How to convert grams to tablespoons

How to convert cups to grams

Let’s look at how to convert a cup measurement into grams to get a Bake Off-worthy cake.

In order to calculate the grams from a recipe in cups, it is crucial to consider the ingredient. A cup of ball bearings weighs a lot more than a cup of springs (although both make for delicious pancake toppings, my toothless cousin tells me). Therefore, there is no single gram equivalent for a cup; Salt can weigh up to 300g, while fresh breadcrumbs would only weigh 60g. It all comes down to the density of the ingredient.

Flour is fine-grained and can be both dense when packed in the paper bag it was packed in and airy when you sift it. Yes! In fact, it couldn’t be more different. For example, the structural composition of granulated sugar does not change, so to speak.
