Is burble bad for Turbo?

Either way you’re causing excess stress on these parts but if you’re going off of the MPPSK it shouldn’t be that big of an issue in the short run. Burbles basically is dumping extra fuel into the turbo and cats, stock maps do this on cars like the M40i models and MPPSK.

Is burble bad for engine?

Igniting the dump of gas to make that “burble” will increase exhaust gas temperature, which is the reason why it’s bad for o2 and the cats. Having said that if you go castles and don’t have emission to worry about then it’s fine.

Are burble tunes harmful?

A: Anything can hurt your engine if used excessively, too much usage / abuse of Burble Tune or Pop and Bang can cause damage to CAT (Catalistyc Converter) or to exhaust manifold or Turbo (Depends on Application), if used Burble mod gentle there is nothing to worry about (as long as it is done professionals like us) if …

What is a burble tune WRX?

The burble effect is simply some pops or exhaust crackle between shifts or when coasting in gear above 3200 rpms. The effect is not present under this rpm so that you can drive the car without the feature constantly active.

Are pop tunes bad for your car?

IS POPS AND BANGS TUNE SAFE? If done properly, kept under control, well tested and not taken too far, pops and bangs are completely safe. In fact, many manufacturers offer pop and bang sounds as a stock feature for their cars and they come with regular warranty and safety claims.

Bang & Bang

LET THE BANG AND BANG MAKE YOUR EXHAUST SOUND BETTER

Want a healthy adrenaline rush and a few extra heads turning as you drive by? Then Pops and Bangs Tuning is the best solution for you. Find out everything you want to know about this incredible tuning, from how it’s done and why to all the benefits and potential risks. Combine safety with style to enhance your driving experience.

As? Thanks to the popping and gurgling sounds the exhaust makes when you shift gears or release the accelerator pedal after hard acceleration. You may have heard of the effects of Pop & Bang tuning on some of the world’s most respected supercars – now it’s your turn!

Until recently, this feature was reserved for high-end performance cars. However, our engineers have developed tuning files that bring pop and bang tuning to the vast majority of cars, including many diesels. We pride ourselves on safety and quality, and while you can enjoy the crackle of the exhaust, we’re sure to let you enjoy it too.

NOTE: Pop & Bang is the most common term for this amazing feature, but you may have heard of it by one of these terms: lag map, crackle map, anti-lag system, popcorn, exhaust crackle, pop on boost, exhaust overflow, and in some countries, boost bubbling or fuel cut-off.

WHAT IS POP & BANG?

When you accelerate, your exhaust makes that wonderful roaring noise we’re all used to. However, if you slow down, the noise goes away with speed. Pops and bangs make decelerating sound even better than accelerating.

When you take your foot off the gas, your exhaust begins to pop, crackle and gurgle, adding loads of fun and character to sections of driving that used to be listless.

Similarly, if you have a pops and bangs tuning file installed, you will no longer experience a drop in tone when shifting up gears. You can mark each shift with a loud pop & bang.

And of course, what would tuning be without a performance benefit. In addition to the sonic benefit, pops and bangs also reduce or completely eliminate post-deceleration turbo lag.

In addition to these amazing new features, pops and bangs can cause your engine and exhaust some serious problems that you should know about, so make sure you work with tuners who put both safety and performance first. However, you shouldn’t worry as we have listed the top possible problems below and are here to make sure you can avoid them at any time!

BANG AND BANG – HOW DO YOU BRING YOUR CAR FLAMES OUT?

Two things are necessary to create pops and bangs. First we need to change the software in your ECU so that it doesn’t shut off the fuel immediately after you take your foot off the accelerator. That means some fuel is injected even if you’re not depressing the pedal.

Second, we retard the ignition timing during the retard. The change causes the flame front to spread later than normal. This means that part of the combustion takes place when the exhaust valves open and the cylinder is no longer the only place where the flame front propagates.

Many of you know how important timing is for both security and performance. If the ignition timing was retarded all the time, it would severely affect performance. For this reason, the delay is programmed to only occur when you take your foot off the accelerator. This way the pop & bang is there, but in no way reduces the performance of your car. On turbocharged cars, it even improves them.

This improvement comes from the fact that the fuel is not shut off during deceleration and the flame front propagates later. The result is a flow through the exhaust even when decelerating. This flow keeps the turbo spinning, so the next time you press the pedal you don’t experience that all too familiar and hated turbo lag because the exhaust side of the turbo never stops spinning. This allows the supercharger side to deliver instant boost as soon as the pedal is pressed again and the throttle opens to let air into the engine.

Because this process eliminates turbo lag, improving responsiveness and performance, Pop and Bang is also known as the Anti-Lag System (ALS). And the better the response, the happier the driver is, in our experience. Agree?

