No. Your credit card statement will show something along the lines of “$20 – Uber Eats” (let’s say). You can therefore deduce that you ordered $20 worth of food, or perhaps a few dollars less with a delivery fee, but it won’t say “One hamburger and fries from Bob’s Awesome Homestyle Burgers”. No.After you take your first trip, you may see amounts listed as ‘pending’ on your bank statement or transaction history. These are authorisation holds – amounts of money that we use to verify your payment method. They are immediately voided by Uber, but they may take a few days to be released by your bank. This fee will be notified in advance on the restaurant’s menu in the app, before placing the order and on your email order once completed. This fee applies to merchants that deliver their own orders, and it’s being implemented to cover connection services (like credit card taxes, technology maintenance, etc).

Here are a few issues we see all the time:
Why was I charged twice by Uber?
I haven’t signed up for Uber One, but I’m being billed for it
My card is used for Uber rides that I never ordered
Uber took money from my account and never showed up to pick us up!
It’s always annoying when you get a surprise charge from Uber, and Uber makes it frustratingly difficult for customers to contact them. There is no customer service phone number or email address!
If you see an unexpected charge from Uber, the first thing you need to do is verify whether the charge was legit or illegitimate. If you think the charge was due to fraud, contact your cardholder and Uber. When faced with a credit card fraud issue, it’s often best to deal with your card company first and then contact Uber.
If you think Uber made a mistake, use the links below to request a review or refund.
If you take the appropriate steps, there’s a good chance an improper strain will be removed!
How to report unexpected charges from Uber
The following pages are the best way to get help directly from Uber to report an unexplained charge, double charge, or suspected fraud on your account.

You can also report issues with a charge by going to the trip receipt associated with the charge.
In the Uber app, go to: Account > Your rides > Find the ride > Scroll to the Help section > Select Get ride assistance
Real charges that might look suspicious
Your first instinct might be to suspect a surprising charge is a scam or a mistake by Uber. But there are many different legitimate accusations that could explain your problem.
double load? Could be a temporary authorization lock
If you recently took a ride and see a duplicate charge from Uber, it’s most likely a temporary authorization. Uber makes a reservation when you request a ride for the prepaid amount or the estimated fare. It is a security measure to prevent fraud.
The temporary suspension will be lifted by Uber after your ride is complete, but the charge may remain “pending” on your account for up to 3-5 business days. The duration depends on your bank.
If you see double strain, wait a few days to see if it goes away. If it doesn’t go away after 3-5 days, visit this page: I’ve been charged for a ride more than once.
Family or friend took a ride
It’s common for family members and friends to share a payment method or access to an account. If you find a surprising charge, ask the people who have access to your account to see if they covered the ride.
Surprising subscription fees from Uber One & Uber Cash
There are a few different types of recurring charges that you may not remember authorizing.
Uber One: Uber One is a $9.99 monthly subscription that gives you discounts on Uber rides and Uber Eats orders. Subscriptions renew automatically. If you see a $9.99 charge, it’s probably Uber One.
Uber Cash: A way to add money to your Uber account. There is an auto-refill function. Uber cash deposits are $25, $50, or $100. Check your wallet in the Uber app to see if you have Uber Cash auto-refill turned on.
Uber fees
There are several charges from Uber that may appear on your account as a surprise charge.
Cancellation Fees: Range from $3 to $10. You will be charged a cancellation fee if you cancel more than 2 minutes after being matched with a driver or if your driver cancels after waiting at your location for more than 5 minutes. Have your cancellation fee checked here.
Cleaning Fees: If you leave a mess or damage a driver’s car, you may be charged a fee. Cleaning fees are typically $20, $40, $80, $150. Get your cleaning fee checked here.

