The easy recipe is just two popular cupboard forms – condensed milk and double cream whipped together.
TikTok star Emmah Ord posted her attempt at making the ice cream – praising it for “tasting just like Mr Whippy” – and everyone loved her creation, with the clip garnering 1.9million views so far.
However, some commenters noted that Elmlea Double, which she used for the recipe, is actually a cream alternative.

At popular supermarket Sainsbury’s, double cream can be bought for just £1.05 – and condensed milk can be bought for exactly the same price.
In her video on her TikTok page @EmmahOrd, the person said: “Rumour has it that you can make Mr. Whippy ice cream with condensed milk and double cream – so of course I’ll give it a try.
“Then I’ll add the condensed milk – I have no idea how much I’ll do. I’ll put the whole batch in.”
Emmah decided to add chocolate chips to her special blend.
She added: “I have this giant bag of chocolate chips so I’m going to use those. Look at that, doesn’t that just look stunning?’ The video ends with her saying, “Follow for the tasting.”
The perfect soft serve “didn’t even get hard,” and Emmah decided to add Choc Drops to her version
Followers were dying to know how it tasted – and she ended up posting a new video with her results.
She replied, “I didn’t expect this video to explode like this,” and then she finally said, “It’s sooo good. Never buy Mr. Whippy again, now I can do it.’
“It’s absolutely amazing,” she added. “It’s not rock hard! It tastes just like Mr. Whippy – and I added chocolate chips to flavor it.’
