The house is coming along very well friends. Thank you for all the love letters you sent us via Instagram and Facebook! We are very excited and I sure am grateful to share this journey with you all!

We had the idea of ​​writing Bible verses on the posts of our new building long before the groundbreaking ceremony. But after talking to friends and family and YOU, the idea kept coming back. So I knew we had to do something.

We had some great ones in mind that would be special to our family and we picked a few here as well. We also had the kids write something on the walls because we really wanted them to be disconnected from the experience and they loved it.

They always wanted to write more!! And when we visit the house, they immediately go to where they wrote “their” verse. It’s so sweet and I pray it will be one of those memories that really sticks. Moving can be a stressful time.

It was safe for us. This has really allowed our family to focus on the blessing and to be humbled by the gift He gives us. We’re in awe to be here folks. A dream come true and we pray that we will be good stewards of all that he has given us.

I love it. Reggie and I always say it in a way that makes us laugh. we are so stupid “Listen… You can do what you want, worship any gods you want, but as for me and MY house, we will serve the LORDDDDDD! Goodbye.” Haha. We had Livy Girl and her super cute friendly handwriting write this on the walls in the kitchen. Stand firm in your fellow believers. Serve the Lord and don’t be ashamed of it!

I don’t know if you remember, but I shared this verse on Instagram a few years ago. It is still one of our most important verses as we raise our families. We continue to seek His word in raising our children and in making decisions that we know will change the course of our lives. This verse is about building a strong foundation for our LIFE, not just for our home. We all know the story of building houses on rocks.

“Everyone who hears these words of mine and does them may be likened to a wise man who built his house on the rock.” Matthew 7:24

Building a house can be compared to building a life. Make sure the foundation is solid like concrete. Perfectly laid with few or no cracks but with enough tension to allow the house to level out well over the years. Then comes the electrics, plumbing, drywall and roof. All the details that build walls of understanding and knowledge. Precious and pleasant wealth can be anything from the cosiness you create, your grandmother’s dishes and of course the precious children you raise.

God says the storms will come. life will meet you It can be health, your children, your marriage or any other relationship you have. The storms will come. But the house built on the rock will stand. We pray that we will continue to search for that strong foundation for our family.

2 Chronicles 7:15-16 “Now shall my eyes be open, and my ears attentive to the prayer that is said in this place. For now I have chosen and consecrated this house that my name may be there forever. My eyes and heart will be there forever.”

This verse is from 2 Chronicles and God speaks to Solomon after he has asked God to bless the temple he has built in his name. This is God’s promise to him and the answer to his prayer. I want my home to be a place where God dwells. Where his eyes and heart will be forever!! It reminds me of the song “Holy Spirit, you are welcome here, come flood this place and fill the atmosphere.” We know that God dwells wherever He wills, but the humiliating act of asking Him is in our home to live? Yes. Holy Spirit, make yourself felt within the walls of my home and heart!

1 Samuel 25:6 “And thus shall ye greet him: ‘Peace be upon thee, and peace be upon thy house, and peace be upon all that thou hast.”

I don’t know about you, but I want a peaceful home and I know I can’t achieve it alone. This is a simple blessing prayer to say as you enter a home. This verse is found in 1 Samuel as a blessing and salute to the household of Nabal before completely disregarding David’s men:0) We had our little bear write this by the front door. Love.

Basically, this reminds us not to worry. Look at the birds and the flowers. All the things our God created. They don’t spend a single day worrying about anything because God cares about them. But think about it, they’re not even his most prized creation, WE ARE!! SO we shouldn’t think that GOD will take care of us any more! Our Pastor Greg, who passed away last year, used this verse all the time. Reggie and I knew we had to have this one on the wall just above the huge sliding doors that look out into the backyard. Many of us are concerned about clutter in our homes. Some of us have even made New Year’s resolutions to clear up clutter. When you have made such a determination, there are many people willing to help you. There are companies that sell storage solutions that will help you organize your stuff so it doesn’t look like a mess. There are even certified professional organizers to help you get rid of your clutter.