What to do about illegal charges, fraud and suspicious account activity?
If your charges don’t fall under any of the legitimate reasons, it could be an error by Uber or a scam.
Watch out for these suspicious activities:
Receipts for rides you don’t know
Updating account information without your input
Calls or texts from Uber drivers about a pickup when you haven’t requested a ride
If any of the above apply to you, use one of the contact pages at help.uber.com to report the issue.
Suspicion of fraud? Contact your cardholder first
If you suspect your credit or debit card has been compromised and used for Uber, contact your cardholder first. Your card information may have been stolen and your first step is to protect your account from further fraud.
First, inform your cardholder of the problem. Stopping the scam is more important than telling Uber about the scam.
Most cards offer fraud protection along with 24/7 customer support. Uber is much harder to get hold of, and you’ll generally get better results by contacting your cardholder first.
After contacting your cardholder, try reporting the issue to Uber through one of the help sites above. If you suspect your Uber account has been compromised, change your password.
Can you get a refund from Uber? What to expect
In general, the chances of an indictment being reversed are high when an indictment is in fact illegitimate. Contacting Uber is a slow process, but if you use the right forms and provide clear information, Uber usually has enough information to determine if a charge was wrong.
If you’re not getting results from Uber, you always have the nuclear option: a chargeback. If you think a charge was improper and Uber hasn’t refunded you after more than a week of attempts, try opening a chargeback with your cardholder or bank.

How Does Uber Eats Work? The Ultimate Guide to Your First Order
Do you regularly take an Uber to get from place to place or to meet your friends?
On a busy holiday weekend, you might see me driving an Uber instead of being stuck behind the wheel in heavy traffic.
Have you been charged for an Uber ride that you never took?
I’ve been worried about what to do if Uber charges me for a ride I didn’t take.
To put your mind at ease, I’ve put together this guide that explains what to do and what might have happened if you’re faced with an Uber charge for a ride you never took.
Real Fees vs. Fraudulent Fees
At first glance, I might think that if Uber charged me for a ride I didn’t take, a fraudulent charge had been made.
However, there are legitimate, different reasons why an Uber account had this surcharge.
Uber may charge you for a temporary authorization hold that Uber sets in advance after you request a ride at a regular fare.
The difference between actual Uber charges and fraudulent charges for an Uber driver can also be due to your friends or family members riding on your account.
Sometimes you might have allowed your best friends to share your account.
If so, if you have a weird Uber charge on your mobile app, ask around who might have used your account.
It’s also possible that another passenger accidentally took the Uber ride you requested.
Uber’s “Confirm Your Ride” feature
To avoid the hassle of getting into the wrong Uber vehicle or getting someone a ride, consider using the Verify Your Ride feature so you know you’re getting into the right car with the right driver.
This tool is used for PIN verification.
Every time you drive, you can select this feature for more protection during an Uber ride.
You can either use this solution for all your lifts or only at night between 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. in your time zone.
After choosing this option, you will receive a four-digit PIN after requesting a ride.
Before you get in the car, tell the driver your PIN.
If this is the correct driver, they will match your PIN after entering it into their Uber mobile app.
To find the Confirm Your Ride feature, go to your Settings and click Confirm Your Ride.
Then toggle the Use PIN section and choose whether you want to use it every time you drive or just at night.

Common reasons for stress
There are several reasons why Uber may charge your account.
These reasons are discussed below.
1. Uber Fees
Uber fees can include both cancellation fees and cleaning fees.
If you wait too long to cancel an Uber ride and the platform has assigned a driver, you can expect a $5-$10 cancellation fee.
However, if your Uber driver is more than 5 minutes late to pick you up, the company will not charge you.
In addition, Uber passengers are responsible for paying for spilled food, dirt, or vomit.
Uber may charge you a cleaning fee ranging from $20 to $150 for significant cleaning needs.
2. Uber Pass
The Uber monthly pass is another reason you might have been charged.
If you’re signed up for the Uber Ride Pass or Uber Eats Pass, you’re eligible for meal delivery and ridesharing services.
These fees include both grocery and restaurant delivery or a ride to the airport.
3. Uber Cash
You may also have received a charge from Uber Cash and mistaken it for a fraudulent charge.
Uber Cash is a way to prepay for your rides.
It involves planning and setting a budget so everything is paid for upfront.
You can use Uber Cash to fund Uber rides, meal delivery orders through Uber Eats, and JUMP bikes or scooters.
4. Fraud
You need to find out if you have received a fraudulent charge through the Uber platform.
Be aware that actual costs can sometimes look fraudulent, but you may have mistaken real ones for false.
For example, a temporary authorization ban may appear like a double charge for a ride, or a specific issue may appear fraudulent.
However, an identical fee is often a temporary authorization that collects the prepayment amount when applying for an Uber fare.
This second fee is a security procedure that is in place to prevent fraud.
Once a ride is complete, Uber removes the temporary authorization, but it can take up to five days to remove the charge from your credit card or bank statement.
However, if you don’t use Uber Pass or Uber Cash and don’t have an authorization hold or a cleaning or cancellation fee, a strange charge could be fraudulent.
Beware of the Uber Code Text Scam. This is a scam that takes advantage of Uber’s 2FA security feature. This is a scam that takes advantage of Uber’s 2FA security feature.

