Sims 4 Alien Skintones? The 13 New Answer

In my previous guide I wrote about how to get abducted by aliens in The Sims 4. But what if your Sim comes home pregnant with an alien baby?

In this guide, we’ll cover all aspects of alien pregnancy in The Sims 4 – from pregnancy to how to deal with your new arrival.

How to get pregnant with an alien baby

In order to get pregnant, your Sim must be kidnapped. Since I already have a detailed guide on how to hijack, I won’t go into too much detail here. But for the sake of completeness, here are the basics:

Go outside at night between 10pm and 4am for a chance of being kidnapped.

Increase your chances by joining the scientist career and using the satellite dish to contact aliens.

When your Sim reaches level 7 Logic, they can use Search for Truth in the Observatory to increase the chances even further.

Tip: Only male Sims can conceive alien babies in The Sims 4. Female Sims can only get pregnant if you use a mod – In The Sims 4, only male Sims can get pregnant with alien babies. Female Sims can only get pregnant if you use a mod – like MC Command Center

Male Sims have a 25% chance of returning pregnant from a kidnapping. You’ll know your Sim is pregnant if they have the Strange Stomach buff when the spaceship drops them home.

This mood is instantly present, along with the regular abduction mood.

If your Sim is abducted by aliens and becomes pregnant, they will be “pollinated” by Senior Pollination Technician #3. This NPC is a female alien who kidnaps male Sims and impregnates them with alien DNA.

Have an alien baby with cheats

You can also cheat your Sim pregnant with an alien baby if you have MC Command Center (a highly recommended mod for this game). Click on your Sim and choose:

MC Command Center > MC Pregnancy > Start Alien Pregnancy

Enter the number of babies to generate (maximum three) or leave them random. Senior Pollination Technician #3 is the second parent as if your Sim was kidnapped.

Pregnancy begins immediately. This is a good way to have an alien pregnancy quickly if you’re making a save file or just need one for story purposes (or if you just don’t want to wait for an abduction).

Alien pregnancy trimester

Male Sims “give birth” 72 hours after abduction. Just like female pregnancies, they have three “trimesters.” However, different moodlets mark the trimesters.

The Strange Stomachache Moodlet lasts for 24 hours after your Sim returns. This is the first “trimester” of pregnancy. Your Sim has a small baby bump and will occasionally touch their tummy while a green light emits and a spooky sound is heard.

After 24 hours, the “Weird Weight Gain” moodlet replaces a weird stomach ache. This takes another 24 hours. During this second “trimester” of pregnancy, your Sim’s baby bump will only get bigger.

After another 24 hours (48 hours total), the Abnormal Body Changes Moodlet replaces the weird weight gain. This marks the third “trimester”. Your Sim will have their third bump and look like they are 9 months pregnant.

After another 24 hours (72 hours total), the Imminent Close Encounter moodlet replaces abnormal body changes. That means he’s in active “work” and ready to drive that alien spawn away! A notice will also appear that your Sim is in labor.

Birth of an alien baby

Once your Sim goes into labor, they have two choices – to have the baby at home or in the hospital. You also have the option to join your Sim in the hospital or send them alone.

To have the baby at home (where nobody asks questions), buy a bassinet, click on it and choose “have baby”.

Your Sim will go to the bassinet (so make sure they can reach it). He’ll hold his stomach and make some contraction sounds for a few seconds. You will then be prompted to name the child (or children if you have twins).

Next, your Sim will turn around and the alien baby will appear in their arms. Congratulations!

To have the baby in the hospital, click on your Sim and select “Having the baby in the hospital”. You have the choice to join him or send him alone.

If you send him alone, he will leave the premises. A few minutes later, a prompt will appear asking you to name the baby. Your Sim will return to the lot and the baby will appear in an alien cradle in the house.

If you join him, you will be transported to the hospital compound. A prompt will allow you to select friends or family members to accompany you with your Sim at this time.

A few seconds after arriving at the hospital, your Sim will change into a hospital gown and go to the delivery room and delivery room. A doctor will arrive to deliver the baby.

Tip: If your Sim doesn’t automatically change into their robes, click on the receptionist and select “Check in at Reception”.

