Our distribution center is located in the Netherlands. As the Brexit interim agreement between the UK and the EU ends on December 31, 2020, there may be extended terms between the EU and the UK from January 1, 2021. We work extensively with UPS to minimize delays and you can track your delivery using the tracking link in your shipping confirmation email.

If you send an item back to us, it will still be processed at our UK-based returns center within the advertised timeframe.

In search of discounts

“We don’t save 50%, 60%, or 70% when shopping for Lululemon sales,” says Demer. “Really, 20% is pretty exciting, 30% is really exciting, and if you’re expecting 40% off, you better be at a Lululemon store.”

If you’re looking for savings, it’s best to prioritize based on what you can reasonably expect. For example, the hardest thing to save on at Lululemon is black tights. It’s generally easier to save on tops, accessories, or anything that’s patterned.

“If you’re looking for black tights, you might not want to wait forever for a sale,” says Demer. “But if you see a floral print you love, chances are that item will go on sale while stocks last.”

The Secret of “Fee Shipping”

The Lululemon Shopping Sale has an open secret you can take advantage of: the Charge Send.

Charge shipping is essentially placing an order over the phone, and it’s handy if you find an item for sale in the store that you want but isn’t in your size. You can use the Lululemon app to check availability anywhere else in the country, then call that store and buy it over the phone.

Every Lululemon location ships products to you for free, and you even get the free bag that only comes with in-store purchases, which you don’t get when you shop online.

When to look for savings online

When you’re looking for the best Lululemon deals online, planning your week is key. The retailer brings new goods online around 6:15 p.m. EST every Tuesday. And when it comes to new sale items, discounts are announced every Thursday morning, typically between 10:00 am EST and 11:00 am EST.

By far the holy grail of Lululemon sales is the warehouse sale, which typically takes place once a year in the spring in a rotating US city. The event attracts tens of thousands of shoppers in pursuit of some of the retailer’s biggest discounts.

“Women actually plan trips around this sale, that’s how big the business is,” says Demer. “It’s worth the hype. The savings are over 50%.”

In addition to reduced prices, shoppers can expect further savings as storekeepers introduce increased savings at random to keep the crowds moving during the sale.

“They’re actually going to randomly call, you know, an extra 10% discount for anyone who checks out in the next 15 minutes,” says Demer.

If you can’t make it to the sale yourself, you can still reap the benefits by checking eBay right after the sale. Despite the fact that Lululemon limits clearance sale buyers to 25 items to discourage resellers, there’s still a noticeable surge of new Lululemon gear – and great prices – on the auction site this time.

The Employee Discount Hack

Despite all of these great ways to save on Lululemon merchandise, the absolute biggest discount can’t be beat – the employee discount. Lululemon employees enjoy a 60% discount, but to take advantage of this, you would need to find a job there. However, you must work 25+ hours per week to qualify, so this option is really only for those who are genuinely committed to maximizing their Lululemon savings.

Or, Demer says, “You know, just befriend someone who works there.”

Why are my Lululemon leggings Pilling?

Pilling can occur when the fabric rubs against itself or on skin. Pilling will occur mostly on the surface of the fabric and gusset of pants made with Luon. You can make an effort to wear these leggings to low to medium-impact sports to prevent pilling. Extended use and washing will cause pilling.

One of the main reasons I don’t “buy all Lululemon” is because I’ve had a consistent experience with pills.

No matter what I do, my lululemon Align leggings pill in between and sometimes on the front and back of my thighs. It’s unsightly, itchy, and quite annoying considering I paid over $100 for it.

My thighs rub against each other 24/7. This promotion is endearingly nicknamed “Chub Rub”. It doesn’t matter if you’re thin or fat, chub rub can happen to anyone.

This could be because of your size or because your bones are aligned in an odd way.

Even when I was 15 pounds lighter, I still had chub rubs. Chub friction is the main cause of pilling.

Other causes include regular wear and tear, overuse, and brushing against abrasive surfaces such as stone, cement, velcro, or brick.

I was fortunate enough to be able to test ALL the Lululemon fabrics listed below. I have listed a description of the fabrics along with how to prevent and remove pilling if it occurs. Read the descriptions to find the perfect fabric for your lifestyle.