When to report Uber fraud
There are several things you can do to check if your charge is fraudulent before looking for a way to report Uber as a scam.
If you never requested a specific ride, it’s possible someone else was logged into your account and requested the Uber ride.
Check with your friends or family to see if any of them used your account or funding source.
If no one around you has ridden through your account, you should inquire about a fraudulent charge.
If someone else picked up your ride or your driver never showed up, Uber may have charged you.
You should look for transient charges.
If you see a charge for an extra ride, it might be a pre-authorization that Uber will remove after a few days.
If they don’t remove it, the extra cost could be a scam and you should report it to Uber.
Be sure to report duplicate charges if the duplicate charge isn’t removed after five days.
If someone else charges your account and there’s suspicious activity on rides you didn’t request, you need to report fraud to both Uber and your credit card company.
You must also reset your Uber password to prevent the scam from continuing.

Get an Uber refund
You can request an Uber refund by following the steps above and using the Your Trips option on the mobile app.
However, when it comes to getting a refund, you’re more likely to get credit to your Uber account instead of money.
Uber can also sometimes refund a cancellation fee or other travel issues if you can show they wrongly charged you.
You won’t always get a refund, but if you can prove your complaint, you’ll likely get your money back.
You’ll likely receive a refund from Uber either immediately or within at least three to five days.
In the worst case, you have to wait a week to get a refund.
However, in the best-case scenario, it only takes a few minutes to get that refund.

Be careful to keep the car clean and not spill any drinks or food.

How Does Uber Eats Work? The Ultimate Guide to Your First Order
Getting food delivered anytime, anywhere is oh-so-convenient, but it can get expensive, with delivery services charging vague fees.
Though Uber Eats has established itself as a convenient alternative to picking up takeout, the service fees may make you think twice about ordering.
There are different types of Uber Eats fees, but the most common is the service fee.
What on earth do you mean by service charge and why is it necessary?
Understanding Uber Eats’ service fee can make the extra cost a little more palatable, and that’s where we can help.