Clutter can be overwhelming. Clutter can be so bad that it affects your happiness and becomes a health hazard, you could be a hoarder. Author Wendell Berry said, “Don’t own so much clutter that you’ll be relieved when your house catches fire.” The keyword in this quote is “own.”

Clutter usually arises because we refuse to deal with certain types of possessions. Some people have trouble throwing things away, even the item is undoubtedly garbage. The item may be junk, but it may be sentimental junk. Things that should have gone in the trash are hanging around because they might have perceived value rather than actual value. Sometimes we snag a bargain that’s too good to pass up even though we had no use for the item. Sometimes we just own things that we use, but we don’t store them properly, giving the appearance of clutter.

Too often a clutter problem is addressed incorrectly. Clutter is often not a space problem that can be solved with trash cans and organizers. Clutter is often a personal problem: the person needs to fundamentally change their attitude and how they deal with possessions. Without this change, a tidy environment will become cluttered again over time.

While we think of clutter as having too many physical things, what about spiritual clutter? Do we allow our minds to become so burdened that it affects our spiritual life? There are times when worries take up so much of our time and energy that we cannot do the things that would help us spiritually, such as praying. B. Pray and read the Bible.

Mental clutter includes the thoughts and worries that waste our time and energy. We have thousands of thoughts every day and many of them are the same mental clutter we’ve had for days, months, or years. Take the time to recognize the beliefs you have about yourself that are holding you back. Untangle your thoughts by being aware of those thoughts and throwing them away.

Remember the story of Martha and Mary with Jesus in Luke chapter 10? Martha’s mentality was so crammed with the details of hosting that she missed the spiritual gift of her guest’s presence. When Jesus refused to discipline Mary, he told Martha that she was worried and angry about many things, but needed only a few things. Jesus said that Mary chose the better one to sit at his feet and listen to him. Like Mary, we should focus on the spiritual gifts before us and not allow clutter to obstruct our spiritual vision.

Negative thoughts about ourselves and others and worries about things we cannot change are examples of clutter that interferes with one’s spiritual life. Here are some suggestions to help with mental and spiritual clutter: 1. Adopt a positive attitude. 2. Learn to forgive others and yourself. 3. Let go of grievances, bitterness and resentment. 4. Recognize when your inner world is in conflict with the outer world. 5. Choose a life that fits your desires, goals, and values. 6. Practice loving your neighbor and your enemies. If you can work on forgiveness, many of the other goals will become easier to achieve. If any of these things are difficult for you, pray for help.

Things that upset our spiritual life are mentioned in the Bible. Ephesians 4:31-32 says, “Put away from yourselves all bitterness and wrath and wrath and strife and slander and all malice, and be kind to one another, of your heart, forgiving one another as God in Christ forgave you .”

Dealing with clutter, whether physical or spiritual, is a lifelong task. Don’t get discouraged if you repeatedly deal with clutter. Forgive yourself for mistakes and move on.

Do you ever feel like you’re drowning in clutter? According to recent clutter statistics, Americans’ obsession with things is costing us time and money—resources most of us would rather spend on other things.

We wear 20 percent of our clothes 80 percent of the time.

25 percent of two-car garages have no space to park cars in them.

There is a direct correlation between cortisol (stress) levels and the density of objects in our homes.

About 10 percent of American households rent a storage unit for their excess possessions at a cost of $1,000 or more per year.

Almost a third of Americans say cleaning out their closets is more satisfying than sex.

You can probably identify at least half a dozen areas of your life that need decluttering right now. None of us are immune to clutter and the longer you ignore it, the more the things you own will start owning you.

“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.” (Matthew 5:8)

The beatitudes, or blessings, that Jesus teaches in his longest and most famous sermon, the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew 5, all have one fundamental theme in common: God cares most about our hearts and what we really want out of our lives.