DOES POP AND BANG REMAP NEED TURBO?

Turbo isn’t a requirement for pops and bangs, as the most important segments are the ignition and fuel cut delays. The only difference between turbo and non-turbo cars is that turbocharged cars benefit from the anti-lag function.

In addition, popping and popping noises can also occur when the vehicle is stationary. The mechanism is quite similar, but the sounds are of noticeably lower intensity.

IS POPS AND BANGS TUNE SAFE?

When done right, controlled, tested well, and not pushed too far, pops and bangs are perfectly safe. In fact, many manufacturers offer pops and pops as a standard feature on their cars, and they come with regular warranty and security claims. These include some of the most well-known manufacturers such as Mercedes-Benz (especially for AMG vehicles), BMW and VW, as well as other VAG models. So, yes, pops and bangs are perfectly safe when done right. Otherwise they would hardly find their place in production cars.

POP & BANG STAGE AND POSSIBILITIES

The amount of fuel and amount of spark retard gives plenty of room to customize your pop-and-bang remapping. However, there are a few things to consider if you want a safe and smooth ride. To provide our customers with peace of mind, but also to allow a degree of customization, we have created two levels of Pop & Bang tuning.

Most people aiming for individual pops and bangs require a more intense sound. Going too far with the modifications can be very damaging to the valves, exhaust and even the turbo. Many stock parts are not designed to withstand the extreme temperatures and pressures that inevitably come with the most aggressive pops and bangs.

Level 1 Pop & Bang provides moderate levels of pop and bang. When we say “moderate,” it’s important to note that they are by no means shy. They’re more than enough to put a smile on most customers’ faces, and Level 1 Pop & Bang comes with other benefits as well. For example, you don’t need aftermarket parts or other hardware modifications on most Tier 1 vehicles. The pops and bangs are designed to deliver the amazing sound but also ensure the safety of all parts including the most vulnerable ones like the catalytic converter.

However, some people want the extreme and for them we offer Stage 2 Pop & Bang. Tier 2 actually includes a number of different upgrades that help us customize your tuning to your liking. The initial requirements for Stage 2 include an aftermarket or sport exhaust and the exclusion of the stock catalytic converter. These bearing parts are not powerful enough to deal with the violent pops and bangs, so they must be removed.

We mentioned the two core changes, other changes depend on customer’s requests. We have a dedicated team of experts who can carry out all the necessary calculations and tests and offer the best advice for each individual case. Due to the different requirements of our customers, however, the roughest conversions are carried out on our own responsibility.

CAN EXHAUST FLAME DAMAGE YOUR CAR?

There are two ways that pops and bangs can damage the vehicle. The first is already mentioned in the Stage 2 Pop & Bang section of the text. In this case, damage can occur when pops and bangs are too extreme. However, well-trained and experienced experts can prevent you from crossing the safety line.

The second way bang and bang can seriously damage your car, regardless of the level of modification, is to have it adjusted by people who do not have the necessary knowledge, experience or equipment. Keep in mind that you are changing the way your engine is operating and putting a lot more stress on some parts of the vehicle. Not controlling every part of the process can be detrimental, even if you opt for lower intensity exhaust flames.

CURRENTLY AVAILABLE POP & BANG TUNINGS

To date we have developed pop and bang mods for some of the most popular and revered ECUs on the market. This allows us to offer pop and bang tuning for cars from manufacturers such as Mercedes Benz, Porsche, BMW, Audi, Volkswagen, Skoda, Seat, Renault, Peugeot, Citroen, Mini, Volvo, Fiat, Lancia, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Ford and many, many more.

Additionally, our list of available pops and pops is constantly expanding, so be sure to consult your dealer even if your car’s manufacturer isn’t on this list. Currently we can offer Pop & Bang tuning for numerous ECUs from Bosch, Siemens, Delphi, Denso etc.

POP AND BANG ON THE SPORTS BUTTON ONLY!

Right now we’re getting a lot of requests for pops and bangs on the sports button. That means the pop and bang feature only works when Sport mode is activated on a car. We are able to do this on different engines. The list of new ECUs that we can add this feature to is growing every week.

ADDITIONAL POSSIBILITIES

As we mentioned earlier, Pops and Bangs Remap offers a number of interesting improvements to your ride. Combined with our dedicated and experienced team, these great features take the driving experience to a whole new level. But the fun doesn’t stop there!

Aside from popping and popping, we also provide other performance and sound enhancement services such as , map swapping and more.

FAQ

What are some other names for pop and bang?

Pop and bang is also called Deceleration Map, Crackle Map, Pop and Crackle, Anti-Lag System, Popcorn, Exhaust Crackle, Pop on Overrun, Exhaust Overrun, AK47 and in some countries boost blubber or boost shutoff. All of these terms refer to the same effect.

