Inscryption Achievement Guide
This guide will be showing you how to get 100% achievement in Inscryption. Note that this guide may contain spoilers of the game. Continue reading at your own risk.
Act I
Blood Artist – Complete your first Deathcard.
Unlocked after your first death.
Miner’s Bane – Defeat The Prospector.
His first phase plays the ‘Pack Mule’ and ‘Coyote’, killing the mule gets you a few cards. His second phase turns every card you have down into gold nuggets. Try not to finish phase one with too many cards on the board, as you cannot sacrifice gold and you’ll be unable to do anything when he sets out his ‘Bloodhound’.
Innocuous Insect – Free a Stinkbug from the safe.
You’ll be unable to access the ‘Rulebook’ until you have died once, meaning you cannot find the combination until then. warning: entering the code prior to receiving the ‘Rulebook’ will result in the contents being a hunk of meat. the code is on the ‘Mighty Leap Sigil’ page
Uncage the Menagerie – Free the Wolf Statue from its cage.
This one has a few parts, you’ll have to first open the safe. with the key from that, you can unlock the chest with four drawers -complete the third and then receive the ‘Caged Wolf’ card. Back at the table, wait for the opportunity to play it then allow it to be hit for all 6 health points. A sound will trigger in the room and the ‘Wolf Statue’ in the room should now be freed.
Grizzled Angler – Defeat The Angler.
He was a toughie for me cause I suck! his cards are ‘Waterborne’, meaning they submerge upon your turn and cannot be attacked. Phase two is worse than the initial, each card you have present gains an opposing ‘bait bucket’ which, when struck, becomes a ‘Great White’, sitting with 2 health and 4 damage, they’re best met quickly and with ‘Airborne’ cards if you’ve got them. There is a second achievement obtainable in this as well (‘Role Reversal’).
Role Reversal – Steal back one of your creatures from The Angler.
After you defeat ‘The Angler’, take the run as long as you can but you could also just throw it. upon dying and coming back, Leshy will give you his hook. To get the achievement, make it back to ‘The Angler’ and steal back a card he takes from you.
Ancestral Vision – Fill your empty socket with something magical.
This requires the ‘Special Dagger’, a pack item you don’t initially have. in order to get it, you must have allowed the ‘Caged Wolf’ to perish and retrieve the statue. place it beside the squirrel statue and the mechanism will release the ‘Special Dagger’. Now as a usable item, you can dig out your eye and take an offered replacement – select the one with the colored lines (looks like an acid trip, easy to pick out from the rest).
Reborn Hope – Find a spare film roll.
The ‘Cuckoo Clock’ is the main element of the puzzles that will help you out from ‘Leshy’s Cabin’. You will need to have already obtained and used the ‘Special Dagger’ to replace your eye and unlock its bottom door. Inside will be the ‘Stunted Wolf’ and a ‘Film Roll’.
pelts Face to Face – Defeat The Trapper and The Trader.
Another two-phase fight starts against the ‘Trapper’ and then is taken over by the ‘Trader’. If you’ve any, they can be used to limit the cards against you by buying them off him instead once he steps in.
Gruesome Encore – Allow The Mycologists to experiment on a creature that is already itself an experiment.
For this, you’ll need three of the same card, allowing the ‘Mycologists’ to experiment on them twice. the best way of getting the same card 3x is by looking for the more common ones or by just getting the ‘Pack Rat’ at the packed event on the map if you go with a full inventory.
Squirrel Wrangler – Win a battle with damage from Squirrels.
There are a few ways I’ve seen to do this but I went with getting the ‘Squirrel Totem’ and pairing it with the ‘Fledgling Sigil’ totem thru the ‘Woodcarver’. you can also play it beside a card with the ‘Leader Sigil’.
Enduring Victory – Defeat Leshy.
I used the ‘Stinkbug’ on the whole Moon play, or any card bearing the ‘Stinky Sigil’ to decrease its power.
Act II
Renewal – Start a new game.
It’s not just gonna be Leshy anymore 😉
Avenging Druid – Complete the Temple of Beasts.