Unlike other religions, Christianity introduces a God who not only loves us unconditionally, but wants to get to know us, spend time with us, and offer grace and love we will never deserve. We know this to be true because Jesus calls us to draw near to Him countless times in the Bible. In Matthew 11:28, Jesus says, “Come to me, all you who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Jesus wants us to sincerely seek him in times of joy and trials and entrust our lives to him. Of all the beatitudes, this theme appears most clearly in the sixth beatitude, found in Matthew 5:8, where it says, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.”

When the concept of purity is presented to us, our thoughts are often led straight to abstinence, sobriety, or a clean, sin-free life. Although these things precisely define purity, they are external purities. Jesus says “pure in heart,” which refers to inner purity, again showing his concern for the position of our hearts.

Jesus wastes no time speaking to our outer lives because He knows our hearts must be changed first. When we experience this heart shift, our behaviors, actions, and outer life will also change as a result. Jesus wants our hearts to really yearn for things that please Him – then our lives will reflect and bring forth things that please Him.

When we accept Jesus into our hearts and commit to following him, he begins a transformation in our hearts. Our love for Him will translate into a hunger to know Him and a thirst to live like Him. That’s a pure heart: a heart that desires nothing more than to be with God, because that’s what our lives should really be about!

In this beatitude, Jesus also promises that those who embody this pure heart will see God. Only those with a pure heart will know Jesus, for that is what Jesus sees. He doesn’t fall for the words we say or the actions we perform for people in our lives. God knows our hearts and our desires, and that is what interests him most.

The truth is that even after we accept Jesus into our lives, we will still fail. But luckily, God continues to forgive us! He honors the desires of our hearts, and when our hearts truly desire Him and His will for our lives, even through our failures, then we are blessed and we shall see God.

What do you think of when you hear the word “pure”? I immediately think of sexual purity. Undoubtedly, it is important that we speak about and practice sexual purity in our current cultural climate.

Or maybe instead of thinking about sexual purity, you’re thinking about moral purity: When the Bible talks about purity, it’s really talking about keeping us from sin—so to be clean is to be without sin. This is often the case in the Bible. In fact, there are many instances where the New Testament refers to cleanliness as an issue of freedom from sin (Philippians 1:10, 4:8; 1 Peter 3:2).

However, to think of purity only in this way misses the underlying teaching of the Bible as to what purity is. If we look at how purity is described in the Bible, we see that it speaks of something much deeper and more universal.

Purity isn’t just a matter of lust, which fighting men and women have to deal with. It is a subject that is central to the Christian life.

Purity is about wholeness

In the well-known Beatitudes, Jesus uses the word “purity” in a way that Christians often fail to consider. There Jesus says, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God” (Matthew 5:8). Jesus does not indicate sexual purity or even moral purity. Instead, he is pointing us to a spiritual purity, or a purity of heart. Once you start looking for it in the Bible, you’ll see it on every page. But what exactly does Jesus mean by pure in heart?

The best way to think about purity of heart is to look at the way purity describes every other physical thing. The Bible uses the term “pure” to refer to gold (Revelation 21:18). While this does indicate a lack of blemish, it is something far more molecular than that. If something is pure gold, that means it is gold and nothing else. There is no other element in it. It’s 100% gold. It’s all gold.

So purity communicates wholeness. Not partly one and partly the other. wholeness.

Apply this to what Jesus is saying. For someone who has a pure heart, it means that their heart is set on one thing and nothing else. It’s all focused on one thing. In order for us to truly care about purity, we need to consider where our affection and devotion lies. While the Bible certainly deals with sexual purity, it is much more concerned with purity of heart. While physical adultery is a sin, it is symptomatic of a much deeper problem: spiritual adultery.

Purity is about devotion

Both James and Paul used the language of adultery to speak of this purity. At 2 Corinthians 11:2-3 Paul says: “For I feel a divine jealousy for you, since I betrothed you to a man to present you to Christ as a pure virgin. But I fear, just as the serpent deceived Eve by his cunning, your thoughts will be diverted from a sincere and pure devotion to Christ.” Paul’s great concern for the Corinthians is the temptation to spiritual adultery, which will lead them away from the pure (pronounced “with all my heart”) devotion to Christ!

