Do promo codes actually work?
Promo codes are essentially allowing the customer to get the item they want for a cheaper price thus improving their overall shopping experience. They work very well with both new and returning customers because they can be used in many different ways.
20 Websites to Find US Promo Codes and Discounts
Weaving your promo codes around the best ecommerce sales days and busiest shopping months of the year can increase the effectiveness of your promo code campaigns.
What are promotional codes?
Promotional codes are a mix of letters and numbers that make up a specific code. This code can be entered on an e-commerce site to receive a discount on a product or service such as free shipping. It’s a marketing strategy that gives customers another reason to buy.
Promo codes have long been used to drive conversions and increase sales, so they have become an integral part of the online customer journey. Rarely will a visitor complete the checkout without seeing the promo code box, and many will respond by opening a separate tab to search for that elusive combination of letters and numbers in the hope that they magically unlock savings. This post looks at six clever ways to overcome them and turn promo codes into a weapon to add to your conversion arsenal.
How do promo codes work in marketing?
There are many ways to use promo codes to highlight your top offers. You can either do this locally on core pages or you can place promo codes in your email marketing campaigns that encourage your customers to buy. As mentioned earlier, promo codes can be deployed in different areas of your marketing funnel. For example, during your user journey, you can display them in header and footer banners or even in the side panels. According to internal data from SaleCycle, we estimate that over 20% of cart abandonments are due to the price of an item. So by offering a discount price with a promo code, you can entice customers to return to your site by alleviating one of the main reasons they left in the first place.
Why do promotional codes work?
Promo codes essentially allow the customer to get the item they want at a cheaper price, thereby improving their overall shopping experience. They work very well with both new and returning customers as they can be used in many different ways.
For example, public codes can be used for customer acquisition, e.g. H. including on-site banners and overlays to capture user attention. Or use codes in cart abandonment emails. This can tempt customers to complete their purchase if the reason for abandonment was price. The importance of customer service can also be felt when using promotional codes as they feel they are getting better service.
A personalized promotional code strategy for 2021
In 2022, customers are more interested in personalized offers than in blanket promotions that are available to everyone. This is a great tactic to encourage customer loyalty and improve customer retention. SaleCycle tracks codes related to individual customers, this allows us to understand customer behavior. This personalized approach allows businesses to leverage the data by offering offers and value codes, as opposed to generic offers that may not apply. The results can increase email marketing open rates and CTR.
When to use promo codes and how to improve your strategy: 6 tips
Used wisely, promo codes are not only a way to attract new customers, but also a great way to show your appreciation to your existing customers. Here are six smart ways to ensure your promo code strategy is on point.
1 Let your customers guess
Promo codes can be a great complement to cart abandonment emails and play a key role in increasing conversions.
They essentially add an extra incentive to entice customers to complete their purchase.
SaleCycle customer Little Mistress implements his promo code in the top banner of his email to let the customer know they can get 20% off their order they were so close to getting.
2 Don’t be too obvious
To avoid falling into the trap of shoppers intentionally abandoning their cart to get a discount, promotional code emails should be used over a short period of time. If promotional codes are used sporadically, customers should not get used to it and general sales goals should not be too deeply affected.
Emphasizing promo boxes less on the checkout page ensures that visitors without a promo code feel less likely to miss out on a discount that everyone else could get. Instead of using a loud and colorful “promo box,” a subtle expandable link with less visibility throughout the checkout process is a treat. A more subtle promo box allows visitors to flow through the customer checkout without worrying about leaving the site in search of a code.
Synonyms for promotional codes such as “gift cards” and “coupons” are also a great way to add subtlety to the promotional code’s call-to-action. With good strategic placement, shoppers with a promo code should easily be able to find the slightly more hidden promo box without too much trouble, while shoppers who don’t have a code aren’t unnecessarily alerted to the possibility of a discount.
3 Use customer behavior metrics and segments to set goals
To prevent promo codes from eating away at your sales, authorize promo codes only when customers meet a specific spend goal. It serves as a small encouragement for customers to reach a certain value in order to take advantage of this great offer. Consequently, those customers who add more items to their cart also contribute to your average order value (AOV). It’s a win-win situation. It is important to know your customers in terms of how much they are willing to spend before they are discouraged by an unattainable goal of taking advantage of a discount.
There’s a fine line between lost sales and increasing AOV, so use your data to find the right balance.