Will pop and bang affect performance?

With turbocharged vehicles yes. As discussed above, maintaining turbo shortens response time and reduces or even eliminates turbo lag after deceleration. If your exhaust is popping and crackling, it means gases are flowing through it, keeping your turbo spinning.

Is Pop and Bang Safe?

When done right, controlled, tested well, and not pushed too far, pops and bangs are perfectly safe. In fact, many manufacturers offer pops and pops as a standard feature on their cars, and they come with regular warranty and security claims. These include some of the most well-known manufacturers such as Mercedes-Benz (especially for AMG vehicles), BMW and VW, as well as other VAG models. So, yes, pops and bangs are perfectly safe when done right. Otherwise they would hardly find their place in production cars. Going too far can be detrimental to your valves, exhaust system and catalytic converters, and in some cases even the turbo. This is why a controlled bang and bang tune developed by experts is essential if you want to enjoy the awesome sounds while maintaining the safety and reliability of your car.

Do I need turbo for pop and bang?

Turbo isn’t a requirement for pops and bangs, as the most important segments are the ignition and fuel cut delays. The only difference between turbo and non-turbo cars is that turbocharged cars benefit from the anti-lag feature. In addition, popping and popping noises can also occur when the vehicle is stationary. The mechanism is quite similar, but the sounds are of noticeably lower intensity.

Do I have to swap my downpipe for bang and bang?

This depends on a few conditions including stock configuration, catalyst flow, OPF and how strong you want the pops to be. In general, bangs and bangs can damage your catalytic converters, which are usually located in the downpipe. The harder the bang and bang, the greater the chance of a problem. However, we also know that many production cars with catalytic converters pop and pop. The reason for this and the answer to the question is that some vehicles can combine higher flow sports catalytic converters and controlled, safe pops and pops. Of course, should road car legal requirements in your country allow it, or if you are building a race car, catless downpipes are a safe choice for pop and bang on any car. If you need help deciding if your car should pop and bang, how hard you can drive and if you need to replace stock parts, contact us and get the best advice from experienced engineers.

Can I turn Pop and Bang on and off?

Yes, depending on the model. The most common setup only enables pop and bang when sport mode is enabled. It gives you the versatility to use your car as an everyday driver with a more muted sound for everyday conditions and also enjoy the extreme soundtrack when enjoying its performance.

What happens when a car burbles?

Essentially, the sudden easing off the throttle causes an immediate decrease in exhaust emissions to the degree that atmospheric pressure surrounding the exhaust pipe pushes cool air up into the exhaust system. This air collides with the warm exhaust gasses and creates a rumbling not unlike thunder.

Is BMW Burble actually good or bad? I will say that I’m new to this field and I’ve been trying to learn more about our cars. I’ll need some of your expertise!

I got this from a website:

Exhaust hum when decelerating

An exhaust rumble or throaty pop that could be likened to a babbling brook has a different cause if it only occurs when a vehicle suddenly decelerates. Essentially, the sudden release of the accelerator pedal causes an immediate reduction in exhaust emissions as the atmospheric pressure surrounding the tailpipe pushes cool air up into the exhaust system. This air collides with the warm exhaust gases, creating a rumble not unlike thunder. Usually, this only happens when the tailpipe is too large in diameter to maintain balanced air pressure, or when a seam in the tailpipes is leaking.

Is that why (if I’m not mistaken) people with modified crazy burbles are more likely to “break” something in the car IF they are on all stock components?

Using the example of BM3,

There are people who say it’s ok to run level 2 on all stock parts and the other half say no it’s not recommended. (PTF mentioned it’s ok if not ridden hard/on tracks)

Can I safely assume that a person running Stage 2 with all original parts and with Burbles off is better? Or is basically every stage, just tuning the car with burbles, better for the car overall?

Don’t tell me it’s BMW, just push it. lol.

How much does a pop tune cost?

Money equates to time. Each setup is different, and also depending on what type of system is being used (piggy back, chip, stand-alone, supercharged, naturally aspirated, street or race only, etc) tune costs can range from $250 to $1500.

Does Cobb have a burble tune?

Yes. In order for us to give you a burble add-on, we will need to have tuned your car first so we have a good starting point. The burble feature add-on is added-on to an existing performance tune.

Why do some cars burble?

What causes the exhaust burble? If you’re referring to the burble on deceleration, then the deceleration “pop” is in fact the combustion of unburned fuel in the exhaust caused by the injection of oxygen into the exhaust system by either the A.I.R. system or by cessation of fuel flow during deceleration.

