The sets contain 2 or more images that are stamped on top of each other to create a beautiful layered look. This technique is most effective for flowers and foliage.

Practice your inked layers on scrap paper as sometimes it takes a few tries to line up the stamps.

The key is to find the matching dots on each stamp.

For this card I only used two of the four layers for the flowers as I wanted to create a softer, vintage look.

I stamped the peonies and leaves separately on cardboard and punched them out with the matching punch set.

This gave me a chance to play around with the layout a bit since I didn’t stamp directly on the card face.

The background was designed with a wood-look embossing folder and completed with raindrops from Lucy’s Cards.

The last card uses all four layers of the peony and all three layers of the large leaf stamp from the Peony Bouquet stamp set.

I first stamped the outline stamp with black ink, but then switched to gray ink because it blended better with the colors.

For the background I used the Watercolor Dots stamp set from Altenew.

We will go through the most common challenges faced by Clear Jelly Stamper users. Please let me introduce myself. My name is Carrie Johnson and I am a Senior CjS Instructor and now a Wholesale Representative for CjS. My main goal is to make sure that every person out there using CjS is happily stamping without frustration. I recently had the opportunity to demonstrate our product at an open house at one of our distributors in Edmonton, AB this past weekend. As people sat down at my desk, I asked each of them the same question… “Is there anything you’re having trouble with?” Each and every one of them had at least one. These were the most common problems:* Make sure your stamping plate is completely clean and dry before applying stamping polish.* Apply your stamping polish in one direction and scrape in the opposite direction from the stamping plate off. This will ensure you have stamp polish in every part of the image.* Pressure and angle are very important when stamping. You’ll be much more successful at capturing images if you use a feathery, rolling motion across your image. If you apply too much pressure or press straight down, you probably won’t pick it up cleanly. Your Clear Jelly Stamper is delicate, so too much pressure when picking up or pressing on the nail can tear the jelly. Be gentle with the jelly* Make sure you stamp on a hard surface. When stamping on a manicure pad or sponge, you can’t keep the plate flat.* Hold your stamp plate down with one hand while scratching with the other. The large plates don’t sit completely flat. So if you don’t press down while scraping off the polish, the center of your image will likely be missing.* Be sure to apply an adequate amount of stamping polish. If you don’t apply enough stamping varnish, it will dry out too quickly and won’t pick up.* Hold your scraper at a 45-degree angle as you scrape off the stamping varnish. If you hold it perpendicular to the platter you will scrape too much.* Make sure your platter is clean and dry. If you don’t have a spotlessly clean plate, there may already be dried stamping varnish in the image. The new stamping varnish isn’t going in there.* Scratch in the opposite direction as you apply the stamping varnish to make sure there’s polish in every crevice.* You don’t have to be super fast, but you don’t want to wait either too long or the stamping varnish will dry out and become impossible to pick up.* Have everything ready to hand so you don’t waste time searching. The Clear Jelly Stamper leaves a small residue on the nail, allowing the gel to peel off and leave pockets. To avoid this, take a dry cloth and scrub the nail after stamping it. The picture is dry so it won’t go anywhere. This will remove the residue and BAM! ..Success! I recently learned this trick from the amazing @chrissiepearcenails and it has changed my world.* If you use nail polish, use our Smear Not Top Coat. It’s designed to work well with our Stamping Varnish * When you’re using gel, it’s all about printing. Do not spread the gel on. Perform a more floating action to cover the image.* Depending on the intensity of the streaks, the Clear Jelly Stamper will not pick up the streaks. If the streaks are drastic, you probably need to condition your scraper before using it. The scrapers are machine cut. So unless you file or polish the edges, there will be small, tiny, jagged bits that will affect your scraping.