SaleCycle customer Total Wine’s abandoned cart email primarily reminds the customer what they left in their cart to guide them back to their website. The inclusion of a promo code strategically placed at the top of the email persuades customers to add a few more bottles of wine to their cart to take advantage of a discount. After all, a few more bottles never hurts.
4 promotional codes for existing customers
Loyal customers are gold. If you can retain just 5% more of your existing customers, you could potentially increase a company’s profitability by 75% more sales. It’s no secret that shoppers love special access, and one way to keep your loyal customers coming back is to give them the VIP treatment. From a marketing perspective, this is simply segmentation. But creating exclusive promo codes created only for your most loyal customers will instill a unique sense of loyalty that will make them feel like they are receiving a significant benefit. For best results, offer loyalty promo codes for a limited time to create urgency. Once again, skip the affiliate fees and show how much you value your customers by giving them their own unique code. These loyal customers are worth impressing, and with a little extra effort, you’ll see the benefits.
5 Have fun
Another great way to retain customers and get them coming back is to keep things fun.
Gamification of the loyalty experience helps companies stay in the minds of shoppers. Giving shoppers a reward (e.g. a promo code) after they’ve shopped that many times is a great way to say thank you.
It can often be that little nudge they need to make the purchase they’ve been considering.
Starbucks has long been a leader in enhancing the shopping experience, with over 12.1 million active Starbucks Rewards users. Their rewards program encourages customers to earn points, or “stars,” to receive the benefit of a free drink or food item and other perks when they use their card to make a purchase.
6 Personalize your promo codes: your customers’ special days
Post-purchase birthday and anniversary emails are growing in popularity as brands become more savvy with their data. With open rates and redemptions 2.5x higher than the average for all email campaigns, these events are truly something to celebrate. Birthday emails offer the perfect opportunity to create a highly targeted and personalized email to show your customers how much you care. Most importantly, it can actually be used to encourage customers to spend their excess birthday cash if you add a special promo code.
What does the future hold for promo codes?
Exclusive promo codes are the perfect way to wish your customers a happy birthday. To ensure your birthday emails have a high conversion rate, give your customers enough time to redeem their offer. Crocs celebrates the anniversary of its customers’ email subscription to recognize their longstanding relationship with the brand. As a thank you, Crocs is offering customers 15% off with an exclusive promo code for their next purchase. Though it may seem small, small celebrations like this reinforce customer positivity while fostering customer loyalty.
In the last decade, promo codes have become an important part of the customer journey.
For brands to get the most out of promo codes, they need to be profitable for them as well as beneficial for their customers.
Based on predictive patterns of customer behavior, brands can use promo codes to influence the right customer with the right discount at the right time within their unique customer journey.
This allows brands to engage with customers at crucial touch points and display promo codes relevant to their previous promotions, e.g. B. Searched categories, number of visits, shopping cart value and much more etc.
By implementing a highly segmented promo code strategy, brands can reduce the cost of customer acquisition, increase customer lifetime value, and create a fluid customer journey.
With the right approach from retailers, the days of opening a new tab when you go to the checkout page could be coming to an end.

Are promo codes safe?
It’s illegal because it’s a form of counterfeiting. If you create your own coupons on your computer, designing them to look just like legitimate coupons, that’s coupon fraud (and counterfeiting) too. Last year, the FBI arrested someone for doing exactly that.
20 Websites to Find US Promo Codes and Discounts
I am interested in internet vouchers. I heard that some coupon websites are fake (fake coupons) and can infect your computer with a virus.
How can we know what is a safe coupon website that actually has real coupons?
Many Thanks,
Lynett
I asked Lynette for more details on exactly what she heard and where she heard it. She replied…
I saw something on the news about grocery stores being forced to increase prices due to fraudulent coupons (mostly coupons from websites).
As for the malware, I am a victim of this event. I clicked on Coupons.com and in the end some computer guy tried to save my computer from over 1,400 viruses attached to this website.
I quickly realized that Lynette was talking about two different things: coupon fraud and coupon-related computer viruses and malware.
Let’s take them one by one…
Voucher Scam
I haven’t seen any price increases due to coupon fraud – and I couldn’t find any recent reports about it. But that doesn’t mean it’s impossible. Because fake coupons are real.
And they cost businesses money. If you redeem a real coupon, the store will receive a refund from the manufacturer that issued the coupon. But with fake coupons, the store absorbs the loss.