In order to challenge and defeat ‘Leshy’, you must first defeat ‘The Angler’ and ‘The Prospector’. Speaking to ‘Leshy’ will get you a replica of his camera you can use to please those you must fight prior to him.
Outside the cabin is a pet bowl with the bloodied numbers 273 for the safe. Opening it gets meat for the bowl, and you can photograph the ‘Bloodhound’ for the Prospector. You may then fight and beat him.
‘The Angler’ needs a photo of fish, which is only possible after dealing with the Prospector, as a lake is beyond where he blocks you. Photograph the bait and put it on the cast line, then take a photo of the large fish and bring it back to fight the ‘Angler’.
‘The Trader’ in the right-side room in the cabin will require a photo of a pelt, get that and return to him. He will become ‘The Trapper’, who you must defeat all the same. The pelt is beyond the ‘Angler’, meaning you have to deal with the ‘Prospector’ and him first, respectively.
Doomed Necromancer – Complete the Temple of the Dead.
‘Grimora’s Crypt’ requires you to fight three separate enemies prior to ‘Grimora’ herself, as well as place the pieces of their headstones properly first as well – so keep track of what they tell you.
Gravestone solutions are left to right: The first is for ‘Kaycee Hobbes’, who stands in front of the well (here you can obtain the ‘Drowned Soul’ card as well thru interacting with it). Her epitaph reads: “Kaycee Hobbes,
1970 – Winter 1992. Hit by a falling piece of ice. The defibrillator failed.” The second is ‘Sawyer Patel’, whose epitaph reads: “Sawyer Patel, 1702 – Fall 1778. Eaten by a hungry dog. Do not hold a grudge.” The last rightmost gravestone is for ‘Royal Dominguez’, his reads: “Royal Dominguez, 1589 – Spring 1632. Brought down by scurvy. There was no cure.”
Accomplished Automaton – Complete the Temple of Technology.
‘P03’, aka the sassy ♥♥♥♥, requires you to fight and defeat his three employees before him, the Inspector, the Melter, and the Dredger. They’re separated by various conduit-based puzzles that must be solved to get to each of them. It’s more straightforward a process than the previous temples.
Wizard Mentor – Complete the Temple of Magicks.
Three floors, a puzzle on each. So here goes: the first is simple – equip the monocle on the table and read the note to find the appropriate sigils for the totem so you can proceed upstairs. Ruby Heart, Airborne, and Ruby Heart
The second floor has the ‘Training Dummy’ mentioned before. You learn the sigils through battling him, in which his cards will have painted sigils on them as they continue to be played, Ruby Heart, Hefty, and Airborne.
Floor three has hints to each sigil placed in the room, the top one found after inspecting the chest a second time. The middle is in a secret space in the top left of the room, and the bottom is in the audio section of the settings menu. Airborne, Ruby Heart, Bone Digger.
Dark Offering – Make an offering to The Bonelord.
‘The Bonelord’ is located within the ‘Temple of the Dead’ downstairs. You must bring him an ‘Ancient Obol’, which is the product of playing both left & right ‘Broken Obol’ directly beside each other in a fight to conjoin them.
Note: I did ‘Dark Offering’ at the same time as the other two optional Act Two achievements, as one let me get overkill foils at the ‘Training Dummy’ to farm new packs for the ‘Broken Obol’s’ while also farming to get enough packs to get every available card and complete the collection. It was just easier all in one go, but all rng based as you could just be lucky and get both sides of the obol’s as you go naturally.
Collective Effort – Collect every card in the Original Inscryption.
Defeat all the bosses but do not return to the shrines and proceed to Act Three. Personally, I farmed foils for overkill damage with the ‘Training Dummy’ and the easiest way was also the procedure for ‘Devil’s Play’, so it seems best to do in the same run. The hidden cards would be: The ‘Drowned Soul’ in the well within the ‘Temple of the Dead’. ‘Great Kraken’ found by clicking a tentacle in the lake nearby the ‘Temple of Beasts’ and then in the right-side room at the top floor of the ‘Temple of Magicks’. This card is
only obtainable this way. ‘Bone Lord’s Horn’ is obtained by offering the ‘Ancient Obol’ to the ‘Bonelord’.
