파일 읽기를 활용한 알고리즘에 대해서

알아보도록 하겠습니다.

StringIO

StringIO 클래스

목(mock)파일 —> 실제 파일인 것처럼 읽고 쓰기 가능

test.txt

abc def xyz

test.txt 파일을 읽어서 출력하는 프로그램

with open(‘test.txt’, ‘r’) as file: line = file.readline() print(line)

이 프로그램이 정상적으로 동작하는 것을 테스트하는 코드를 만들려고 할 때

stringIO를 사용하는 것입니다

내가 만든 기능이 제대로 돌고 있는 지 확인하려고

입력값 자체를 실체는 문자열이지만 파일처럼 취급되도록 하는 객체를 만들어 주는 것이쥬!!!

방법은 다음과 같이 해주면 됩니다:)

파일 읽기 방법을 사용하는 알고리즘

헤더 건너 뛰기 —-> 설명 이후 # 으로 시작하지 않는 줄을 읽어서 처리

으로 시작하지 않는 줄을 읽어서 처리 데이터 내 누락된 값 처리 —-> 누락된 값을 나타내는 하이픈에 대한 예외 처리

여백으로 구분된 데이터 처리 —> 한 줄의 최대값을 구하는 헬퍼 함수 추가

059 문자열을 파일처럼 다루려면? ― io.StringIO

io.StringIO는 문자열을 파일 객체처럼 다룰 수 있도록 하는 클래스이다.

문제

다음은 CSV 파일을 읽어 각 줄의 첫 번째 숫자와 두 번째 숫자, 그리고 그 두 숫자를 더한 값을 추가하여 만든 리스트 배열을 반환하는 프로그램이다.

import csv def execute(f): result = [] reader = csv.reader(f) for line in reader: one = int(line[0]) two = int(line[1]) three = one+two line.append(three) result.append(line) return result with open(‘src.csv’, ‘r’, encoding=’utf-8′) as f: result = [[MARK]]execute(f)[[/MARK]] # 함수실행 print(result)

CSV 파일을 읽어 처리하는 execute() 함수를 실행하는 데 필요한 src.csv 파일 내용은 다음과 같다.
[파일명: src.csv]
20,40 50,90 77,22

이 프로그램을 실행하면 다음과 같은 결과가 출력된다.
[[’20’, ’40’, 60], [’50’, ’90’, 140], [’77’, ’22’, 99]]
src.csv 파일 대신 같은 내용의 문자열을 전달하여 execute() 함수를 실행할 수 있도록 코드를 수정하려면 어떻게 해야 할까? 단, execute() 함수 내용을 변경해서는 안 된다.

풀이

execute() 함수에는 인수로 파일 객체를 지정해야 하므로 문자열을 바로 전달할 수 없다. 이럴 때는 문자열을 파일 객체처럼 만드는 io.StringIO 클래스를 사용하면 된다.

먼저 io.StringIO의 사용법을 살펴보자.

>>> import io >>> f = io.StringIO(”’\ … Life is too short, … you need python.”’)

이렇게 하면 io.StrignIO(문자열)로 파일과 비슷하게 동작하는 객체 f를 얻을 수 있다. dir(f) 명령으로 f 객체가 사용할 수 있는 함수를 조회해 보면 일반 파일 객체와 같다는 것을 알 수 있다.