As I explain in Bad Couponing: 9 Tips to Avoid, there are several forms of illegal and unethical couponing.
For example, if you photocopy a legitimate coupon and try to pass it off as real, you are dealing with coupon fraud. It’s illegal because it’s a form of counterfeiting. Creating your own coupons on your computer and making them look exactly like legitimate coupons is also coupon fraud (and counterfeiting). Last year the FBI arrested someone for doing just that.
The Coupon Information Corporation — a national non-profit organization that protects coupon-issuing manufacturers — maintains a list of counterfeit coupons.
Voucher-related computer viruses and malware
Some sort of virus or malware (short for “malicious software”) was dealing with – or seemingly connected with – Coupons.com in early 2011.
The story goes on
However, the site denied being infected or infecting its visitors’ computers. As one of their engineers explained in a long comment he posted on several couponing blogs, Coupons.com accused a “Trojan horse”. This type of malware mimics a legitimate computer file or program to trick you into downloading more malicious files or programs.
wrote the engineer…
Some of our users are tricked by a browser redirecting trojan sitting latent on their [computer] since the download, most likely from a questionable file-sharing network file, email, website or even a sharing instant messaging program Rights unlocked.
The Trojan modifies your web browser to redirect to a malicious website that looks like a Microsoft “My Computer” window that runs a fake virus scan that detects non-existent threats on your computer…. Our website is probably attacked by the redirect virus on your computer by some logic unknown to us, probably because it is a popular website in your browsing history.
Was the engineer telling the truth? It’s not really possible for someone to prove they didn’t do something – there wouldn’t be any evidence, would there? — but I believe her story because it makes sense. Without Couponer, Coupons.com would go broke. Deliberately infecting website visitors with a virus or malware would be self-sabotage – because once word got around, visitors would stop visiting the website.
But the lesson all online couponers, and online couponer wannabes like Lynette, should take from this is to make sure you have virus and malware protection – and that it’s up to date – before launching any type of website search.
If your computer is properly protected, there is no reason to fear reputable coupon sites like Coupons.com, RedPlum.com, SmartSource.com, or the Money Talks News deal pages (which we review ourselves). If your computer isn’t protected, well, we have the answer for that too…

Where do reputable couponers get coupons? The answer to this question depends on the person, but it is safe to say that most couponers use different strategies to get the coupons they need.
Where do reputable couponers get vouchers? For the newbie, couponing often seems like a very intimidating task. Finding coupons isn’t hard, however, if you’re willing to spend a little time and effort figuring out which sources are best for the specific products your family uses the most.
Newspapers The Sunday newspaper is an essential resource for anyone interested in couponing. Large newspapers typically have between one and four separate coupon inserts, as well as in-store flyers showing sales for the coming week. You can even check out the Sunday Coupon Preview during the week to get an idea of what the best coupons might be. While many couponers make a habit of buying two or three newspapers each week, you don’t necessarily have to pay for additional newspapers. Friends and family who don’t clip coupons may be willing to save their inserts for you. You can also try asking for newspapers at the library, local restaurants, or other establishments. They are generally recycled at the end of the day.
Magazines Magazines can be a good source for coupons, especially magazines geared towards women or mothers with young children. All You is a newer women’s magazine known for having a number of valuable coupons, even going so far as to place the amount of coupons available on the cover of each issue. Family Fun, Women’s Day, and Good Housekeeping also often have coupons in each issue.
Grocery Stores Don’t forget to look for coupons when you’re shopping. You can often find offers with certain product packages or printed on your receipt. If you have young children at home, consider helping them save money by keeping an eye out for these special types of coupons.
Printable Online Coupons When it comes to convenience, you can’t beat printable online coupons. If you have access to a computer, printer, and an Internet connection, you can find coupons for almost anything your family needs. The most popular sites for printable online coupons are Coupons.com and SmartSource.com, although sites with online shopping codes like Retail Me Not also have links to printable coupons.
Manufacturer Serious couponers know that it is often worth writing to the manufacturer of a product that you particularly like. Companies often reply to customer letters with a thank you package containing valuable coupons. Whether the product in question is shampoo, toothpaste, breakfast cereal or pet food, keeping loyal customers happy is just smart business sense. Unless you’re a big letter writer, you should at least sign up for free email newsletters from your favorite product manufacturers. These newsletters often contain links to exclusive printable coupons. If you are concerned about the possibility of spam, you can try setting up a free email account that will be used solely for this purpose.
