SBCGlobal.net is an online domain name. It can be your email address or the email address of someone you know. SBCGlobal email addresses were issued by SBC Communications, a company formerly known as Southwestern Bell Corporation. SBC merged with AT&T in 2005 and the merged company is known as AT&T.

2. Select the very first message.

3. Scroll all the way down to where you want to delete the message. If you want to delete all messages at once, scroll down to the bottom.

4. Hold down the “Shift” key on your keyboard and select the message.

If you’re using the upgraded inbox, you can’t delete more than 50 messages at a time. The new inbox has a built-in feature to delete all emails at once.

Just click the Clean Inbox button as below. It will move all emails to reach.

Now you have a clean inbox. If you don’t want to archive the emails but want to permanently delete them, follow the steps below.

Just check the box and allow Yahoo Mail to load all emails. Just scroll down to make sure all messages load. Now click on the Delete button.

I used to have an AT&T Yahoo email account that merged my older Yahoo email address and the AT&T account I created a long time ago to sign up for one of their services.

I wanted to unlink and delete my Yahoo account because I no longer use Yahoo, but I wanted to keep the AT&T account.

I vaguely remember something happening to the merged accounts a while back. To find out what happened to AT&T Yahoo and see if I can unlink the two accounts, I dug deep into the internet.

What I found was pleasantly surprising, and after a few hours of research I knew what had happened to the merged email service.

I decided to create this guide using the information I could gather.

The intent is to shed some light on the situation and what it means if you were previously an AT&T Yahoo email user.

After the contract between Yahoo and AT&T expires, the merged email accounts will be automatically disconnected and most of your data will be saved.

Read on to find out about the current situation and see how you can export your email to another email service.

Current status of AT&T Yahoo Mail

In June 2017, AT&T and Yahoo had decided to part ways and discontinue their partner email service.

As a result of the split, AT&T will lose access to Yahoo’s servers and Yahoo will no longer be able to use AT&T’s servers.

This means that the merged accounts will be automatically unmerged while the passwords remain the same.

You can’t sign in to your Yahoo account with the following domains:

att.net

ameritech.net

bellsouth.net

flash.net

nvbell.net

pacbell.net

prodigy.net

sbcglobal.net

snet.net

swbell.net

wans.net

This includes Tumblr, where you can no longer sign up with an email address with one of these domains.

Yahoo says you need to update your email to something that will work with their system after this update.

Do you have to do something?

The update means you need to change your email address to something more appropriate.

In order to do this:

Open your account settings at Yahoo. Click the pencil icon next to your email address. Enter the new address and enter your password. Save the new details.

AT&T and Yahoo have already completed the rest of the cancellation process, and you don’t need to do anything else.

What is saved?

As a result of the split, some content will be saved from your merged accounts while others will be deleted.

All of your email, folders, and contacts for your merged accounts are saved when you sign in with your YahooID.

Any Yahoo accounts you merged with AT&T would have become separate Yahoo accounts after the split.

Any sub-accounts you have linked to any of these Yahoo accounts will also keep their email, contacts, and other content.

What is deleted?

However, what will be deleted is all emails from the AT&T account.

Email, contacts, calendar and information related to Yahoo services such as Yahoo Sports, Groups and Tumblr.

The data will be moved to your new Yahoo account and your AT&T account will revert to a new account.

However, the AT&T sub-accounts remain AT&T sub-accounts.

How to export emails across email accounts

It’s pretty easy to transfer all your inboxes and saved emails to another email service.

I wanted to move everything on my Yahoo account to a Gmail account I created as a replacement.

Switch to Outlook

To switch to Microsoft Outlook:

Sign in to your Outlook inbox. Click the gear icon at the top right of the webpage. Select More email settings > Manage accounts. Select Send/receive email from other accounts. Choose Add Email Account. Enter the email address and password and set a folder to save the imported emails. Save the changes.

Switch to Gmail

Enable POP access for your old email account.

Then follow these steps:

Sign in to your Gmail account. Select Settings > View All Settings. Choose accounts and import. Under Get email from other accounts, select Add an email account. Enter the old email address and click Next. Enter your old email password. Select only these check boxes Always use secure connection (SSL) when checking email Label incoming messages Select Add account.

If you’re having trouble signing in to your unmerged Yahoo email address, you’ll need to contact Yahoo.

Contact AT&T if you have trouble signing in to the new AT&T account.