I hear my exhaust pretty loud in the morning when I first start it up, but after a few minutes it gets pretty quiet. When I drive I don’t hear any bubbling like others describe on the forum and like I’ve heard in videos.

People have commented that my exhaust sounds great but I can’t hear anything in the cab even with my windows down.

Not sure if that’s just for the best, I’m not riding it hard enough (I’m still breaking it in) or the cabin is so well insulated that I can’t hear it?

How do you know if you have 340 or 339 MPE? Would it be on my window decal? Or can I find out another way? I have HD MPE and MPPK poets installed on my 435 GC. I only have 80 miles to drive. Burbles? Good or bad for the engine?

Blow? Good or bad for the engine? Hi everyone, I’ve tried to dig up as much information as possible. Most of the information I’ve found is mostly from N55 forums and posts. My question is, if the car does this marginally from the factory and can do quite a lot with a factory option, does this “bubbling” harm the engine in any way?

Second question is how is this done? How are the Burbles achieved? I’ve seen an explanation that makes it sound like it’s waiting to ignite in the piston until it goes down and opens the exhaust valve and all we hear is the piston firing through the exhaust.

Any input would be appreciated, I recently went MHD and am curious to see how these affect my engine and how it is done in the engine.

I love my Gintani tune. I cut out my primary cats but left the res and secondary cats in. It’s been about a year now and my car is running better than ever. As for the long-term side effects, I’m not sure. Fingers crossed the tune doesn’t cause any problems, but as of now it’s 100% worth it. The beauty is that you can control the amount of bubbles. It only bubbles when you release about 6k, which I don’t do often. If you let off the gas at 6km and let the transmission slow you down, it bubbles like crazy, which isn’t a typical everyday riding technique. I usually press the clutch and go into neutral when I’m slowing down because I think new brakes are cheaper than a new tranny. That being said, the hum is there when you actually step on it and not during normal driving. Perfect in my opinion.

EXHAUST POPS & BANGS, EXHAUST POP & BANG, CRACKLE MAP, POP TUNE, POPCORN, FLAME TUNE, BACKFIRE

We see they are called in different ways but all of them generally do the same thing, pop or burble on decel from the exhaust!

how can this be achieved?

We do all this magic through the Engine Controls Management (ECU Tune) by adjusting the ignition timing maps to burn the air/fuel mixture in the exhaust manifolds/manifolds.

Depending on the timing advance/retard, pop and bang or burble noises can be amplified or reduced.

Some of our customers ask for very loud pops and pops, while others are looking for smooth burbles or even a mix of some huge pops and then burbles.

Anything can be achieved if you know what you are doing with engine management.

Some people say, “You have to dump a lot of fuel to get bang and bang.”

it is not true. too much fuel results in less burble and fewer pops and bangs or crackles!

In general, we never increase fuel economy and never need extra fuel injection to get a good pop and bang or burble.

Burble Tune can be controlled, adjusted, and in some cases turned on and off as needed (we call it Burble on Demand).

I will list frequently asked questions here:

Q: Will Burble Tune harm my engine?

A: Anything can damage your engine if used excessively, too much use/abuse of Burble Tune or pop and bang can cause damage to the CAT (catalytic converter) or exhaust manifold or turbo (depending on application) if burble mod gently there is nothing to worry about (as long as professionals like us do it) if it was more damaging AMG BMW wouldn’t fit this mod as a standard feature on newer generation cars.

Q: Do I need catless headers (catless exhaust) to have a good pop and bang sound?

A: We highly recommend using our Burble Tune / Pop and bang / Popcorn mod with catless exhaust as people looking for pop tunes generally like to brag at car meets where not many control how long they last Shooting flames or pops out of the exhaust therefore it can be harmful to CATS if the car has any.

Q: Can my car get your Burble Tune?

A: As long as your car is 2002+ we can work it out, we offer Burble Tune, Pop and Bang Mod for almost all platforms running EFI and tunable engine timing management system.

We offer Remote Tune, E-Tune as well as in-house tuning service for our Mustang dyno.

Q: What do I need to get Burble Tune on my Camaro or other Chevy? A: To get our nonsense or performance tuning for your Chevrolet Camaro (Corvette or other).

You will need: HPtuners MPVI2 adapter and a Windows-based laptop.

Q: Burble on Demand, how does it work?

A: The way we offer Burble on Demand to our customers is very simple

A lot of people don’t want to keep Pop and Bang running all the time because it gets annoying very quickly, so we decided to offer our customers Burble Tune, which allows them to control when they should miss or shoot with the gas pedal. When you touch and hold the gas pedal very small on the Decel car there will be a pop/hum, but when you fully release the gas pedal there is no burble or pop sound at all.

Q: I want my car to shoot up flames just like your youtube videos
