It all started with a single malt
It was surprising to sample each type of malt representing the different regions of Scotland. We started with a light grain whiskey and a simple sweet malt before moving on to the very smoky Isle and Islay malt.
At the end of the test, it’s our turn to shuffle. Our Scotch blends have been far more successful than our attempt at making delicious Canadian whiskeys, although we don’t know if we could end up with a very poor blend of samples to work with.

Among those we tasted, our combination of 2 parts Speyside and 1 part Lowland Malt quickly became a favourite. We had sweet, fruity, and smoked elements during gravity.