James’ appeal against believers is much stronger. We read in James 4:4, “You adulterers! Don’t you know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? So whoever wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.”

James doesn’t mince his words. We can’t be devoted to two lovers. We cannot surrender to this world and be devoted to God. It’s one or the other. His call to these Christians is to purify their hearts (James 4:8).

This is also the practice we must do. We must constantly seek to cleanse our hearts from spiritual adultery. This means we need to consider how our thoughts and actions demonstrate who we are truly devoted to – be it this world or God. This purity requires as much diligence (if not more) than our pursuit of sexual purity. We must surrender to God with all our hearts.

Purity is about Jesus Christ

But thank God he didn’t leave us alone with this great challenge. In fact, in 1 John 3:2-3 we see a great paradox of purity presented to us:

Beloved, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that we shall be like him when he appears, for we shall see him for what he is. And everyone who so hopes in him purifies himself as he is pure.

Here Jesus is both our example and reason for purity right now. When we see and hope for what we will someday be in Christ – totally clean, following God with all our hearts – we are cleansing ourselves in the moment. Given that Christ has already done all that is necessary on the cross to make us clean, we can work out our cleanliness here and now (compare Hebrews 10:14). The war for your purity has been won, allowing us to fight our daily battles with renewed vigour.

We should take David’s command to Solomon in 1 Chron understands every plan and thought.”

Purity is important. But the pursuit of purity in this world seems like you’re swimming against the tide of public opinion. So even if you could achieve it, is purity something you can preserve in this life?

Yes, purity is possible. Here are some key elements to consider in your fight for purity.

Get a new heart

We are not by nature pure human beings. And we don’t just have impure actions: our impure actions emanate from our impure hearts. When our first parents, Adam and Eve, sinned against God’s commandments, they brought evil and death into the world. Since then we have all inherited their sinful, rebellious hearts that stain all our actions.

Striving for pure behavior without a pure heart is like only cleaning the outside of a dirty dish: the inside is where the mess is! Once you’ve cleaned the inside, you can clean the outside.

They need a heart change and this is God’s work through Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. Essential purity is only possible by admitting your rebellion against God’s will and asking forgiveness in faith in Christ.

Love what God loves

In fact, this is the heart of the matter: having a heart that fears and loves God and wants to do that which brings glory to him. Far from having a rebellious heart that dishonors the one true God, Christians want to please Him and not bring shame on His name by their conduct.

How do you know what pleases God? The old psalmist put it this way: “How can a young man keep his way clean? By keeping it according to your word” (Psalm 119:9). By meditating on His Word, you can know what God loves and what God hates. Keeping God’s word means knowing it, pondering it, and obeying it.

As you draw closer to God through His Son Jesus and in obedience to His Word, you humble yourself and walk in the power of the Holy Spirit. You are not strong, wise, or godly enough to seek purity alone. A pure life follows purity of heart, and this is only possible with God’s help.

Self-mastery helps your progress toward purity. If you have exchanged your rebellious heart for a heart that desires to glorify God, you still need to guard your heart to cultivate virtue. Wise King Solomon warned his son: “Keep watch over your heart with all diligence, for from it flow the springs of life.”

By directing your life toward purity, you should no longer nurture impure desires. Avoid enticing influences that could include breaking off relationships, discarding unhealthy material, changing jobs, and more. Set limits on your behavior and have an escape plan to avoid indulging in what you know is wrong.

Your desires determine what you say and do, so examine what you desire. Do you love what God loves and hate what God hates? Do you want purity for your whole life? Then use maximum effort to gain and maintain your innocence. This endeavor should not be taken lightly or carelessly. Pursue what is pure and good and flee from what is not.

Be accountable

Just as you need God’s power in your life, you also need a supportive community around you to help you become clean. Being alone — whether on a device, late at night, or in other enticing situations — can easily lead to bad decisions. When you know someone is watching, you tend to make better decisions.