What is the Uber Eats service fee?
The Uber Eats service fee is a consumer fee that appears in the price breakdown at checkout in the app.
This new structure replaces the previous booking fee for Uber Eats orders.
Uber notes that the service fee only applies to orders delivered by Uber Eats drivers from local restaurants.
According to the company, Uber’s service fee is used for costs such as credit card fees and support.
The Uber Eats service fee is a consumer fee that appears in the price breakdown at checkout in the app.
How many different fee types does Uber Eats use?
When you place an order with Uber Eats, you may see several different types of fees.
Let’s clear up some confusion by breaking down the other types and what to expect with each.
Delivery fees cover the cost of delivering your meal and depend on several factors including the restaurant or vendor, your location and driver availability.
Delivery fees cover the cost of delivering your meal and depend on several factors including the restaurant or vendor, your location and driver availability.
A small order fee of $2 applies to purchases below a certain threshold.
The threshold is usually $10, but it can vary by location.
Shipping adjustment fees only apply if you update the order after it is placed.
For example, changing the delivery address.
In California, you can expect to pay an additional driver perk fee that funds delivery driver perks.
This fund intends to cover health care, supplemental insurance coverage, minimum income and more.
How much is an Uber Eats service charge?
Part of the confusion surrounding the service fee relates to variability.
It seems strange to pay one price for lunch on Tuesday and a different service charge for dinner on Thursday.
How does this work?
Unlike other consumer fees, the service fee depends on the subtotal of your order; it amounts to a percentage of your bill.
However, Uber points out that service fees have a minimum and maximum depending on your location.
Note that if the restaurant you are ordering from uses their own delivery drivers or couriers, you should not pay a service charge.
Make sure you check the fee schedule in “Your Cart” before confirming the order.
Where do Uber Eats service fees go?
Where your money goes isn’t asking too much, is it?
Unfortunately, some users feel that Uber is not transparent enough about how the company uses these service fees.
At one point, Uber notes that the combined fees offset delivery costs to keep couriers on the road.
Elsewhere, the company states that the service helps maintain the platform.
Uber Eats tips aside, drivers don’t seem to see the service fees or other fees.
The exception would be the California Drivers Benefit fee mentioned above.
Why does Uber Eats charge a service fee?
Uber Eats offers a convenient way to get a delicious meal at your favorite restaurant.
Of course, the company cannot offer the service for free.
Enter the fee structure intended to offset the cost of doing business.
Why are there service fees?
No business can survive without revenue, so Uber Eats waived fees for providing delivery services.
Despite being a third-party provider, Uber Eats offers a valuable service for many because it eliminates the need to go to restaurants yourself.
Which Uber Eats fees cover
Consider the potential costs associated with grocery pickup, handling, and delivery.
Aside from the drivers, there is maintenance on the platform, support staff, and standard business requirements.
Don’t forget about the marketing, like the Uber promotions that offer $0 delivery.
Although Uber Eats offers a service that helps many people like you, it’s still a business that needs to make money.
Surprisingly, the Uber Eats service actually costs Uber millions.
Why would Uber accept such a loss?
Meal delivery might not be a moneymaker, but it’s building the brand name and attracting millions of new customers, making Uber an international force.
What would happen if Uber Eats didn’t charge?
It is unlikely that Uber could maintain Uber Eats’ services without charging.
Given that they waived fees long after other courier and grocery delivery services, it’s a testament to the underlying need for additional revenue to offset operating costs.
How to avoid Uber Eats service fees
While inconvenient for consumers, service fees appear to be permanent.
That doesn’t mean you can’t save money on Uber Eats.
Skip the small order fee by adding an extra item or two to your order.
For example, a side dish, dip, or drink could increase your subtotal and eliminate that additional charge.
You can also invest in the subscription service Uber Eats Pass.
If you use Uber Eats often enough, $9.99 per month can be worth getting unlimited free shipping plus a 5% discount.
The service fee is not waived, but you do not pay a delivery fee and you can combine the Eats Pass with other promotions.
Service fee changes over time
We’ve already mentioned that Uber Eats hasn’t always had a complicated charging system, but that’s not the whole story.
In truth, Uber Eats’ fee structure remains a fluid system with a history of frequent changes and fluctuations.
The evolution of Uber Eats fees
Uber initially launched meal delivery services in Los Angeles under the UberFresh name, with limited restaurant options and lunch service only.
This approach resulted in cheap prices and delivery fees, making it one of the cheapest delivery apps out there.
But… the system didn’t work.
The Uber Eats team evolved over the next few years, trying a flat-rate approach to delivery transactions.
Of course, the fee only covered a set delivery radius to limit complaints about late delivery.
When Uber Eats first enters a new market, users may see temporary local fees start low to attract new customers.
You may even see multiple promotions in the beginning that eventually dry up.
The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic
The COVID-19 pandemic has crippled the restaurant industry as it has effectively ended indoor dining.
Many restaurants were struggling to keep their heads above water, and the rest relied on takeout to survive and delivery services like Uber Eats.
The demand for food delivery services skyrocketed, allowing food delivery services to charge at their discretion.
While some arguments could be made that drivers were at greater risk than ever before, they don’t seem to have seen the benefits of the new fee structures.
Like many grocery delivery apps, Uber Eats takes a cut from restaurants as a commission.
Not only has Uber Eats billed customers for service and delivery fees, but the service has made cuts from restaurants that have been struggling to weather soaring food prices and stay afloat.
With no other options, customers and restaurants essentially had no choice but to comply with the high service fees.
The pushback against commission and customer fees
That’s not to say these third-party delivery services haven’t received pushback.
California’s Proposition 22 was a major win for drivers across the state, leading to the California Driver Benefit fee.
Recently, a handful of New York guests filed a lawsuit against Grubhub and DoorDash over high commission fees.
Customers, restaurants and local governments want to introduce price regulations, customer fee caps and restaurant fee caps.
frequently asked Questions
Still have burning questions about Uber Eats service fees?
We thought you could, so we’ve added a few of the ones we hear the most.
Why is the Uber Eats service fee so high?
Uber Eats’ fees may not be the highest compared to the costs of DoorDash, Postmates, and GrubHub.
Fees vary depending on where you live, where you order, and how much you buy.
While you can save yourself a $3.99 delivery fee and a $2.39 service charge, you save yourself a trip to the restaurant.
It’s also a fraction of the hefty commissions the restaurant pays for access to a reliable supply market.
Is an Uber Eats service charge a tip?
no Uber Eats service and delivery fees do not include tips.
Tipping is optional, but it’s the only part of the charges that your delivery driver sees.
Final Thoughts on Uber Eats Service Fee
The Uber Eats fees you pay for this high-quality service might seem like an extravagance to many.
However, you have the choice of having your lunch conveniently delivered to the office or getting in the car and picking it up.
If you’re in a hurry, the small additional fee may be worth the time savings.
On the other hand, a walk down the street to the subway costs nothing and is a breath of fresh air.

