God Statues

Not to be confused with Statue space (Chapel)

God Statues is a Construction-based monthly Distraction and Diversion. The aim is to aid Copernicus Glyph in building up to five statues around Gielinor which act as prayer altars.

To take part, one of the following must be completed:

Completed or manually turned off tutorial mode

Completed at least 60 Achievements

Completed Let Them Eat Pie

To begin, speak to Copernicus Glyph who can be found near the rough stone blocks in five major cities: Canifis (near the lodestone), Gu’Tanoth (just south-west of Yanille), Lumbridge (just west of the Lumbridge cow field, Prifddinas (in between the Amlodd and Ithell districts, directly west of the Tower of Voices), and Taverley (near the stone circle). Select a statue depicting a notable follower of one of five gods (Commander Zilyana for Saradomin; Juna for Guthix; K’ril Tsutsaroth for Zamorak; General Graardor for Bandos; Glarial for Seren) to be built then help erect the scaffolding.

An in-progress piece of scaffolding work. Three are correct and one is incorrect.

Copernicus will decide the total amount of scaffolding, as well as the minimum and maximum heights of any individual scaffolding pillar. There are five scaffolding spots, and pieces can be added or removed by using the arrows at the base of each pillar. Once the maximum number of pieces are in place, click on Copernicus’ portrait, and he will inspect the scaffolding positioning and tell the player if any pieces are right or wrong. He will always comment on all correct pieces in addition to one incorrect piece, so any pillars he doesn’t comment on are incorrect. When all the scaffolding is correct, his portrait will glow green and work will begin on the statue.

The proper statue to construct depends on the area and its primary religion. If the proper statue is built, the appropriate god is honoured. However, if an improper statue is built, a fanatic will instead attack.

The quality of the statue vary dependent upon the builder’s Construction level, while the fanatic depends upon the area and the builder’s Slayer level. Boosts such as the crystal saw do not affect the statue quality.

Every month, fanatics succeed in destroying the previous statue, allowing them to be rebuilt on the first day of each calendar month. It is recommended to do this, especially for ironmen.

Building a statue.

A god fanatic appears!

If the wrong god statue is built at a place where another god is worshipped, a fanatic aligned with that god will appear and will attack the builder when they pray at the statue. Should a player flee the scene, they must wait 1 minute before they may attempt to fight the fanatic again.

Statue types [ edit | edit source ]

Each statue completed will award Construction experience equal to a large XP lamp, while praying to a statue or killing a fanatic will award Prayer or Slayer experience equal to a medium XP lamp, capped at level 99 for Prayer and level 120 for Slayer. Completing the entire activity will result in 177,440 Construction experience and 88,720 Prayer or Slayer experience at level 99 for each.

The Construction experience reward is not affected by wearing the Construction costume or sculpting chisel or by bonus experience.

In a similar manner, the Prayer experience reward is not affected by bonus experience or the First age outfit.

Alternatively, the Slayer experience reward is not affected by the Slayer Codex’s experience boost or by bonus experience.

The sculpting chisel is a Construction tool that is earned by building a statue to any god in the same location for four months, which can be non-consecutive. There are five chisels, one dedicated to each god, though the difference is purely cosmetic. The chisel provides an invisible Construction boost of one level which stacks with other boosts such as the crystal saw, spicy stews, and tea, and grants an additional 1% experience gain while training Construction.

Reverent Sculptor ( 30) – Unlock all 5 of the god chisels from sculpting god statues and then talk to Copernicus Glyph.

Getting Started:

Please Note: You must meet ONE of the following criteria to start constructing God statues:

Completed Let Them Eat Pie

Completed at least 60 Achievements

Manually switched off tutorial mode

The God Statues can be built once each calendar month; or twice if you reset it with a D&D reset token(monthly). There are five statues in total which will grant Construction experience and allow for further Prayer or Slayer experience, depending on your choice of statue. Each statue will inform you which type of experience you will get for each statue. Below are the choices given within Prifddinas.

As can be seen, each area has one correct God statue which will award Prayer experience and become an altar. If you choose any other statue, fanatics will appear and you’ll need to defend your statue. You will receive some Slayer experience for your troubles.

Building the Statue

Once you have decided which statue to build, the next thing you will do is set the scaffolding. As the setup loads, it will tell you the minimum and maximum height the scaffolding must be to fit what Copernicus Glyph wants – these will also be displayed at the top center of your window. Begin by placing the minimum number of scaffolding on all 5 locations using the arrows beneath each section. Then choose one to maximize, far Left or Right suggested, then add as many as possible as you progress to the other side.

Once you have placed all available scaffolding, you can click his icon along the top right of the window and he will check what you have built. He will then inform you if each column, in random order, is an appropriate height. You can continually click his icon until he has given you a hint about each column. Then you can adjust them as necessary. Adjustments and checking on his opinion can be done as many times as necessary.

Once you have correctly set the scaffolding,a green circle will appear around his icon. CLicking it once more will enable you and Copernicus will begin a cut-scene of creating the statue. The cut-scene can be skipped if you check the “Skip cut-scene” box on the Left side of the window. With the statue built, you will either be able to Pray at it for experience or you will be required to defeat the nearby Fanatics.

Fighting Fanatics

If you decide to construct a God statue that the locals will not favor, a champion of that God will appear and attack you. Once you have defeated it you will be rewarded with Slayer experience.

UPDATE: We are aware of an issue with the XP rates of this update, and will be implementing a fix within a few hours.