I order my Nulu in my true size. does it have pill Nulux does NOT pill. I’ve worn my Nulux more than 10 times and I haven’t had any pilling experience yet. #6 Silverescent®

Description Silverescent® is a soft, mesh-quality knit fabric that doesn’t stink thanks to X-STATIC technology. Fabric Feel Comes in 2-way and 4-way stretch. Feels light yet sturdy and thin. Swift reminds me of raincoat fabrics without the waterproof properties. does it have pill Silverescent® fabric pills where it rubs against fabric or skin. Herringbone: Pills like crazy! I’ve had my fishbones for 3 years and they pill as soon as I start walking around in them. The pilling can be easily removed with an electric razor and the leggings are said to be made of Luon. They’re also thick enough that shaving and pilling won’t thin the fabric. Pique: This fabric resembles the herringbone pattern but is slightly thinner. The fabric has a more compressive fit than herringbone and doesn’t pill as much. Pilling can also be removed with an electric razor.

How to remove pilling from leggings

#1 With an electric fabric razor

This is our favorite way to remove pilling from my gym wear. We use a corded electric shaver so we don’t have to buy batteries.

If you want it completely wireless, we recommend the rechargeable cloth shaver from Magictec. It’s compact, USB rechargeable, and highly rated on Amazon.

When using an electric fabric razor, keep the pressure of the razor light against the fabric to avoid creating a hole in the fabric.

It should take less than a minute for your leggings to feel like new again (see image below).

#2 With a disposable razor

I haven’t tried this method but it seems to work. Keep a disposable razor handy to remove pilling if it occurs.

I would keep it in one area with all my sewing and knitting tools. Also, consider using it on other garments that pill, like sweaters and shirts.

Of course, their attention to quality at the highest level, delicious details and brand awareness comes at a high price. Some of us hesitate before spending $50 on a sports bra or $100 on a pair of leggings. Will they fit right? Can I return them? How long do Lululemon leggings last? What if they don’t live up to all the hype?

If you’re confused about Lululemon sizing, returns, warranties, exchanges, alterations, and customer service, I’m here for you. Lululemon is a brand unlike any other, and their unique way of doing things can be a little intimidating for the uninitiated.

After years of indulging in high-end gym apparel, I’ve learned all the ins and outs of getting what I pay for with Lululemon. And to be honest, I was quite impressed. Whether it’s your guilty pleasure or a regular investment, Lulu yoga gear should work both on and off the mat. Here’s everything you need to know about Lululemon clothing:

Lululemon sizing

A lot of people get confused by Lululemon sizing because it’s based on the old-school numeric sizing spectrum (size 2-12) rather than XS to XL. Some bottoms also include size 0 and 14-20. To make things a bit more confusing, leggings are listed in sizes 0-20, while tops can be listed by numeric size (0-20) or alpha size (XS-XL).

Each product is a little different due to proprietary fabrics and unique silhouettes. That being said, Lulu’s sizing charts tend to be fairly accurate, and most customers report a near-perfect fit when taking their measurements correctly.

There are separate size charts for bras, tops, shorts, socks, pants, coats, lingerie, skirts and swimwear so you can really get your size right. Here are the quick links:

How to recognize the size of Lululemon

The easiest way to determine your Lululemon size is to buy a basic sewing tape and take your measurements.

Sports bra size

Sports bras also have a numerical size (2-14), but the size chart will help you figure them out based on clothing size (XXS-XXL) and band size (28-42). They even have a bra quiz to help you find the best size for you.

Measure your band size by wrapping the measuring tape around the smallest part below your breasts.

Lululemon designs bras with cup size in mind, but this is listed with each model rather than requiring a measurement.

For example, the Energy Bra is designed for medium support of B-D cups, while the AirSupport Bra offers high support of C-DDD cups. If you search for e-cups, you’ll see a DDD label for the same fit but with a different name.

Lululemon tops size

Tops are primarily based on bust or bust measurement. Wrap the tape measure around the fullest part of your bust to get this measurement. Then use your standard top size as a guide. When in doubt, choose a larger size so you don’t get squeezed out of your range of motion.

Pants and leggings sizes

The size of the bottoms is based on three measurements:

hips

length (inseam)

Measure your waist by placing the flexible tape measure around the narrowest part of your stomach. Do this after exhaling and maybe even after a meal to make sure you don’t accidentally measure too restrictively.

To measure your hips, stand with your feet together and guide the tape measure down to the top of your hip bones. Wrap tightly around the widest point of your hips.

