Slow & Steady

dear lolo

Sway your Buu Thang to the smooth tones of tropical music while savoring the delicious and complex flavor of Love Lulo Chews. Known as lulo in its native Colombia and naranjilla in Central America, this “little orange” has an intense and extraordinary taste. It combines citric aspects of lemon, lime and pineapple with tart flavors of rhubarb and kiwi, but still retains the sweetness to tone it down. The 4:1 CBD:THC dosage of these fruit chews allows you to stay clear-headed and uplifted while relieving anxiety. 200 mg CBD: 50 mg THC per unit.

KUSH GROOVE ENLISTS REV CLINICS TO INTRODUCE SLOW & STEADY EDIBLES

Kush Groove, a local black-owned marijuana lifestyle retailer, and Revolutionary Clinics, one of the state’s leading medical marijuana distributors, announced a partnership to develop Slow & Steady Edible Chews for the adult and medical markets in Massachusetts . The cannabis-infused gummies contain confections made from tropical fruits native to the Caribbean and Latin America. Rev will manufacture and distribute Slow & Steady Edibles at its three pharmacies in Cambridge and Somerville, as well as to its wholesale customers and make them available to adult-use customers throughout Massachusetts. The edibles will also be available at Kush Groove’s three recreational cannabis dispensaries upon opening in 2022.

Slow & Steady edibles feature unique flavors not currently found in the cannabis market. These tropical fruit flavors include: lulo, soursop, papaya, and passion fruit. Kush Groove curated these flavors to celebrate consumers in the Caribbean diaspora and to embrace the untapped diversity of cannabis culture here in Massachusetts. The edibles will also be available in a range of THC-to-CBD formulations and will be available in Rev pharmacies and other adult retail locations in December.

“As a Black owned company inspired by our collective cultural experiences reflected in the African diaspora, the establishment of the Slow & Steady brand truly comes full circle in this cannabis market. As an adult, I often travel the Caribbean enjoying these obscure fruit flavors. Having them here in cannabis form in this market is truly an expression of gratitude to the culture and people who call the Boston area home,” said Marcus Johnson-Smith, co-owner of Kush Groove.

Founded in 2011 by Cambridge and Boston natives Marcus Johnson-Smith and Michael Pires, the Kush Groove brand is a blend of 420-friendly style and culture expressed through an urban fashion sense. Kush Groove previously operated a pop-up store at Rev’s 541 Mass Ave. location in Central Square and a retail store in the Mission Hill neighborhood of Boston. Pires and Johnson-Smith are currently planning to open three Kush Groove dispensaries in Cambridge, Boston and Brockton, respectively.

By working with Rev, Kush Groove will launch Slow & Steady, their first cannabis products, and build awareness for their brand ahead of retail opening. “We are extremely excited to continue our strong relationship with Kush Groove and support their entry into the regulated marketplace with Slow & Steady edibles,” said Keith Cooper, CEO of Revolutionary Clinics. “Marcus and Michael embody the entrepreneurial spirit that thrives in the cannabis space and we are proud to bring this globally inspired, locally conceived product to our shelves.”