Devil’s Play – Attack for over 666 damage in the Original Inscryption.
You must have gotten the ‘Bone Lord’s Horn’ card from doing ‘Dark Offering’
Take the ‘Bone Lord’s Horn’ and the ‘Bone Heap’ as well as a ‘Null Conduit’ the ‘Energy Conduit’ into a fight with the ‘Training Dummy’. Place them down as follows: Null Conduit >> Bone Lord’s Horn >> Energy Conduit >> Bone Heap
This is a tedious process, as you have to farm bones and keep clicking until the ‘Bone Heap’ reaches a damage total of 666 or higher. There is an alternative way with the ‘Stim Mage’ but I didn’t do it so I’m unsure but, yeah man.
Act III
Balance of Power – Allow P03 to gain control of Inscryption.
Welcome to Act Three.
There are 5 ‘Holo Pelts’ to collect and give to the Trader for cards, but they are not available to trade with until a certain time – the pelt locations will be noted when they are.
Rank and File – Defeat The Archivist.
One of the uberbot’s ‘P03’ has you fight in the new Botopia.
There is a second achievement obtainable in this fight as well (‘Agonizing Remorse’).
Agonizing Remorse – Don’t empty the Recycling Bin.
In the fight with ‘The Archivist’, they will take a Captive File in the second phase. Simply create an easy to pick out .txt file and put it somewhere you can find it. Select this as the captive file and then allow it to perish. Once you defeat ‘The Archivist’, delete it. There should be a new file with the same name but with DELETED added at the end, get rid of this as well. ‘P03’ will comment on your follow-through.
Essence Capture – Defeat The Photographer.
This fight has an additional resource, the ‘Shutterbug’, use this to photograph the cards currently being played to capture that board. You can use the last taken photo to replace a later board if the outcome of the cards put down isn’t in your favor.
Painter’s Servant – Defeat The Unfinished Boss.
You can really make a hell of a fight, ‘P03’ can cancel any rule that ends up going on too long with no resolve, forcing you to create a new one. I personally enjoyed the utter chaos of making a random card play every time I placed one.
To the left of G0lly is the unlock for The Trader for those Holo Pelts! Hit the lock and step back from the table, the once locked door to your left will now lead to her.
Natural Connection – Defeat G0lly.
Oh my dear ‘G0lly’…a pretty straightforward fight, the second phase starting with ‘Dead Trees’ on the board but other than that there’s a little complication – especially compared to the previous ‘Uberbot’.
Forgotten Lore – Receive all 5 cards from The Trader in P03’s factory.
Throughout ‘Botopia’ are 5 ‘Holo Pelts’ used to get cards from ‘The Trader’. Here are their locations: The Botopia store south of Central Botopia for 22 Robobucks (Overkill damage grants more funds after a fight just as teeth and foils had) There is one located nearby the shop, just exit it then head left and run your cursor over the bottom of the screen to go down with a hidden arrow. ‘The Foul Backwater’ is the next starting point, it should be upwards from the ‘Prospector’ then a hidden right arrow once you can no longer move north. At the waypoint for ‘Western Botopia’, move downwards until ‘P03’ upgrades your ‘Empty Vessel’s’. From there, go right as much as you can and then downward. The last is in ‘Filthy Corpse World’ in a room only accessed by trading with ‘P03’. This room is located two rooms left of the entrance of this location.
Grim Bounty – Destroy a Level 3 Bounty Hunter card.
‘P03’ should remark to you when you gain your first bounty star. You can get up to 3, and depending on your rank (gained by winning fights and not dying) ‘Bounty Hunters’ may randomly enter your fights. You must achieve 3 Stars and defeat a bounty hunter in a fight – not just win the fight, but kill their card. There are multiple, some are easier than others – if anything uses the board wipe with the bomb remote.
Murder – Witness the death of P03.
Catch you on the flip side, sassy.
Dramatic Finale – Complete the finale of Inscryption.
