’t see any vapor juice through the window, your device is done.

If your disposable vape has an indicator light, it can show you the status of the battery. Does the light flash or glow a different color – usually red – when you breathe in? Does the device not do anything? The battery is ready. In some cases, you can get an extra hit or two out of a dead disposable vape if you leave the device alone for several hours.

A disposable e-cigarette is usually calibrated so that the battery lasts slightly longer than the e-liquid supply. If your device’s battery dies, the pod is almost certainly dead too.

The air flow sensor is not sensitive

A disposable vape uses an airflow sensor to detect when you draw. Sometimes a disposable vape that doesn’t hit doesn’t work because the airflow sensor isn’t sensitive enough or because the sensor is blocked by condensation inside the device. If you cover one of the device’s intake vents with your finger while you puff, you increase the pressure of the air passing through the disposable vaporizer. This can cause the draft sensor to work again.

Disposable vape has never worked

If you have a disposable vape that has never worked, it could be due to improper assembly at the factory. Luckily, it’s possible to fix this problem with a little ingenuity — and a pair of tweezers.

This solution may not work with all disposable vapes, but it will work with many vape pens that use the rectangular “puff bar” design that has become so common lately.

Use tweezers to pry the mouthpiece off your disposable vaporizer. Under the mouthpiece you will most likely see a cotton pad with a hole in the middle. The pad is designed to catch condensation and prevent the device from gurgling and splashing. Is the pad crumpled up? Remove it and position it so the hole in the cotton pad lines up with the hole in the rubber stopper underneath.

If the cotton isn’t bunched, remove it and set it aside. Examine the rubber stopper. Can you clearly see a hole leading to the inside of the device, or does the hole appear to be blocked? If the hole is plugged, you can either remove the plug and reposition it, or try opening the hole with a wooden toothpick. Once you have done this, the device should work properly. Reassemble it and get back to vaping.

Disposable Vape Weak Hits

If your disposable vape is giving you weak hits, one possible reason is that the nicotine strength just isn’t right for you. Next time consider buying a device with a stronger e-liquid. If the device has worked in the past and has suddenly become less satisfying – or you just want to get a more intense hit from your disposable vaporizer – these tips may help.

Block the airflow opening

A moment ago we suggested partially blocking your device’s intake port to increase air pressure. Covering the vent with your finger has another effect: it reduces the cooling effect of the incoming air, making the vapor warmer and more intense. Give it a try if your device isn’t giving you the big, satisfying rips you like.

If you have a disposable pod-based vape, you could get weak hits if air bubbles form around the pod’s wicks. Gently tap the device on a table to break up the air bubbles. After giving the wicks a few seconds to get wet, you should be able to get some nice hits again.

Give your vape a moment to rest

Many disposable vapes store their e-liquid in a cloth-based filling material. As you vape, absorption causes the e-liquid to move towards the coil on the outside of the weave. However, if you’re chain vaping, you’re not giving the e-liquid a chance to absorb. Try a slower vapor pace. The cotton near the vaporizer coil must be wet for your device to produce a satisfactory draw.

Is your disposable vape giving you a burnt taste? This is a sure sign that you need to slow down. Most disposable e-cigarettes lack any kind of temperature control feature. If you maintain such a rapid vaporization rate that you continuously vaporize before the wick has a chance to hold more e-liquid, you can burn the wick. Slower. If you have a pod-based device, try not to squeeze the sides of the pod. If the pod flexes, it can force excess e-liquid into the device’s atomizer coil assembly.

Can you charge a disposable vape?

If your disposable vape has fiber-based fill material inside, you will need to remove the fill material from the device and infuse it again with e-liquid. When the filler is wet again, you can reassemble the device and continue vaping.
