DIY vampire fangs / vampire fangs for kids
Below is the step by step tutorial on how to make vampire fangs and fangs for your little one!
With plastic fork
A simple but creative way to make vampire fangs is using a fork. Enjoy this fun DIY with kids!
what will you need
White plastic fork
scissors
nail file
Straight cutting pliers
procedure
Remove the end of the fork by breaking it.
Use scissors to trim the edges, leaving a comfortable length and smooth edges.
Use the cutting pliers to cut the middle teeth off the fork. It should look like a real tooth.
Next, round off all the edges of the corner so it won’t hurt when the kids wear it. And your creepy vampire fangs are done!
Using a plastic bottle
Have you never heard of this idea? Come on, let’s see how to do it!
what will you need
Pen
An empty plastic bottle (preferably a coke bottle)
A scissors
emery board
procedure
Clean the bottle well with soapy water before starting the project.
Using a pencil, draw a wide rectangle on the curved part of the bottle.
As you draw the rectangle, keep in mind that the entire vampire fangs will extend from one canine to your child’s other canines. It also covers the area above the two front teeth.
Next, draw two vampire fangs coming out from either end of the rectangle you drew.
Draw the teeth so that they look curved inwards.
Now use scissors to trim the teeth and use an emery board to smooth out the rough edges of the teeth.
Now place the vampire fangs on your child’s mouth and hold them in place. And your vampire’s teeth are ready to be complemented with your vampire outfit.
Using white friendly plastic
A friendly way to make vampire fangs without glue!
what will you need
Hot water
spoon
Cup
White friendly plastic
procedure
Take a small portion of the white friendly plastic into the cup.
Pour the hot water into the cup to start melting the plastic.
Continue to wait until the plastic melts completely. When the plastic is completely melted, check for any lumps and also check the color of the plastic. When the plastic is properly melted, it will become completely clear.
Next, take the spoon and take the plastic out of the water and divide it in two again.
Using the spoon, shape one of the plastic pieces into the shape of a teardrop.
Place this teardrop on your child’s canine teeth by applying pressure to the wider part of the teardrop plastic. Make sure you apply enough pressure so the plastic will stick to your child’s teeth, but be careful not to break or crack it.
Keep applying pressure until the resin adheres to your child’s tooth without you holding it.
Next, ask your child to bite down slowly to see if they can still close their mouth with the fangs in.
Repeat the process and make another fang that will be placed on top of the other canines. When the plastic hardens, place it back in the cup and once it melts and is ready to place it firmly on the other canine, pour in hot water again.
After a few minutes you will notice that the fangs are getting harder and holding in place better.
With Plaster of Paris
Learn how to make plaster of paris vampire fangs, a perfect way to make realistic vampire fangs!
what will you need
aluminum foil

Alginate for casting and molding
procedure
Take the aluminum foil and cut it about 2 inches wide in the shape of your upper teeth and shape it into a U shape.
Place the foil in your mouth and fold it around your upper teeth to form a tray in the shape of your teeth. Press well and remove the foil from your mouth.
Prepare the alginate by mixing it with a tablespoon of water following the instructions on the envelope. Now pour the alginate mixture onto the foil tray until it is about two-thirds full.
Next, place the tray in your mouth and bite gently all around, getting the alginate mixture around your teeth.
The alginate will take a few minutes to harden. Once it has set, remove the foil tray from your mouth and rinse your mouth.
Carefully remove the aluminum foil from the alginate mold.
While the alginate mixture is still soft, shape the canines into fangs by lengthening them and making them pointed and sharp. You may need to add more alginate mix for this.
Prepare the plaster mix according to the given instructions.
Pour the POP mixture into the alginate mold. Shake it so that it is distributed everywhere and there are no air pockets.
Allow the plaster mix to dry and once dry, very gently pull the plaster out of the mold.