Inscryption – 100% Full Achievement Guide
How to Obtain All Achievements
Opening
A compilation of various tips and tricks to get the achievements for all you achievement hunters out there! So you don’t have to do all the searching I did!
Should go without saying, but this contains spoilers for Incryption.
Also, since these achievements are naturally earned during the course of the game, they won’t be covered:

Ancestral Vision

Grizzled Angler
Face to Face
Enduring Victory
Renewal
Doomed Necromancer
Avenging Druid
Accomplished Automaton

Murder
Dramatic Finale
Squirrel Wrangler
Win a battle with damage from Squirrels! I know what you’re thinking, but this is surprisingly easy to do. Same goes for most of the achievements for the first part of the game, really – you can probably knock these out naturally without any effort.
In any case, there are a number of ways to do this. Plant some squirrels near an Alpha, for example, or get the Squirrel totem head from the fourth cabinet puzzle to give your Squirrels the fledgling trait. Simple and to the point. Just make sure you do it before you upgrade your Squirrels to Bees.
Gruesome Encore
Allow the Mycologists to experiment on a creature that is already itself an experiment! I thought this was referring to Experiment 13, but thankfully, it’s a lot easier than that. Just run into them, let them combine two of your creatures, and then make sure you get another copy and run into them again so they can combine the fusion they already made with the untouched creature.
Role Reversal
Steal back one of your creatures from The Angler! Another easy one…on paper, at least. It’s a bit harder to do than it actually sounds, and not for the reasons you think.
In order to get this, you have to have beaten the Angler at some point before. When you do, your next run (and every subsequent one) will give you the Angler’s hook as one of your starting items. This lets you steal a card from the opposing side of the field. Sounds fairly straightforward, right? Well… the thing is, when you get to the point where you’ve beaten the Angler, chances are you’ve gotten a fairly good grasp on how the game works, and there is a very good chance that when you get to him, you’ll steamroll his first phase on instinct and get him to phase two before he even has the chance to steal one of your cards. At least, that’s what happened with me – I never got to this on my original run before I got to Act 2.
The trick is trying to not immediately win, but also not throw the game so that the Angler kills you before you can actually beat him. Make sure he actually gets to the point where he uses his hook, then he steals your card, steal it back with the hook he gave you.
Dark Offering
Make an offering to The Bonelord! This is the easiest achievement to get when you’re doing Act 2 and it feeds into one of the other achievements, so I’m going over it first.
At some point, you’ll run into two different cards, both labelled the same thing – Broken Obol. If you don’t, you can buy them from the Trader for two foils each. In any case, you’ll notice that they’re two halves of a single coin. To get the achievement, you have to play them such that these two halves can connect into one whole, and when you do, you’ll get an Ancient Obol.
Go to the Bonelord’s crypt (it’s down the stairs where Mr. Dog Toy was guarding the entrance), talk to him, and you’ll unlock the achievement and get the Bone Lord’s Horn. Speaking of…
Collective Effort
Collect every card in the Original Inscryption! This is also fairly straight forward, and should be easy enough – this achievement actually counts cards across playthroughs, so if one doesn’t turn up initially, you can get it without having to get some cards from the first and still get the achievement. Naturally, grinding with the training dummy to get foils and buying cards off the Trader is a must, as is checking every nook and cranny for cards and chests you might have missed. You’ll likely do that naturally, though; here’s the cards you have to go out of your way to find:
Bone Lord’s Horn: Discussed previously.
Mycologist cards: Their hut is unlocked after you beat both Grimora and Leshy; talk to them with duplicates of the card they want four times to get the four experiment cards (and a key, but that’s for a secret thing not attached to an achievement).
Great Kraken: I…actually don’t think you need to get this one? Or at least, I don’t remember getting it in my first playthrough, and I got the achievement before I got this card. Could be I ran into a glitch, IDK. But regardless! You get this one by clicking on the two kraken tentacles, one at the dock connected to Leshy’s place, and the other in Magnificus’ bathtub in his tower. Clicking both in any order will grant you the card.
Devil’s Play
Attack for over 666 damage in the Original Inscryption! Are you ready to be at this for a while? Because this is going to be a while.
