구분 용도 승강기 분류기준 엘리베이터 승객용 승객용 사람의 운송에 적합하게 제작된 엘리베이터다 화물용 병원의 병상운반에 적합하게 제작된 에리베이터로, 평상시에는 승객용으로도 사용이 가능하다 승객+화물용 승객 및 화물 겸용에 적합하게 제작된 엘리베이터로 필요에 따라 승객 또는 화물위주로 사용이 가능하다 비상용 화재시 소화 및 구조활동에 적합하게 제작된 엘리베이터이다 장애인용 장애인(휠체어 사용자 포함)이 이용하기에 적합하게 제작된 엘리베이터이다. 전망용 엘리베이터 안에서 외부를 전망하기에 적합하게 제작된 엘리베이터이다. 화물용 화물용 화물운반 전용에 적합하게 제작된 엘리베이터(조작자 또는 화물취급자 1인은 탑승할 수 있음)이다. 다만, 적재용량이 1통 미만으로서 사람이 탑승하지 않는 것은 제외한다. 자동차용 주차장의 자동차 운반에 적합하게 제작된 엘리베이터이다. 덤웨이터 사람이 탑승하지 않으면서 적재 용량 1톤 미만의 소형화물(서적, 음식물등) 운반에 적합하게 제작된 엘리베이터이다. 에스컬레이터 승객및화물용 에스컬레이터 계단형의 디딤판을 동력으로 오르내리게 한 것이다. 수평보행기 평면의 디딤판을 동력으로 이동 시킥 한 것으로, 경사도가 15˚이하이어야 한다.

양방구라고도 불려 집니다.
건물의 외벽또는 안에 엘리비에터가 있을때 출입구는 벽 밖에있고 거주공간 또는 창고가
벽을 기준으로 내부에 있을때 또는그 반대의 경우나
건축물 구조상 또는 고객의 요구에 의해 관통형을 설치 합니다.
반제품 창고나 장애인 시설 추가시 주 출입구나 주차장이 건물 밖에 있을 경우에 주로 적용됩니다.
신규 현장은 화물용 창고가 아닌경우를 제외 하고는 비용이 상승되므로 검토 대상이 아닙니다.
좌 우측 관통형의 경우도 있으나 케이지 주행 가이드레일 배치 구조상 특수설계부분이다.