Share your commitment to purity with those you trust so you can benefit from their help. King Solomon says, “Two are better than one because they have a good wage for their work. For if one of them falls, one will raise up his companion. But woe to him who falls when there is no one to lift him up” (Ecclesiastes 7:9-10).

Recognize the benefits that others can offer. When you’re on your device, be visible, break secrecy and avoid isolation by using accountability software to share device usage with an accountability partner. These reports can stimulate helpful conversations about your decisions and spur you on to goodness.

Conclusion

Purity is worth pursuing. You will never be perfect in this life, but you can grow. Joy in the struggle for purity can be found through small and large victories.

You are not where you could be. You haven’t arrived. Measure yourself against Christ and see how far you have to go to be like Him. As you work toward a pure life, you affirm the work that God is doing in your life to make you more like His Son. Hold on to these things and keep moving toward purity.

In society, the state of cleanliness of a society represents the way of thinking.

From an organizational perspective, a clean and tidy workplace represents a healthier, more competitive, growing, and thriving business, as opposed to a workplace with overflowing trash cans, cluttered drawers, piled up desks, and all that clutter. Cleaning in the workplace is crucial for many reasons. Some side benefits of cleanliness are described as follows:

First and foremost, a clean, tidy, and organized work environment leaves a positive impression on customers. They are more likely to have a satisfying experience and take home a good image of the organization.

It determines the quality of the employees and their dedication and commitment to the place where they spend about 7 to 8 hours a day, five days a week. Apparently, the workplace is like your second home and therefore also shows a lot about you and your organization.

Workplaces are populous places; Hence, they are hotbeds of dirt, germs and bacteria. Regular cleaning of workplaces and keeping unnecessary items free prevents slips, trips and injuries.

A clean and organized corporate culture improves employee efficiency and productivity.

It reduces the likelihood of hazards and emergencies. Regular cleaning and maintenance of a workplace keeps everything in order, eliminates malfunctions and thus reduces the risk of unforeseen dangers.

Cleanliness promotes sanity and keeps the mind fresh and fit for work. A messy environment makes its residents tired and lethargic, while a well-maintained and organized workplace helps build a competitive and progressive culture.

Fumigation of offices and public places prevents the risk of infections and allergies. This is necessary as there is a continuous flow of people and therefore they are prone to catching viral and epidemic diseases.

Cleanliness, be it personal, social or organizational, is not a matter of choice but an obligation. It is important to take the necessary measures to ensure that the environment remains in its natural state, free from hazardous influences that could affect its proper functioning or endanger its inhabitants.

1 Corinthians 14:40

Explanation and Commentary on 1 Corinthians 14:40

Act decently, sensibly, and calmly so that you do not dishonor God in your worship.

With this general rule, Paul closes 1 Corinthians 14. It is part of a passage running from verses 36 to 40 where Paul rebukes the Corinthians for their extreme pride in having spiritual gifts and their childish behavior in the congregation. The Corinthians were so self-centered that they behaved somewhat uncontrolled, unlike other churches. The Bible doesn’t tell us exactly what they did, only that it was a misuse of their spiritual gifts and a disgrace to God.

Paul gave the Corinthians this simple rule to follow to guide their actions relating to their worship of God. This included things like the customs they would follow and how they would conduct themselves so that they could appropriately glorify God and set an example for non-Christians to convert unbelievers.

Earlier in 1 Corinthians 14 and in the previous chapters, Paul had given the Corinthians various rules to guide them on how to act, such as what they decided to do even when it is perfectly legal to do so (1 Corinthians 10:23), how to eat and drink (1 Corinthians 10:31), and whether people should have long or short hair (1 Corinthians 11:14). Here, in this verse, Paul is telling the Corinthians that it is less important that they be burdened with specific rules than that their behavior be guided by a general rule of decency and order.

As an example of “proper and orderly action,” Paul told the Corinthians that we should prefer the spiritual gift of prophecy to speaking in tongues because prophecy is a more useful spiritual gift. Speaking in tongues can be useful when there is an interpreter so that the audience can understand the message, while prophecy does not need an interpreter.