This guide describes how Lyft fees and payments work, so you know what to expect every time you ride. Learn more about fares, payment authorizations, and how to combine multiple trips into one invoice. We also show you how to solve tricky situations such as multiple loads, overloads and unrecognized loads.
skip to :
This is how the fare calculation works
Understanding Lyft ride pricing can be easy — just remember, it has three parts:
Lyft plan
Local tolls or fees
Tips for your driver
The Lyft fare is based on the distance and type of ride, as well as ride availability and demand. If there are many passengers in your area requesting a ride at the same time, fares are likely higher than normal. Expect higher demand during commute times, major city events, and inclement weather.
fare estimates
Lyft shows you fare estimates before you request a ride, so you know what to expect. To calculate the cost of your next Lyft ride, enter your pickup and drop-off location into the app before requesting a ride.
Fare estimates do not reflect discounts, traffic delays, or factors such as adding a stop or changing your destination. Any changes to your trip will result in your final fare differing from your fare estimate.
Payment Card Authorizations
To ride with Lyft, you must have a valid payment method set up. Lyft uses payment authorizations to confirm that your payment method is entered correctly and has sufficient funds for your ride. Authorizations show up in your bank account as “pending” transactions, but they are not debits.
You may see a pending transaction for your payment method if you:
Create a Lyft account
Request a ride
Update your payment method
Change your goal
Add a stop to your route
Rent a bike or scooter from Lyft
Once your payment method has been successfully charged, Lyft will release the authorization immediately. However, it may take 5-7 business days for your bank to release authorizations on your account. If the authorization results in an overdraft on your account, you’ll need to contact your bank or financial institution to resolve the issue.
How payments work
To make it easy for you to keep track of your charges, you’ll only be billed once for all trips you take in a single day. You will always receive a travel receipt after every journey. Whenever you make more than one trip in a day, you’ll receive a daily receipt with a summary of the trip and the total amount of your most recent charge.
In the sample image below, let’s say you took two trips on March 19:
Your first ride receipt shows a fare of $9.75
A fare of $15.25 will appear on your receipt for the second trip
Your daily receipt shows a total end charge of $25
If you don’t see a charge amount in your bank account, check your daily receipt email to see if multiple trips have been combined into one charge. This feature is not available for business accounts or trips paid for with PayPal, Venmo, or online banking.
If you prefer multiple charges per day, update your payment settings in the app:
From the Lyft app menu, tap the Payment tab. Tap on “Payment Frequency”.
How to solve charging problems
If you see multiple stresses, overloads, or unrecognized stresses, follow the instructions below to resolve the issue.

Unrecognized Stresses: Check out the following common scenarios to see if they apply to you.
Charging a cancellation or no-show fee: Any time you cancel a ride outside of the 5-minute time slot or fail to show up at the pickup location, a fee will apply. You will be charged a fee each time you cancel a ride outside of the 5 minute window or fail to show up at the pickup location.
Shared Payment Method: Your payment method is being used to pay for Lyft rides on a family account or has been added to a friend’s Lyft account. Consultation with friends or family is the only way to solve the problem.
Still uncertain? Dispute the charge directly in your app and it will be verified automatically:

Can Uber be used as proof of income?
Many Uber drivers might wonder, “How do I show proof of income with Uber?” or, “Can Uber be used as proof of income?” Yes, there is proof of income for Uber drivers. Uber drivers can track their income on Uber with pay statements. Drivers can view and download their pay statements by period.