>>> dir(f) [‘__class__’, ‘__del__’, ‘__delattr__’, ‘__dict__’, ‘__dir__’, ‘__doc__’, ‘__enter__’, ‘__eq__’, ‘__exit__’, ‘__format__’, ‘__ge__’, ‘__getattribute__’, ‘__getstate__’, ‘__gt__’, ‘__hash__’, ‘__init__’, ‘__init_subclass__’, ‘__iter__’, ‘__le__’, ‘__lt__’, ‘__ne__’, ‘__new__’, ‘__next__’, ‘__reduce__’, ‘__reduce_ex__’, ‘__repr__’, ‘__setattr__’, ‘__setstate__’, ‘__sizeof__’, ‘__str__’, ‘__subclasshook__’, ‘_checkClosed’, ‘_checkReadable’, ‘_checkSeekable’, ‘_checkWritable’, ‘close’, ‘closed’, ‘detach’, ‘encoding’, ‘errors’, ‘fileno’, ‘flush’, ‘getvalue’, ‘isatty’, ‘line_buffering’, ‘newlines’, ‘read’, ‘readable’, ‘readline’, ‘readlines’, ‘seek’, ‘seekable’, ‘tell’, ‘truncate’, ‘writable’, ‘write’, ‘writelines’]
read, readline, readlines, write, seek, tell 등 파일 객체의 메서드와 같다.

따라서 파일 객체를 입력으로 받는 execute() 함수에 파일 객체 대신 io.StrignIO 객체를 인수로 전달해도 전혀 문제가 없다.

지금까지의 내용을 종합한 문제 풀이는 다음과 같다.

src 문자열 데이터를 io.StringIO(src)와 같이 사용하여 파일과 같은 역할을 하는 객체 f를 만들어 execute() 함수에 전달했다. 코드를 실행한 출력 결과는 다음과 같다.
[[’20’, ’40’, 60], [’50’, ’90’, 140], [’77’, ’22’, 99]]
파일 객체가 인수인 함수는 상당히 많다. 이러한 함수를 테스트할 때는 실제 파일을 만들기보다는 io.StringIO를 사용하는 것이 간편하다.

StringIO Module in Python

The StringIO module is an in-memory file-like object. This object can be used as input or output to the most function that would expect a standard file object. When the StringIO object is created it is initialized by passing a string to the constructor. If no string is passed the StringIO will start empty. In both cases, the initial cursor on the file starts at zero.

NOTE: This module does not exist in the latest version of Python so to work with this module we have to import it from the io module in Python as io.StringIO.

Example:

Some of the important methods of StringIO are as follow:

1. StringIO.getvalue(): This function returns the entire content of the file.

Syntax:

File_name.getvalue()

Output:

‘Hello and welcome to GeeksForGeeks.’

2. In this we discuss about some functions of StringIO which returns Boolean values i.e either True or false:

StringIO.isatty(): This function Return True if the stream is interactive and False if the stream not is interactive

This function Return True if the stream is interactive and False if the stream not is interactive StringIO.readable(): This function return True if the file is readable and returns False if file is not readable.

This function return True if the file is readable and returns False if file is not readable. StringIO.writable(): This function return True if the file supports writing and returns False if file does not support writing.

This function return True if the file supports writing and returns False if file does not support writing. StringIO.seekable(): This function return True if the file supports random access and returns False if file does not support random access.

This function return True if the file supports random access and returns False if file does not support random access. StringIO.closed:This function return True if the file is closed and returns False if file is open.

Syntax:

File_name.isatty() File_name.readable() File_name.writable() File_name.seekable() File_name.closed

3.StringIO.seek(): The seek() function is used set the cursor position on the file. If we perform any read and write operation on a file the cursor is set on the last index so to move the cursor at starting index of the file seek() is used.

Syntax:

File_name.seek(argument) # Here the argument is passed to tell the # function where to set the cursor position.

4.StringIO.truncate(): This function is used to resize the size of the file stream. This method drops the file after the provided index and saves it.

Syntax:

File_name.truncate(size = None) # We can provide the size from where # to truncate the file.

5.StringIO.tell(): This method is used to tell the current stream or cursor position of the file.

Syntax:

File_name.tell()

Example:

from io import StringIO string = ‘Hello and welcome to GeeksForGeeks.’ file = StringIO(string) print ( file .tell()) file .seek( 20 ) print ( file .tell())

Output:

0 20

6.StringIO.close(): This method is used to close the file. After this function called on a file, we cannot perform any operation on the file. If any operation is performed, it will raise a ValueError.

Syntax:

File_name.close()

Example:
