Objective of the project
The game, year after year, cannot keep the number of players stable. All the most interesting things happen no longer than 6 months, after which the world becomes empty. The main reason for this is the limited client and the lack of clients for smartphones and tablets. The main goal of the project is to fix this weak point and make the game more popular and interesting by creating a new game client with expanded functionality, without the weak points of the original client, with the ability to transfer to various platforms. Also, a complete description of the protocols and the internal functioning of the game.
For some reason, the author of the game decided that both the server and the client should be written exclusively in Java, while he puts the source code of the client in the public domain. Apparently, the reason is that most of the functionality is in the client, for example, all the animation of objects in the world. Those. “classes” are in the client, and concrete instances and textures are loaded from the server. Moreover, the client can download the executable compiled Java code and execute it, which makes it even more dependent on the server platform chosen once.
And also, I would really like to fix the terrible performance – the graphics card is used to a minimum, the processor is always loaded at 100%. And as studies have shown, this is the result of accumulated old code and ineffective implementation of the communication protocol.
Structure in Visual Studio
Native – hides the complexity of the communication protocol behind the .NET interface
Native.Tests – auxiliary Unit tests for trying to work with parts of the communication protocol. Avoids using command line applications.
TestClient is the simplest client without a graphical interface. Used to intercept and decode messages between the server and the client.
Model – a higher-level layer that allows you to abstract from the model (classes, names, hierarchy) on which the game is based. As if a newer and more convenient, object-oriented version of the game model.
Automation – Automation processes using the model. For example, automatic avoidance of collisions with trees.
the absent graphical client – directly, the game client. It is supposed to use Unity .

This is a fork of ender’s client so it’ll contain most of the changes made to that client.
Installation:
Download hafen-minion.jar (to a empty folder) and run it. It will download all necessary files to folder where it is placed.
Automatically fetches new versions of the client
Automatically fetches map combiner (bdew’s client)
Various client crashes
Ambient volume slider now correctly set (romovs’ client)
Fixed a config loading issue that I was experiencing with ender’s client