How do gig workers display income statements?
Currently, many gig workers use payslips and screenshots from their gig apps as their primary proof of income. Some gig apps even claim that they can’t provide proof of income or proof of employment since gig workers are considered independent contractors and not employees. This leads to a complicated process that makes it difficult for gig workers to verify their income.
The struggle with proof of gig income
Unfortunately, many gig workers struggle when providing freelance proof of income. This is because they haven’t found a sensible way to keep track of all their gig earnings.
Tracking and managing Gig earnings becomes especially difficult when different Gig platforms offer different forms of payment history. Many gig workers have relied on manual methods like taking screenshots of their gig accounts or writing down their earnings. Although these manual practices are becoming common for personal income tracking, most income verifiers still don’t generally accept them.
Proof of income through tax returns
One method that freelancers and gig workers can use to prove their income is through federal tax returns. A federal tax return is a legal document that shows your income and expenses for a specific year. It is a document that acts as solid evidence of your income for the year.
It should be noted that gig workers are not always required to declare their income below a certain amount. Because of this, your tax returns may underestimate your total income for that year. If your tax return underestimates your income, it is imperative that you provide additional documents, such as a bank statement, to supplement the tax return and prove undeclared income.
Another tax form that can be used as proof of income for gig workers is a 1099 tax form. There are three types of 1099 forms that Gig employees should understand: Form 1099-K, Form 1099 NEC, and Form 1099-MISC.
Why gig workers need PDF statements
Another method of income verification is bank statements. A bank statement shows all financial transactions found in a bank account for a specific period of time.
Bank statements are important records for tracking income and other financial transactions. Valid proof of income is a current account statement that shows the account ownership and current bank details. These statements will help you get a loan, rent an apartment, apply for a credit card, lease a car, and more.
About Proof of Income
Many Uber drivers may be wondering, “How do I show proof of income on Uber?” or “Can Uber be used as proof of income?” Yes, Uber drivers have proof of income. Uber drivers can track their earnings on Uber with payslips. Drivers can view and download their payslips by period. Payslips are recorded weekly and only for weeks in which a payment was received.
How to get proof of income from Uber
If you are a driver looking for an official proof of income from Uber, you will need to navigate to Uber’s Payment tab. Under the Uber payment tab, you can find the details of your weekly payment period. You’ll see your salary for the last week, but if you want to see a previous statement, you can select Pay Period above the date field and specify a new date range. This can be taken as proof of income for Uber drivers.
Youtuber DoorDash Delivery shared pictures of his Uber proof of income. After working 22 hours in a given week, he’d been paid $612.15 and said his earnings were “pretty straightforward.”
You can see Total Earnings, Net Earnings, Tip Earnings, and Ad Earnings on the Earnings Breakdown page. You can also see how many hours you’ve been online, how many trips you’ve taken, and which days you’ve earned the most.
DoorDash Proof of Income
Those who drive for DoorDash may be wondering how to use DoorDash to provide proof of income. The answer to that question is Dasher’s Income Verification. Dasher’s income verification is only used when another company requests your income verification. Through Dasher Income Verification, you must direct the third party requiring income verification to submit a request through TrueWork. You will then receive an email with the steps to follow to share your payslip with TrueWork and they will complete the request.
If you wish to verify your DoorDash proof of income for your records, you will need to contact DoorDash Support.
Lyft Proof of Income
When you search for income verification on the Lyft website, the first sentence you come across is “Lyft cannot verify income”. The website states that Lyft cannot provide payslips, income verification, or employment verification. So the answer to “How to find a Lyft proof of employment” is that you can’t. At least not really.
Instead, Lyft can provide drivers with proof of annual income. With Lyft, you can get an annual summary of your earnings from the Tax Information tab on your Lyft dashboard. From there you can click Documents and then click Download. Alternatively, you can access your weekly summaries by opening Ride History in your dashboard menu and downloading the selected week.
Grub lift proof of income
Similar to the above platforms, grubhub drivers are considered independent contractors. This means drivers are not employed by Grubhub and cannot obtain proof of employment. That being said, Grubhub still offers proof of income to drivers. Some examples of types of proof of income provided by Grubhub are:
A salary summary without the driver’s name. Salary overviews can be found either in your email or in the Grubhub driver app
A delivery partner agreement form
A copy of the previous year’s 1099 form, which can be obtained by emailing [email protected].
How to Access PDF Statements Easily – The Good News
It’s complicated enough navigating your income for just one of these apps, but what happens when you drive or deliver for multiple gig companies and need to provide proof of freelance income? Well we have good news.
All Moves members are offered access to PDF statements. Yes, Moves makes life easier for gigworkers. This process is simple and centralizes all your Gig earnings into one statement. Moves will never ask why you need an explanation; we just give it to you As simple as that.