Buy coupons Where do reputable couponers get coupons? Often they turn to sites that specialize in selling coupons. Sites like The Coupon Clippers and Select Coupon Program allow you to purchase coupons for specific projects for pennies per coupon plus a small shipping and handling fee. Buying multiple coupons for products that you know your family will use can be a wonderful way to simplify your couponing process.

20 Websites to Find US Promo Codes and Discounts
In the startup world, financial services are the most prevalent. There are about 5,000 fintech companies in the US alone – out of the 12,000 or so we have around the world. A report puts the number of entrepreneurs worldwide at 472 million. So there will soon be more than enough startups, products and unicorns.
Knowing that there are numerous startups for different industries is one thing; finding them is another matter. Unfortunately, most startups haven’t yet achieved the level of exposure that will bring them into the mainstream media. So how do you find startups when you need them for something?
Why You May Need to Find Startup Businesses
By today’s standards, startup companies are organizations that use technology to provide solutions and services to local or international consumers. Aside from the services these startups offer, here are a few reasons to find them:
For investments
Investing is an excellent way to create wealth. Therefore, make sure you find the right startup to invest in, either if you are looking to build an investment portfolio or expand the existing one. Start your search process by identifying what type of investor you want to be. Also, know your niche and analyze numerous potential startups. Finally, you need to understand why you are choosing to invest in a company. Then create an investment strategy and stick to it no matter what.
For job offers
Startup companies are generally fast-moving as most operate on a “deliver fast and fail fast” psychology, which gives them the space to experiment with different things. So if you want to enjoy the thrill, consider partnering with a startup.
Thanks to the flood of investments pouring into startup companies these days, they pay very lucrative salaries. However, you should always know that startups close as fast as they rise. According to research, the startup failure rate was as high as 90% in 2019, with most of them finally failing in the 10th year. Therefore, prepare for the possibility of having to change jobs.
For partnerships and service offerings
Startup companies are highly specialized organizations whose core team focuses only on their primary product offering. As such, they rely heavily on third-party providers for the smooth running of other parts of a business. So if you offer services that you think a startup might need, you should find them and reach out to them.
Is Google a search engine?
Google Search is a fully-automated search engine that uses software known as web crawlers that explore the web regularly to find pages to add to our index.
20 Websites to Find US Promo Codes and Discounts
Google Search is a fully automated search engine that uses software known as a web crawler that periodically scans the web to find pages to add to our index. In fact, the vast majority of pages featured in our results are not submitted for inclusion manually, but are found and added automatically when our web crawlers crawl the web. This document explains the stages in which search works in the context of your site. With this basic knowledge, you can troubleshoot crawling issues, get your pages indexed, and learn how to improve your site’s appearance in Google Search.
Looking for something less technical? Check out our How Search Works page, which explains how search works from a searcher’s perspective.
A few notes before we get started
Before we dive into the details of how search works, it’s important to note that Google doesn’t accept payments to crawl a site more often or rank it higher. If anyone tells you otherwise, you are wrong.
Google does not guarantee that your page will be crawled, indexed, or served, even if your page complies with Google’s policies and guidelines for site owners.
Introduction to the three phases of Google search
Google search works in three stages, and not all pages make it through each stage:
Crawling: Google uses automated programs called crawlers to download text, images and videos from sites it finds on the Internet. Indexing: Google analyzes the text, image and video files on the page and stores the information in the Google Index, a large database. Providing search results: When a user searches on Google, Google returns information relevant to the user’s query.
Crawl
The first stage is to find out what pages exist on the web. There is no central register of all websites, so Google must constantly check for new and updated sites and add them to its list of known sites. This process is called “URL detection”. Some pages are known because Google has already visited them. Other pages are discovered when Google follows a link from a known page to a new page: For example, a hub page, such as a category page, links to a new blog post. Still other pages are discovered when you submit a list of pages (a sitemap) for Google to crawl.
Once Google discovers a page’s URL, it can visit (or “crawl”) the page to find out what’s on it. We use a huge group of computers to crawl billions of pages on the web. The program that does the retrieval is called Googlebot (also known as a robot, bot, or spider). Googlebot uses an algorithmic process to determine which websites to crawl, how often, and how many pages to fetch from each website. Google’s crawlers are also programmed in such a way that they try not to crawl the page too quickly in order not to overload it. This mechanism is based on responses from the website (e.g. HTTP 500 errors mean “slow”) and settings in Search Console.
