Using gift tags is such an easy and great way to decorate your gifts. Plus, you can send a short heartfelt message on your gift tag instead of using a bulky greeting card. The easiest way to attach a gift tag to a gift box is to hang it from a string. However, we want to show you more creative and fun ways to do it. 1. Nutella mini jars and ice cream sticks

Mini Nutella jars or mini jam jars make great party favors for birthdays and weddings. Nutella is such a popular brand and a head turner in its own right. When you look at a Nutella jar you can literally taste chocolate in your mouth. So make sure the gift decorations don’t get in the way of brand newness. The gift tag is placed on a popsicle stick and glued to the back of the glass. This way, the moods on the gift tag and the product brand complement each other and don’t compete with each other. Add more style by decorating with ribbons and bows to complete the look.

2. Stick the gift on the gift tag

This idea is an interesting take on role reversal. Today, role reversal in a marriage is completely normal. But what if a gift is attached to a gift tag and not as usual? Now that’s innovative. Another way to attach hang tags to clothing items is with tag guns. A tag gun uses a plastic fastener (called a tag barb) to attach the tag directly to the garment. It’s pretty quick and easy, especially if you follow these steps to the tee:

Load plastic fasteners into the labeling gun according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Slide the hang tag over the pin. Make sure the front of the hang tag faces the tag gun, especially if it’s the double-sided type. Decide which part of the garment you want to attach the hang tag to. Ideally, hang it through a seam or the clothing tag so you don’t leave a hole in the fabric of the garment. Insert the needle of the tag gun into the fabric and hold the garment in place. Activate the shutter by pressing the instrument’s trigger.

After that, the end of the clasp comes through the pin and holds the hang tag in place. Now the label would finally be attached!

Wrapping paper is one of the most common items available in all households. If the wrapping paper you have is not enough to wrap a present, or if it has torn edges or a hole somewhere; You can always make a bag out of it and use it to pack gifts for any occasion, be it Birthday, Valentine’s Day, Christmas, Anniversary etc.

If you have the 2 main materials (wrapping paper and satin ribbon) at home, the cost would be zero. However, wrapping paper and satin ribbon do not cost much; A bundle of 6 yards of satin ribbon would cost less than $2, and 120 square feet of wrapping paper would cost less than $10. You can make up to 20 small gift bags with these materials, which means 1 gift bag doesn’t even cost a dollar.

How to make a gift wrap bag

Instructions for making a gift bag from wrapping paper

Step 1: Prepare paper and first fold

Depending on the size of the bag you want to make, you may need to leave a few extra inches on either side of the paper. We will use a 9″ x 6″ sheet of paper. Place the paper on a flat surface. Leave 1 cm on the longer side (9 inches), then fold the remaining length in half.

Step 2: Glue the side

Apply glue along the 1cm extra part, then fold inward to attach with the other open side of the half-folded paper. The side of our bag is now secured.

Step 3: Fold the bottom side up

Fold up 2 inches of the paper from one of the open ends, this will be the bottom of the gift wrap bag.

Step 4: Open the bottom and form corners

Open the 2 sides (corners) of the bottom part. This should form triangles on both sides (left and right) of the bottom piece and 2 flaps (top and bottom).

Step 5: Fold down the top flap

Fold the top flap in half and align its open end with the center crease on the bottom of the bag pattern.

Step 6: Secure the Bottom

Similarly, fold the bottom flap in half and slightly overlap it with the open end of the top flap. Apply glue to the tabs and sides to secure the bottom of the gift wrap bag.

Step 7: Fold the sides

Now notice the 2 square shapes on either side of the bottom part of the gift wrap bag; Using the bottom and top corners of the squares as a guide, fold the two sides of the current paper along the lines. Make neat folds for neat creases.

Step 8: Open the gussets

Unfold the last 2 folds. Blow the paper bag through its open end. This unfolds the side and bottom creases we made in the previous steps.

Step 9: Fold the middle crease inwards

Now fold the outer folds neatly and fold the middle fold (from both sides) inwards. Do the same for the other side of the bag.

Step 10: Prepare the handles

Cut out 4 small pieces of paper and 2 small pieces of satin ribbon (long enough to make the handles of the gift wrap bag).

Step 11: Attach the handles

Apply glue to the two open ends of a satin ribbon and attach the glued ends of the ribbon to the open end of the pocket, right in the middle and inside the pocket. Attach the small square pieces to each open end of the attached ribbon.

Step 12: Attach both handles

Similarly, attach the other satin ribbon handle. For variation, you can use differently colored and printed wrapping paper and satin ribbons.