So, despite how utterly ludicrous this sounds, there’s an easy way to get this – the Ouroboros card, which can be bought off the Trader for eight foils. It permanently raises its stats each time it dies, and with the right set-up, you can infinitely kill it and bring it back to raise its stats to absurd levels. It’ll just take a very long time. Obviously, you’ll need to do this in a Training Dummy fight to get the best results. There are a number of ways to do this; the way I did it was to set up a Necromancer and Bone Heap, set up Ouroboros with a Meatbot to get it out, kill it, and then use Skeletons to set up a loop of: sacrifice Ouroboros and Skeleton to summon Ouroboros, get two Ouroboros cards (because of the way Necromancer works, you get two Ouroboros cards instead of one whenever its out; remember this for later), summon Skeleton, rinse and repeat. From what I hear this is not the most effective method, though, so feel free to try something else.
Now, you can either do this until Ouroboros has 666 attack and health… or, if you’re not insane, get it up to 222, use the Ouroboros card to end the match, and then start up another fight and use a setup to get both Ouroboros and Necromancer out on the field; with the Necromancer’s ability to inadvertently generate more Ouroboros cards, as long as you get the right sacrifices out, you can get three out on the field and deal 666 damage to get the achievement. Though, it doesn’t have to be precisely 666, as you can go over, so thank god for that.
Also, keep the Ouroboros in mind for later. We may be done with Act 2, but the Ouroboros will be back…
Agonizing Remorse
Don’t empty the Recycling Bin. Look, I know this is the rarest achievement of all right now, which can make it a little daunting, but I’m putting it up first because the way to get it is fairly obtuse and has a VERY narrow window. I cannot stress this enough; when you’re getting the Act 3 achievements, you have to get this first.
That being said…it’s actually surprisingly simple. Remember the fight with the Archivist, and how the second phase held one of your files hostage? Because of the way basic terms and conditions work, this is a bluff…but for this achievement, you have to fix that. In order to get this achievement, you have to pick a file, then let it die, and after the fight, you have to delete the file from your computer. Make sure you have a backup!
Grim Bounty
Defeat a Level 3 Bounty Hunter card! …now, how exactly do you get to a Level 3 Bounty in the first place? To put it simply, it’s tied to how much money you have – the more you have, the higher the bounty. This is also why the bounty resets whenever you die; ninety-five percent of the time, that means you dropped your money.
Now, remember that grossly overpowered Ouroboros card we created from earlier?
Yeah, you can get it back in Act 3. You just have to open up the bottom of the clock, with the specific code being available as an item you can buy in the Wizard’s Tower. The code doesn’t change even after you get the option to revisit, so you can get it at any point.
Get the card, get into a fight, and then let the Ouroboros get a direct shot in at the enemy. This will automatically generate enough money to give you a three star bounty. As long as you don’t spend it, you should find a bounty fight in no time! Which should be easily winnable due to how insanely busted your Ouroboros is. You really have to wonder how P03 let that slide…
Forgotten Lore
Receive all 5 cards from the Trader in P03’s factory. Actually less complicated than you might think! Firstly, there’s the matter of accessing the Trader – remember when you entered the fourth world, and there was a room with a lock that, upon being clicked and unlocked, seemed to do nothing? Well, it did do something, just not in the digital world. If you get up from the table after this, you’ll see that the door to your left is now unlocked, and you can now talk to the Trader.
Now, this would be the point where I’d tell you the locations of each of the five pelts…except I do not keep track of where I’m going ever, so you’re kind of on your own for that one? Sorry. I can at least say with confidence that one of them is in P03’s shop, but the rest you’ll just have to explore to find. Also, there are hidden arrows, and at least one of the pelts is hidden behind them. Make sure to hover your mouse over conspicuously empty spaces where an arrow could go to check; they’ll show up if your cursor is over them. I managed to find all five without realizing, so I don’t think this’ll be too hard.

Inscryption All hidden achievements 100% completion
ACT I
Squirrel Wrangler “Win a battle with damage from Squirrels”.