Your doctor knows what she’s doing… sort of. But no matter what, you’re taking home an alien baby!

Next, a prompt will appear asking you to name the baby (or babies if you have twins).

After the “delivery” the baby appears in the bassinet in the delivery room. Your Sim will cuddle with the baby, and if you have parenthood, they’ll learn the parenting skill through that interaction.

The baby will disappear from the hospital, but it will be there when you get home. You also get a cute Alien Birth Certificate to hang on your wall as confirmation that you do in fact have alien offspring.

Send an alien baby back to the home world

If you don’t want to keep the alien baby after birth, you have another option. Send it back to the homeworld (Sixam) where it will be raised by its alien family instead.

Just click on the baby and select Send to Homeworld.

You will be asked if you really want to send the baby back to the home planet. If you do, you’ll never see the baby again, so make sure you really want it. There is no way to retrieve the baby once it’s gone.

If you select “Return”, a beam of light will appear and beam the baby away, leaving you with an empty cradle.

You can still change your mind and choose Keep if you want to raise the baby.

When a Sim is abducted, the baby they give birth to is 100% alien – not a hybrid.

The baby will have alien skin color and full extraterrestrial powers when it grows up. Even though it shares its DNA with its human father, it just doesn’t look like it.

If this baby grows up and has a baby with a regular sim, it will always be a hybrid. Only two aliens or two hybrids can produce a full-fledged alien child. And when two hybrids breed, there’s only a 33 percent chance of getting a full alien.

Taking care of your alien baby

The game treats alien babies the same way it treats sim babies. They need to be fed, changed and socialized.

One key difference, however, is the sound of their scream. Alien babies have a metallic sounding cry that I personally find incredibly annoying! It can really get on your nerves, so take good care of your little one to avoid it.

And even though your Sim is male, he can breastfeed an abducted baby if he gives birth! (I’m not sure where the milk comes from.)

As for the game, there is no difference between bottle feeding and breastfeeding, so choose the one you like the most.

OK, I don’t know what’s going on. I made a sim and his brother. A sim had 2 kids and a wife and now their relationships are all screwed up. I can’t make my sim uncle to kids only brother, one of my kids has dad listed as brother. My sim uncle listed his nieces and nephews as roommates. WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON HERE! I love the game so far but holy crap this sucks. Even if you get married, your last name will not change. I hope these are all things that will be fixed in the next update. Does anyone else have this or similar problems?

Sims 4 CAS Cheat – Glitches and Fixes

The game recently released the latest patch that eliminated many features of The Sims 4 full edit mode. Because of this, many cheats no longer work, but the community managed to find a suitable workaround for it.

Therefore, if you are also encountering Sims 4 CAS cheats error in full edit mode, make sure you follow the steps below properly:

First of all you have to make sure that the family is currently out of world and once you have made sure of that you have to navigate to the household management options available in the game.

Now that you are in your game’s household management option, you need to navigate to your family and click on the edit option with a pencil icon next to it.

There you will see a new option called “Cas Click” where you will see several options related to your Sims. Here you need to select the “New Sim” option followed by the “Play with Genetics” option.

Lastly, all you have to do is change your family’s relationship with siblings, then select the random twin option to make things work as intended in the game’s full edit mode.

This allows you to create a completely new and identical Sim that can be easily edited using the full edit mode in Sims 4. As you do this, you may find that the traits, clothing, facial hair, and aspirations still remain the same for the identical character you created.

It’s entirely up to you whether you want to delete the older sim and just continue with the identical one or not.

How to Install Sims 4 CAS Cheat on PS4/PS5?

Since game consoles don’t provide a keyboard and only allow you to manage the UI with their joystick controllers, it becomes quite difficult to tinker with cheats on these platforms. Also, it’s easier to create mods for PC versions of the game than for console versions.

However, if you carefully follow a series of steps, you can easily enter the full editing mode in Sims 4 with your Playstation 4 console.

If this is your first time doing this, the first thing you’ll need to do is open the cheat console by pressing the R1, R2, L1, and L2 key combination together unless you see a command box on your screen that you can use to provide input. Make sure all keys are pressed at the same time to successfully open this command box.