What can I use to glue vampire teeth?
The most simple and least time-intensive option is to purchase a denture adhesive cream. Fixodent, Poligrip and Polident are a few brand labels that work great. Go for the products rated for “superior” hold or grip. These products can be found at pharmacies and drug stores.
Vampire Teeth Costume
In the dental office, we often think, “How can we have fun with our teeth this Halloween?”
The most common costume to benefit from crafting some Tiered Fangs is: the Vampire.
There are many fanged costumes and a wide variety of fake costume fangs available in stores. But how do you get those teeth to look real, and how do I get fake teeth to stay in place and sit comfortably?
Our first tip is to try and use the individual fangs rather than the false fangs that come in complete sets. They are easy to put on and comfortable to wear all evening. Since most of your smile is still natural, they look more realistic compared to any other option!
How do I get artificial fangs to stick to my canines with dental glue?
The easiest and least time-consuming is to buy a denture adhesive cream. Fixodent, Poligrip and Polident are some brands that work great. Go for the products that have been rated for “superior” hold or grip. These products are available in pharmacies and drugstores. It will probably cost less than $5 and you won’t need much!
How do I use denture adhesive creams for artificial teeth?
First of all, it is important to dry your teeth as well as possible. The moisture and saliva prevent a secure glue from forming. Tissues or dry paper towels are effective for removing moisture from your teeth.
Once your natural teeth are dry, apply a small dot of toothpaste to the part of the fang that will rest against your tooth. All you need is a small bead of Fixodent or any other product you can find. Excess adhesive cream can be wiped off with a cloth.
Place the fang over your tooth and hold it there for 10-15 seconds. After 15 seconds, slowly test if you can move your hand away and the fang stays in place.
Do the same for each tooth.
How do I know which tooth is my canine?
The canines or “fangs” are the relatively longer and pointed teeth towards the front of the mouth. Start in the middle of your top teeth and count 3 teeth down each side of your midline. These are your canines.
Did you know that in ancient folklore there were actually very few vampires that actually had long fangs? Recent literature and films have popularized the idea of vampires with sharp fangs. Think Count Dracula and the Hammer movie. Anyway, as tooth lovers here at Bell Harbor Dental, we still think big canines are awesome 😉 !
How long should I keep my vampire fangs on?
Make sure you remove your fangs before eating or sleeping. If you eat with them you can crack. Worse still – you can fall off without realizing it and possibly get swallowed!
When you finish your meal or wake up in the morning, just clean them, take out your denture cream and start over!
Happy Halloween preparations from all of us here at Bell Harbor Dental!

If you need to attach vampire fangs and don’t have glue, your best alternative is denture cream. You can buy a small tube of “super” or “superior hold” denture cream at most pharmacies and drug stores for less than $5. Start by drying your upper teeth and gums with a tissue to help the denture cream stick to your teeth. Squeeze a small drop of cream onto the back of the fang on the top half only, as this is the part that will rest against your tooth. Press the fang against your canine with the pointed tip pointing down and the concave side (with the adhesive) covering your tooth. Hold it for 10 to 15 seconds to allow the glue to bond well. Then repeat the same process to attach the second fang to your other canine. If you get extra denture cream in your mouth or on your tongue, use a toothbrush with warm water to lightly wipe it off. Peel the fangs by gently pulling them forward before you eat or go to sleep. If you plan to reattach the fangs after eating or sleeping, brush your teeth first to help the denture cream bind to your teeth better. If you want to act like a vampire, dress in dark colors like gray and black and add accents of white and red. For example, you might want to wear tight black clothing, black boots, and a black cape with red lining. When you’re around people, stare at them as if you’re looking right through them. Also, since vampires are not known for having bubbly personalities, pretend you are very sensitive to sunlight and try to maintain a very serious attitude. What are your vampire teeth called?
Canines. Canines are the next group of teeth, and they may be best described as your vampire teeth. They are the pointed teeth next to your outside incisors on the top and bottom of your mouth. A normal adult has four canines, two on the top and two on the bottom.
Vampire Teeth Costume
incisors
Your indentations are the eight teeth that form the front of your mouth. These are your two front teeth at the top, the teeth adjacent to those, and then the four middle teeth at the bottom of your mouth. They help you bite and chew, but they also play an important role in speaking. Incisors also support other facial structures.
canines
Canines are the next group of teeth, and they can best be described as your vampire fangs. They are the pointy teeth next to your outer incisors at the top and bottom of your mouth. A normal adult has four canine teeth, two above and two below. The main purpose of these teeth is to cut or shear food, but they also provide stability for the lips.
premolars
Premolars, also called premolars, are the set of teeth on the outside of your canines. They have a flat top and are used to chew food. They also help maintain the height of your face. You should have eight premolars, two on each side of the top of your mouth and two on each side of the bottom of your mouth, starting on the outside of the canine.
molars
After all, molars are the last type of tooth we have in our mouth. These are your largest, widest, and flattest teeth, and you have 12 of them in your mouth. Or, if you had your wisdom teeth removed, you may only have 10 or 8 molars left. They help chew your food, but cleaning them can be a little tricky since they’re at the back of your mouth. Make sure you hit these teeth while brushing.
Extra Teeth
Most people don’t have extra teeth, also known as supernumerary teeth, but chances are you have an extra incisor or molar in your mouth. Depending on when it is identified, it can be removed, especially if its presence could interfere with the healthy growth of your adult teeth. Also, about 1 in 2,500 babies is born with small natal teeth, but because their roots are weak or absent, they are usually removed to prevent accidental inhalation.
No matter how many teeth you have, make sure you take care of them by brushing them at least twice a day and flossing regularly. Contact his office today for more information about your teeth or to schedule an appointment with Dr. Brooks to agree.