There are 3 ways to get this achievement:
1.- In order to do this you`ll need the squirrel head totem located at the bottom right of the slide puzzles in the cabin.
Then you`ll visit the old woman and wait until you`ll get either the wolf cub sigil of growing or the porcupine sharp quills.
2.- Another way is putting an Alpha card next to the squirrels in order for them to gain +1 attack
3.- Lastly if you get the amalgam, since it has all the tribes,it counts as a squirrel so is another option aswell.
Gruesome Encore “Allow the Mycologists to experiment on a creature that is already itself an experiment”.
The mycologists might start to appear in the second stage after you defeat the prospector, but more common at the third stage after the angler.
You`ll need 3 copies of the same card to get this achievement, just focus on picking the cards you already have.
Also if you land on a backpack icon and you have all 3 items, you`ll get the rat pack card, this happen everytime so is a sure way for getting the 3 copies.
Role Reversal “Steal back one of your creatures from The Angler”.
In order to get the hook necessary for the achievement, you need to defeat the angler once, and then lose at any point after it. At the start of the next run, you`ll get the hook.
To get the achievement just drag back any creature of yours that the angler have pulled on his side.
NOTE: you can do this achievement on the angler fight and in Leshy`s final boss fight when he plays as the angler too.
ACT II
Collective Effort “Collect every card in the Original Inscryption”.
Just play through all the act II and open all card packs that you found, after beating the 4 scrybes, go to the trader and buy a couple of card packs to get the missing cards.
You also need to go to the mycologists which are located between Leshy`s and Grimora`s islands,
give them all their required cards they ask and you`ll get the achievement.
Note: You can use the compendium at the magiscus tower to see which cards you are missing out.
Dark offering “Make an offering to The Bonelord.”
In order to do this achievement, you`ll need two “broken obol”, one that is looking to the left side and another one looking to the right side.
After you have them both on your deck, place them together and sacrifice them, you`ll get the necessary piece for the offering. I suggest doing it on the dummy battle.
The offering is made on Grimora`s island at the tomb.
Devil’s Play “Attack for over 666 damage in the Original Inscryption.”
We are going to need the following cards:
Undead: Bone heap
or
Magic: Stim Mage
Bone lord card
Technology:
Energy Conduit
Null Conduit
After you made the dark offering achievement you`ll get the “bone lord” card, which gives bones at the cost of bateries, we are going to make a set of infinite batteries in order to farm bones
The following image shows how you are supposed to set all the cards:
You`ll use the bone lord card ability to farm energy cells, and the bone heap to buy cells x bones and increase his power level +1 every time. Until it gets “666” on the attack stats.
This is a very tedious achievement, i suggest using the stim mage instead so you don`t need to farm the bones and just level him up directly.
ACT III
Forgotten Lore “Receive all 5 cards from the Trader in P03’s factory”.
This is a late game achievement, you`ll need to get every single holopelts from all of Robotopia places.
Here is their location[screenrant.com]
After collecting all 5 pelts, you`ll need to unlock the door of the trader by clicking on the lock that is located inside the cabin at the top left corner of the map.
Just exchange all 5, click all the cards and that`s it.
Grim Bounty “Defeat a Level 3 Bounty Hunter card”.
To get this achievement you NEED TO DEFEAT THE LEVEL 3 BOUNTY CARD, NOT WIN THE FIGHT. If you beat a level 3 enemy without destroying the card it won`t count for the achievement.
In order to get the level 3 bounty card to appear, you`ll need to have a 3 star prize on your head by defeating enemies in a row.
Note: if you lose several times and still manage to clear the spots, you might not be able to rank the 3 starts before you reach the ending. I suggest to farm enemies, back up to make them respawn, and proceed with the farm, if you reach a checkpoint, that spot is useless now.
Agonizing Remorse “Don’t empty the Recycling Bin”.
Now this achievement is pretty missleading, if you don`t empty the recycling bin the achievement wont show up, you`ll need to instead, create a “txt.” file on the game folder, pick it when you are asked to and sacrificing it during the match.
Right after it died, delete the file from the folder.
NOTE: i havent tried this one but is the explanation i get from guides.