However, Googlebot does not crawl all of the pages it discovers. Some pages cannot be crawled by the site owner, other pages may not be accessible without logging in to the site, and other pages may be duplicates of previously crawled pages. For example, many websites are accessible via the www ( www.example.com ) and non-www ( example.com ) versions of the domain name, even though the content is identical in both versions.
During the crawl, Google renders the page and runs any JavaScript it finds with an up-to-date version of Chrome, much like how your browser renders the pages you visit. Rendering is important because websites often rely on JavaScript to get content onto the page, and without rendering, Google may not be able to see that content.
Crawling depends on Google’s crawlers being able to access the site. Some common problems with Googlebot accessing websites are:
indexing
After a page is crawled, Google tries to understand what the page is about. This phase is called indexing and includes the processing and analysis of the text content and the main content tags and attributes, such as: B.
During the indexing process, Google determines whether a page is a duplicate of another page on the web or canonical. The canonical page is the page that can be displayed in search results. To select the canonical page, we first group the pages that we have found on the web that have similar content and then select the one that is most representative of the group. The other pages in the group are alternative versions that can be provided in different contexts, e.g. B. when the user searches from a mobile device or searches for a very specific page from that cluster.
Google also collects signals about the canonical page and its content, which can be used in the next stage where we serve the page in search results. Some signals include the language of the page, the country where the content is local, the usability of the page, and so on.
The information collected about the canonical page and its cluster can be stored in the Google index, a large database hosted on thousands of computers. Indexing is not guaranteed; not every page processed by Google is indexed.
Indexing also depends on the content of the page and its metadata. Some common indexing problems can be:
Provide search results
Google doesn’t accept payment to rank pages higher, and the ranking is done programmatically.
When a user enters a search query, our engines scan the index for matching pages and return the results that we believe are of the highest quality and most relevant to the user. Relevance is determined by hundreds of factors, which may include information such as the user’s location, language, and device (desktop or phone). For example, a search for “bike repair shops” would return different results to a user in Paris than to a user in Hong Kong.
Search Console may tell you that a page is indexed, but you don’t see it in search results. This could be because:
While this guide explains how search works, we’re constantly working to improve our algorithms. You can follow these changes by following the Google Search Central blog.

20 Websites to Find US Promo Codes and Discounts
Roblox coupon codes are usually a source of fun cosmetics for your character. If you want to make your avatar stand out with a t-shirt, hat, or equippable accessories and even weapons, the best way to do it is to use codes to expand your collection of customization options.
Typically Roblox items cost Robux – which for many players means parting with real money. However, there are plenty of Robox promo codes that, once redeemed, can give your character a little custom flair without spending any money. Many codes have come and gone over the last 16 years, but there are many you can still redeem today – and of course new ones are being added frequently.

How to Redeem Roblox Codes
To redeem most promotional codes in Roblox, you need to go to the Redeem Roblox Promotions page, enter your code in the text box and click Redeem.
In some games, such as B. Island of Move, you have the option to redeem a code in-game. You do this in the game’s lobby: interact with the “Play” button and you should see a pop-up window giving you the options “Play Game” or “Redeem Code”. Select the latter, enter your code in the text field and click the tick to redeem.
How to get free clothes and items in Roblox
In addition to promo codes, Roblox has over 100 items that you can redeem for free by simply visiting their Avatar Shop page and clicking Claim. Below we’ve compiled a list of all of the ones we can currently find:
Game reward items in Roblox
A final source of free cosmetic items in Roblox are in-game rewards. Some games on the platform offer reward items for completing certain in-game achievements. This can be anything from completing a specific quest, to defeating the whole thing, to playing for the first time.
Can you get Robux from promo codes?
Real Roblox codes will not grant you free Robux. Legitimate Robux gift card giveaways sometimes happen on social media through accounts managed by Roblox, its creators, and affiliates, but other than that, there’s no way to get the platform’s premium currency for free.
We strongly advise you to avoid third party websites that claim to have methods to get free Robux. These are mostly scams that spread misinformation for clicks at best and can be phishing for your Roblox account details or other personal information at worst.