Authorisation holds – what they are and why we use them
After you embark on your first trip, you may see amounts listed as “pending” on your bank statement or transaction history. These are authorization amounts – amounts of money that we use to verify your payment method. They’ll be canceled immediately by Uber, but it may take a few days for your bank to clear them.
when will you see her
We issue an authorization hold to all new users to verify that they are using a valid payment method. After you’ve taken your first ride, you may occasionally see authorization suspensions in your account, such as when you add a new payment method.
How do you look?
The label on your bank statement may vary, but will usually show as “pending” for a few days, depending on your bank. Usually the amounts are $1, $2, $5 or up to the actual fare.
Authorization suspensions are temporary
If you see a “pending” balance on your account and wonder what that is, don’t worry – these temporary bans are canceled by Uber immediately. These are used to verify your account and help protect against fraud. Although you will not actually be billed, authorization holds may show as “pending” for a few days until cleared by your bank.
Frequently asked questions about holding authorization
I see a pending charge on my account. When does it become invalid? We deauthorize authorizations immediately, but they may appear as “pending” until cleared by your bank. This can take several days and during this time you will not have access to these funds, so we recommend contacting your bank with any questions.
The pending charge is still showing on my statement, what can I do? We recommend that you contact your bank directly if you are waiting for a pre-authorization to be removed or if you need clarification on your bank’s pre-authorization policy.
Why did I receive a notification from my bank? Some banks may send an SMS or other notification that an authorization lock has been applied to your account. This is perfectly normal and can happen either when requesting a ride or afterwards.

Uber Eats is a meal delivery service launched by ridesharing giant Uber following the success of its flagship app Uber, which allows people to get private rides at the touch of a button.
The meal delivery service builds on existing Uber technologies to create a meal delivery experience with a similar interface.
While it wasn’t the first provider to enter the on-demand mobile meal delivery market, this meal delivery service has certainly seen widespread adoption since its launch in 2014.
Uber Eats is a quick and easy way to order food straight to your door.
You start by creating an account if you don’t already have one.
Once you’re logged in, you can see which local restaurants have partnered with Uber Eats and browse menus—all in one app.
Once you’ve found what you’re looking for, place your order and pay through the app.
Just like with Uber or Lyft, all payments are processed through the app; No cash exchange is required.
Your delivery driver will then collect the food from the restaurant and deliver it to you.

How to sign up for and use Uber Eats
Now that you know the basics of Uber Eats, let’s go through all the steps to place an order.
To order food from a local restaurant, all you need is the Uber Eats app and a smartphone, tablet, or computer:
Download the Uber Eats app. You can find the app for Android or Apple phones on the App Store or Google Play. You can also find links to download the app on uber.com by clicking on the food tab, or on ubereats.com. You can’t use the regular Uber app to order food. Enter your location. Uber Eats services vary from location to location. Enter your shipping address — it could be your home, a friend’s house, or your vacation rental — to see what restaurants are available near you. Add payment method. Add a credit or debit card to use to pay for your food orders. You can also fund your account with Uber Cash, use a gift card, and link your PayPal in the US. Search for specific restaurants or by type of cuisine. Once you’ve entered your location, you can scroll through the restaurant options. You can use the search feature to find a specific restaurant you love or to find a type of food like Chinese, vegan or a steakhouse. You can also search by price to find cheap restaurants or fine dining. Browse the menu and make a selection. When you find a restaurant you like, click on the items to add them to your shopping cart. Sometimes you’ll see options to customize your food or add ingredients. Select these options before clicking Add to Order. Place your order. After you have selected all the items you want, click on your shopping cart and select “Checkout”. The app will take you to a payment screen where you can see the order fee, service fee and delivery fee, as well as the final payment amount. If everything looks good, place your order. Track your food in real time. After you place your order, you will receive a notification when the restaurant starts preparing your meal. You can also track the delivery driver as he collects your order and delivers it to your location. The app shows estimated arrival times so you know when to expect your food. Receive and accept the order. You will receive another notification when the driver pulls up at your location. You can meet the driver outside, wait for them to knock and take it from them, or just pick up the bag of food at your doorstep. Leave a tip and dig in! You can tip your driver if you think he did a good job. We recommend leaving a tip as this will help drivers and deliverers cover expenses. It’s also a great way to say thank you for their time. Now all you have to do is stock up on your yummy treats!
Ordering food with Uber Eats is quick and easy.
With these simple steps, you can choose online breakfast delivery or order a three-course meal for dinner with friends and family.