The inseam is the distance from the crotch to the top of the hem. Each product has a different length and some have different options. Luckily, Lululemon offers a free hemming service for leggings and pants, as well as many other products. So you don’t have to worry too much about this one.

Keep in mind that Lulu sizes do not necessarily correlate to your dress size or the standard jean size of other clothing items.

How does Lululemon fit?

When it comes to fit, each product is slightly different. Most Lulu customers report that Lululemon pants fit true to size. The Lululemon reviews section of each product is usually the easiest way to tell, as reviewers are asked for their “usual size” and “ordered size.”

Do Lululemon leggings run large or small?

As a rule of thumb, Lulu tights, leggings, and tops run true to size, but joggers and sweatshirts can run larger or smaller depending on how roomy or “relaxed” you prefer the fit to be.

For example, someone who wears a size 4 in jeans might need a size 6 in certain leggings like the Wunder Under High Rise Tight, but they might prefer a 4 in the Relaxed High Rise Jogger because they tend to run in the larger size . Likewise, many women in sizes 10-12 prefer a 12 for Wunder Under Tights and a 10 for Joggers.

How do I know if my Lululemon leggings are too small?

Luxtreme and Luon fabrics are exceptionally stretchy, but once put on should be matte and knee-high. If you can partially see through the fabric, it is best to enlarge it so it doesn’t restrict your movement or reveal your feminine parts.

You can stretch the Luon fabric widthways with your hands to see if light shows through, showing you what the sheen of a too-small fit can look like. Anything shiny or see-through is a sure sign that your leggings are too small.

Size recommendations and give away Lululemon

If you don’t have a tape measure or are buying as a gift, you can also deviate from the model size recommendations listed under each product.

For example, these full length, mid rise dance studio pants were photographed on a model named Hayley who is 5ft 7″ and wears a size 4. This method isn’t foolproof, but it can make it easier to gauge where you or the person you’re buying fits the size spectrum.

As you will see below, the return policy is quite generous and if you buy the wrong size as a gift, you don’t have to worry. When in doubt, buy a Lululemon gift card. Gift cards never expire, have no transaction fees, and they’ll love it just as much.

Lululemon Return Policy

If you ordered the wrong size or fit, or just don’t love your new gear, don’t sweat it. The great thing about Lulu’s return policy is that all newly purchased goods can be returned in-store or by mail for free.

How to make a Lululemon return

Lululemon returns are really straightforward. Online you can simply use the self-service return option. For in-store returns, bring your receipt and new gear. In both cases, your equipment must be unwashed, unworn and still have the tags attached, otherwise it will not be accepted. In the case of bathing suits and underwear, the sanitary pad must still be intact.

A Lululemon online return typically takes 3-5 business days, while a personal return is instant. Don’t worry, you can fully return items purchased online by taking them to a local store as well.

The return window is exactly 30 days after purchase. Lulu’s return policy is generous during the holiday season: anything purchased between October 21st and December 24th can be returned or exchanged through January 23rd.

However, anything purchased from We Made Too Much sales is a final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged. Most Lululemon outlet stores have the same policy.

If you have ordered an “As New” product, you can return it via the “As New” returns portal. The process is really simple: just enter your order number and last name to find eligible returns. Unfortunately, in this case you will have to pay for the return shipping.

Lululemon Exchange Policy

If you accidentally got the wrong size or color, Lulu gear can only be exchanged in person at a Lululemon store. If you want to exchange an item you bought online, you can also do this in store or simply return it and order a new one.

Exchanges work very much like returns: you have 30 days from the date of purchase, items must be unworn and unwashed, tags must be attached, and you need your proof of purchase.

We Made Too Much items are still on sale and cannot be exchanged, so make sure you get the right size or you’ll end up gifting them or reselling them on Poshmark.

There are many rumors about the exact times and days that Lululemon will replenish its gear options. Online, this is typically around 6:00 p.m. Eastern Time on a Tuesday afternoon or evening. That’s when Lulu fanatics have the best chance to jump on new products and sold-out items.

The chat rep I spoke to said that all “discounted items” are considered final sale and cannot be returned.

So if you buy something from Lululemon that isn’t being sold at full price, apparently you CANNOT return it.

That seems crazy! Is that right? Does anyone know the real truth?

Before you ask…they will accept a return of swimwear as long as the sanitary pad is still in place.

What is a Fast Track return?

A Fast Track return occurs when you receive credit within 2 hours of dropping off your return at a FedEx or USPS location.