On October 6th we released a PC base game update* that fixed issues with some of the existing darker skin tones. In particular, we addressed the streaks of color that appeared on Sims’ cheeks and foreheads that created a striped and uneven appearance, and fixed the discoloration along the tip of the nose. This allowed us to create a consistent tone across the body, making the shadows and details stand out more visually. (You can read the details below to see if the update works on your computer.) We’ve also tweaked the base game’s male afro and braid hairstyles to reflect the detail, texture, and style of their real-life counterparts . Console players will notice these changes in the November 10 update.

These improvements are just the first step in our plans to give you the tools you deserve to express yourself.

An important update is coming this December

On December 8th we will be adding over 100 new skin tones to The Sims 4. Each skin tone will have a value slider to unlock thousands of more customizable options. Additionally, we’ll be improving compression to better display both new and existing skin tones, including improving the quality of tans and sunburns.

The Sims 4 genetics usually offer a nice mix of parents. Sometimes children may take after one of their parents. But overall, the game averages traits like hair color, eye color, skin tone, and other physical traits between parents.

Unfortunately, on rare occasions, your Sims’ genes can produce surprising results. Many Sims 4 players complained that babies sometimes appear dark-skinned even though the parents have light or relatively pale skin.

How can that be? Let’s examine the factors that could lead to these results.

Why do light skinned parents have dark skinned babies in Sims 4?

They use custom skin tones

If you use CC skin tones, wait until the baby becomes a toddler. Your skin should lighten soon after age. Sometimes, due to compatibility issues with your current CC skin tone, the game will simply choose a random skin color to display. In other words, the game can sometimes get a bit messed up with CC skin tones.

Many Sims 4 players have confirmed that when using MC Command Center to create teenage pregnancies, light skinned parents will have dark skinned babies. You can quickly fix the problem with cas.fulleditmode. The next generation should not be affected by similar problems.

Remove skins, mods and CC

Alternatively, you can remove all of your skins, mods, and custom content. Start a new game and take your sims to the new game. Check what skin tone you get.

Sims 4 is bugged

Dark skinned babies may indicate the game is bugged. Unfortunately, The Sims 4 is far from being a flawless game. There are countless bugs and glitches that affect the game, it’s virtually impossible to list them all. Some of these bugs have been around for years.

Check if other players have recently complained about similar issues. In this case, report the bug to EA. It’s pretty common for the latest Sims 4 patches to bring their own issues.

Baby doesn’t look like parents at all in Sims 4

If babies and children in Sims 4 don’t look like parents, it’s possible that the genetics came from the grandparents. Custom skin tones can sometimes conflict with genetics, which could explain why kids don’t look like their parents.

You won’t lose anything. Just make sure you don’t delete any files and make a backup copy.

Repair your game after renaming by right-clicking the game in Origin.

First try a new game with nothing added (start new game). If it works, put your save game back and try again. If it still works you can start resetting stuff.

Create your mermaid

Mermaids can be created directly in CAS by selecting the occult option when adding a new Sim to the household. Existing Sims cannot be made into mermaids in CAS (but they can become mermaids in-game! More on that later!)

Like aliens and vampires, mermaids have both human and occult forms. You can dress up your human form just like any human Sim, but mermaid form only has one outfit category; swimwear. Mermaids have a variety of customization options tailored specifically for them. You can choose both the style and color of their fins. Some fin patterns have neat patterns or shimmering scales. For female mermaids, you can also choose from a variety of tops ranging from human swim tops to coconut and seashell to breast scales that extend up from the tail. Mix and match fin and top styles and colors as much as you like!

Mermaids also have some new glowing/patterned eyes and face presets designed specifically for them. Create the perfect recreation of Ariel, or opt for a style more akin to the sinister merfolk from the Harry Potter films. It’s all up to you.

TIP! Wouldn’t you like your mermaid to resemble her human form? Separate the two forms in CAS and any changes you make to one form will not apply to the other! Link them again if you want a change to apply to both forms. Neat, right?

Biology of the mermaid

Mermaids age at the same rate as human Sims. Sims of any age can be mermaids, but toddlers and children don’t grow their fins or show mermaid skills until they reach their teens.