1. Choose a pressure nail that will cover your canine (or the tooth where you plan to wear your fang) snugly. Start with the smallest size in the pack and work your way up until you find the best fitting nail. Using scissors, cut the corners off one end of the nail and make a point.
2. Use the nail file to file the edges of the tip into a semi-sharp fang. Repeat with the other nail of the same size for your second tooth.
3. To attach your fang, dry the tooth where you intend to wear it. Press a small amount of Fixodent directly onto the concave back of the non-pointed end of the ripper.

4. Hold the Fixodent side of the fang against your tooth for 10 to 15 seconds or until you can easily remove your hand without losing the fang. Repeat with your second fang. Their fangs should stay in place all night; Just pull them off with a little force when you’re ready to return to the land of the living. Wash off any glue residue on your teeth with a toothbrush and warm water. Don’t eat with your fangs in; Just peel them off, eat and then reapply with another dab of Fixodent.

How do you make fake vampire teeth with fake nails?
Use a combination of nail clippers and an emory board to cut and file the tips of your nails into pointy, vampire fangs. File the sides that face your front teeth at a steeper angle. Because this is the side of the fangs that are most visible, this is the side that needs to look extra sharp.
Vampire Teeth Costume
In fact, there are only four things you need to make vampire fangs: a set of simple press-on nails; denture adhesives such as Poligrip; nail clippers; and a memory board. While attaching artificial nails to your teeth may not be as secure and durable as some other custom fang options, this approach allows you to create as many pairs of fangs as you want and on a budget. Of course, these types of vampire fangs may not last all day and night before the adhesive wears off, but be prepared for an hour or two of wear. Just remember to drink beverages from a straw to prevent the glue from dissolving prematurely. So that you can have a completely custom fit, you can easily DIY your own vampire fangs here:
Step 1: Find the right size
Start by sticking different sizes of nails to your canines to see which ones fit best. Once you have the nails comfortably covering your teeth, it’s time to shape them.
Step 2: file the points
Use a combination of nail clippers and nail file to clip and file the tips of your nails into pointy vampire fangs. File the sides facing your front teeth at a steeper angle. Since this is the side of the fangs that is most visible, this side needs to look extra sharp.
Step 3: Add the handle
Squeeze a dab of denture glue onto the back of your “fang”. Be careful not to apply too much as it will spread as you press the nail against your tooth.
Step 4: Attach your tooth
Before attaching your false tooth, make sure you dry your real tooth with a napkin as this will help your fang stick. Then simply press the nail against your tooth and hold it there for about a minute or until the adhesive sets. It may not stick securely the first time, so if the fang falls off when you let go, just add a little more glue and repeat the process. Try to keep the area as dry as possible while you wait for the glue to set.
Step 5: Repeat on the other side
Then just repeat on the other side. Finally, complete your look with a red lip (you can even dab some red gloss on the tips of your fangs for a gory effect), and it’s time to hunt for your prey.
Happy Halloween.

Here’s what to do.
Cut a piece of aluminum foil the length of your upper teeth and about two inches wide and form it into a U shape. Put the foil in your mouth. Slide and fold it around your upper teeth to form a splint in the shape of your upper teeth. Be sure to press it down very well all over. Remove the foil from your mouth. Mix a tablespoon of alginate with water, following the directions on the package. Pour the alginate mixture into the foil tray. It should be about two-thirds full. Slide the tray over your teeth and bite gently all around. The alginate mixture should get on your teeth. Wait a few minutes for the alginate to set. Remove the foil from your mouth and rinse your mouth. Carefully remove the aluminum foil from the alginate mold. Form the canines into fangs by expanding them and making them pointy and sharp. Do this while the alginate mold is still a little soft. You may need to add a little more alginate mixture. Mix the plaster of paris in a bowl with water according to the package directions. Fill the alginate mold with the plaster. Shake to ensure the patch is completely covered and there are no air pockets. Let the plaster dry. Remove the set plaster and pull out the alginate mold very gently. You now have an exact replica of your teeth with fangs to put in your mouth for the vampire look.