Honour the gods with statues of their chosen champions in this monthly Construction Distraction and Diversion. Build up to four statues a month for plenty of Construction XP and your choice of Prayer or Slayer XP per statue, as well as a wieldable chisel that boosts your Construction level.

God Statues (members only)

In this new Construction Distraction and Diversion, you’ll help Copernicus Glyph – master sculptor – to build up to four statues each month at sites around Gielinor.

There are four statue sites around the world: in Lumbridge, Taverley, Canifis and Gu’Tanoth. At each site, you’ll have the choice of building a statue of any of the following: Commander Zilyana, Juna, Kr’il Tsutsaroth and General Graardor. It’s up to you which statue you build and where, but tempers in the area may flare if you make a controversial choice!

When you’ve made your choice, you’ll follow Copernicus’s expert directions to build scaffolding, from which his latest masterwork can be wrought. Once you’ve determined the correct number of pieces to be used and arranged them in columns of the right heights, the statue will be completed and you’ll earn a hearty chunk of Construction XP. The quality of the statue that you build – and the XP reward – will depend on your current Construction level.

If you have chosen a statue that’s appropriate to the area in which you’re building, then you’ll have the opportunity to pray at that statue for a Prayer XP reward. However, if you’ve built a statue that ill fits the area’s faith, then you’ll earn the ire of one of the local god’s more militant followers. Drive off the fanatic who attacks you and you’ll earn a Slayer XP reward. In this way, you can choose to receive either Slayer or Prayer XP for each of the four statues that you can build per month.

At the start of each calendar month, any statues you’ve built will be destroyed, and you’ll be able to complete the D&D four more times for further rewards. Build any one statue four months in a row (in any location) and you’ll earn a wieldable chisel, in the colour of the statue’s related god. When wielded, this handy tool can be used to boost your Construction level by 1 – great for making some headway in your player-owned house!

So, what’re you waiting for? Prove to Copernicus that you’re a chip off the old block and earn yourself some rocking rewards!

Mod Roderick

Mr[S] So you can choose between slayer xp or construction?

chongc no, u get cons xp, you choose between slayer and prayer after. slayer xp is less than pray i think. i got 2410/statue @ 86 slay. not sure about pray, im 99.

Mr[S] That’s why I don’t do D&D, no point just xp waste

Ashaman88 Did everyone’s scripts reload smart ok right after the update (for those running scripts when the update occurred)? The fix worked perfectly for me 🙂

Nice, can SMART now reload past updates. That’s neat :f:

I’m a bit more interested in updates nowadays because my main is p2p again. Looking to gain as many total levels as possible this month 😛 This doesn’t really interest me though :stirthepot:

Good to hear!

Most D&Ds are worth doing if you don’t have 99 in the skill your getting xp in.

footballjds got 8k+ slayer exp per statue definitely worth it. also got 11k+ con exp/statue. each statue is about 1 minute including the fight…. about 80k exp total in 5 minutes once a month.

Silentcore So you can get a cool 50k xp+ per hour doing this over and over again. Is it like runespan or do you have to wait like player owned ports?

footballjds So you can get a cool 50k xp+ per hour doing this over and over again. Is it like runespan or do you have to wait like player owned ports?

read OP. once a month and it takes 5 minutes to do all statues with teleports to each…

Rincewind So is this even worth it?

footballjds So is this even worth it?

yes

Austin So is this even worth it?

I’d say all weekly/monthly d&d’s are worth doing. They make them only do-able once a week/month for a reason ;).

Benny Wow looks cool! Nice update for some free xps!

Does the chisel stack with crystal saw?

Kevin The crystal saw is an invisible boost, and the new chisel is a visible boost, so it should be stackable.

Austin I got 25k con xp and 15k slayer xp per statue. So 60k and 100k con xp for free for 10-15 minutes work is pretty dang good 😉

Mr[S] What are your slayer levels?

Austin ;1153183′]What are your slayer levels?

Mid 90s

Mr[S] Wonder how much level 60 slayer would get lol

Hazzah Wrothless content was worthless. Jagex needs real updates, not a crappy DnD with a crappy reward.

Solar Don’t think I’ll bother with this update, just like many others.

Mr[S] Don’t think I’ll bother with this update, just like many others.

If the slayer xp is like over 5k per statue on level 66 then yeah ill do it if its like 1k then cba

Austin Wrothless content was worthless. Jagex needs real updates, not a crappy DnD with a crappy reward.

So I’m guessing you’re maxed?

freezeyp Wrothless content was worthless. Jagex needs real updates, not a crappy DnD with a crappy reward.

D&D is actually very important for the legit player that can’t spend lots of time into playing. D&D make the first few hours you spend has much more value in each week or month.

Turpinator high xp once/month < low xp on a repeatable task. And in the BTS video, they said there would be no requirements. but guess what? THERE ARE! at 89 slayer, i was getting about 12k/statue and 15kish cons at 80. According to wikia, the slayer/prayer is equivalent to a medium lamp from sof and the construction a large lamp. For completing the statue, players will gain Construction experience as if they had just used a Large XP lamp in that skill. For praying at a location-appropriate statue, or slaying a fanatic at a location-inappropriate statue, players will gain Prayer or Slayer experience respectively, as if they had just used a Medium XP lamp.http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/God_Statues#Experience Powered by vBulletin® Version 4.2.1 Copyright © 2022 vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