Mermaids all have the same motives as human Sims except for one. The hygiene theme is replaced with a new mermaid drinking theme. Mermaids can walk on land as humans, but they cannot remain out of water for long periods of time. They need to be in the water frequently to thrive. The hydration theme will slowly wear off over time when a mermaid is out of the water. Baths, showers, and drinking water can help restore hydration motive, but mermaids are happiest when outside in open water.

The hydration motif serves a second function; It is also a mermaid’s energy source. The more hydrated a mermaid is, the more powers she can use. A dehydrated mermaid will not be able to use her powers. More on that in the next section.

Mermaids automatically change into human form on land and revert to mermaid form in water; However, mermaids can wade in very shallow waters in their human forms.

Mermaid Abilities and Limitations

Mermaids do not have a skill tree. All mermaids have the same abilities and limitations, but their traits affect what actions they can and cannot perform. Mermaids with the Good trait cannot inflict serious damage on human Sims with their powers. Mermaids with the Evil trait cannot use certain powers that benefit human Sims. Mermaids who do not have either of these traits are more neutral and can use all mermaid abilities.

Each power a mermaid uses costs Hydration Points, which come from the Hydration theme. Using a Mermaid power exhausts the Hydration theme. The more a mermaid uses her powers on land, the faster her hydration motive will be depleted. This means that mermaids are at their strongest in water as they have an unlimited source of hydration points in water.

Other mermaid skills

Mermaids have a few other abilities that don’t cost any drinking points. They are just innate assets of a mermaid.

Mermaids can sleep in water. You don’t have to use beds at all. Combined with the fact that all Sims (including mermaids) can relieve themselves in the water when their bubble theme becomes desperate, your mermaids can live almost exclusively in the water and rarely need to come to shore except for the occasional bite to eat. All other motives can be satisfied in the water, including the social motive.

Mermaids can sunbathe in the water; However, if their mermaid form has a special occult skin tone, they cannot do this. Occult skin tones will not tan or burn.

Mermaids can dive freely without having to reach fitness level 3 first.

Mermaids occasionally make dolphin noises on land. They also frequently fold their hands and hum to themselves on land.

Mermaids transform into their mermaid form when bathing.

Mermaids can swim in pools.

Mermaids can talk to fish in aquariums.

Mermaid Restrictions

Mermaids don’t have many limitations. The ones they have are pretty minor, but there are a few things your mermaid sims can’t do.

Mermaids cannot use ladders. Their fins make climbing a bit difficult.

Mermaids cannot dive. You don’t need scuba gear to go diving, so you don’t have the option to buy any; However, mermaids can still free dive and do all the same things that diving sims can do while free diving, so that’s not a huge disadvantage at all.

You don’t have to make a mermaid in CAS. Human Sims can become mermaids by eating seaweed.

Seaweed can be purchased for 500 Happiness Points, but if your Sim is the more adventurous type, you can also find Seaweed by exploring the cave on Mua Pal’em. Sims also have a chance to find seaweed while scuba diving.

Once your Sim has seaweed in their inventory, click on it to make your Sim eat it. You’ll immediately get an energetic mood called Strange Sensations, which suggests your Sim should probably find some open water to swim in. This mood lasts 24 hours in-game.

If your Sim enters the water while wearing the Strange Sensations moodle, they will transform into a mermaid!

Simply select the Werewolfism occult trait in Create-A-Sim if you don’t mind creating a brand new Sim. In The Sims 4, this is the easiest way to treat yourself to a werewolf sim right away.

A character gets werebies when a werewolf bites them in a non-consensual attack. This will eventually evolve into full-fledged lycanthropy as well. Go to the Grimtooth Bar immediately and claim the Werebies Remedy if you want to get rid of it. Remember that while it’s still werebies, the Sim needs to treat it because once it manifests, it’s incurable.

Players may have another of their characters speak to a lycanthrope who is already a werewolf and wish to transfer that trait to them. Players can talk their way into a bite. The Cursed Bite skill and a solid relationship with the asking Sim are both necessary for the werewolf to perform this. The Sim goes through four contraction phases after receiving the curse. After that, they gain the werewolf trait and can howl at the moon with their lycanthrope friends.
