How long do Racoon hair extensions last?

Such regular salon maintenance along with using specially formulated Racoon-Xtend care products means your Luxe Bond extensions should last for at least six months and easily up to one year.

Tips & Advice – Racoon International

Hair extensions offer so much. Instant texture, volume, length and color – and no need for chemicals or a sensitivity patch test. Racoon’s versatile binding system suits everyone and allows a creative racoonista to create a look that works even for those with very short or thinning hair.

One of the most asked questions about hair extensions is do they damage hair? Well, we are proud to say that Racoon International hair extension systems have been scientifically proven by an independent trichologist to not damage the hair provided they are used and cared for by a Racoon certified professional and you follow aftercare guidelines .

Another question is, will glue be applied to my hair? Absolutely not! Our hair extensions are not glued in. Racoon has a unique connecting material that creates tiny bonds to attach extension hair to fine sections of your own hair. These small and discreet bonds (about the size of an uncooked grain of rice) are also translucent, meaning they take on the color of your own natural hair. Easy to apply and quick to remove, they leave no marks or residue.

Also exclusive to Racoon is the hair color matching service. Salons can order bespoke color blends that perfectly match your own hair. This is made possible because Racoon’s Luxe Bond Method is a loose hair system that allows your stylist to blend a mix of hair tones together and choose from an extensive color palette to create a natural-looking, multi-toned effect that blends seamlessly with your own hair color.

And the hair is reusable. When you return to the salon every four to six weeks for your “rotation appointment,” your extensions will be removed and repositioned to reposition as your hair grows. Such regular salon maintenance coupled with the use of specially formulated Racoon Xtend care products means your Luxe Bond extensions should last at least six months and easily up to a year. What a brilliant beauty investment. We look forward to hearing your renewal story on our Instagram Facebook or Twitter pages.

What does raccoon hair look like?

Its fur is a grey-brown colour, some with more and some with less pronounced shades, and a ringed tail which is made up of between five and seven brown or black rings. Its coat is dense and of a medium length, which is shorter in the summer. There do exist a few rare American white raccoons, which are all albinos.

Tips & Advice – Racoon International

Raccoon fur is very recognizable not only for accessories but also for embellishing your hooded parkas or jackets of all kinds.

Its variations and quality make it a popular fur worthy of a little spotlight. Let us guide you to learn more.

There are two different species under the name raccoon. One of them is known by the common name raccoon – the Procyon lotor raccoon is a mammal of the family Procyonidae, naturally occurring in North America (Canada and the USA) and also known by the name American raccoon.

Its fur is greyish-brown in colour, some with more and others with less pronounced shading, and a ringed tail consisting of five to seven brown or black rings. Its fur is dense and of medium length, which is shorter in summer. There are some rare American white raccoons that are all albinos. In the United States, raccoon fur is a popular and common fur.

The other raccoon species is known as the Finn raccoon, one tends to mistake this for the European raccoon species, but this is absolutely not the case.

Although resembling the American raccoon, the Nyctereutes procyonoides is actually an entirely separate species. Native to East Asia, it is a member of the canine family. He’s also known by the name Dog Raccoon (which causes a lot of confusion since he’s not a dog at all!). The largest farms of this type of fur are specifically in Finland and Scandinavia. Its hair is longer than a normal raccoon and it is more of a reddish gold and copper color, it also has a bushier tail that is a uniform color. And what really sets this raccoon species apart is their black spiky hair.

Saga Furs, the famous Finnish auction center and center for technical studies, has divided the Finnish raccoon into three notable categories

These three categories mean that the skins are sorted individually according to the color and quality criteria (“grade”) of the respective brand. And of course, the OA label not only guarantees these grades, but also guarantees the breeding conditions of each animal.

The fineness of the fur makes them particularly flattering for hats, but finn raccoon vests and coats are also popular. The Finn Raccoon is made of full fur and has a fairly thick and dense coat. The end result is beautiful but not every female form will be able to wear them, a short round woman wouldn’t really be enhanced by wearing this type of coat.

In addition, it is worked in a tassel or braiding technique – this type of assembly makes the material much more fluid and significantly reduces the thickness of the fur. It also makes it easier to achieve multiple cuts and shapes to seduce all women.

Each has its own characteristics. More used in the clothing industry for jackets or vests, the Finnish raccoon has a silkier end product making it more uniform than the American raccoon. It is of course more elegant when used in larger garments. More expensive than the American raccoon, the Finnish raccoon is predestined for headgear and fur accessories.

As with all furs, each type has its own characteristics and benefits. While raccoons and finnish raccoons don’t have the same reputation as mink, the beauty of their fur really deserves our attention.

How much do Kacey Welch extensions cost?

The extensions are typically serviced every 8 to 10 weeks, and they cost around $1,500. You can visit Kacey’s site for more information and to see if there’s a salon near you that does the Kacey Welch Method!

Tips & Advice – Racoon International

Extensions have so many benefits – like making your hair look fuller and longer – but they can also damage your hair with glue, look super fake, and sometimes the colors don’t match at all! Popular celebrity colorist and extensions queen Kacey Welch recognized the need for a healthier approach to extensions and developed her own method, which she now teaches to stylists across the country and performs on her own A-list clients. “I started doing extensions about 10 or 12 years ago and I saw myself literally ruining people’s hair. It was too much glue, too much heat, too much of everything,” Kacey explained in an EXCLUSIVE interview with HollywoodLife. “I knew there was a way to sew hair into people’s heads because people have been doing it for ages, so Kate Hudson was one of my very first clients, and she said, ‘I don’t glue, I make it. I make it.’ no heat, find out. ‘So I just started figuring it out.

Kacey has developed a method using the hand tied method with its silk threads which allow for customization in terms of size and color with its brilliant approach to hues. “I designed 6 colors which I know doesn’t seem like a lot but because of the way it’s rooted there’s a darker root then bits of balayage going through the bottom,” explained you. “They’re pretty universal for most people.” Also, Kacey sells darker tones, which isn’t exactly common when it comes to extensions. “You can add bleach, you can make it look ombré, you can do many, many, many different things with it,” she said. “I’ve tried really hard to take a lot of the stress out of the hairdresser when it comes to extensions and just oversimplify everything, put it in a box and give it to him.”

Additionally, most hand tied extensions have beads with weft threads sewn in, but Kacey’s method brings the beads close together, avoiding shedding at the bead points and pulling, which is great for fine hair. Also, instead of using the string, the hair is strung between the beads and this creates a stronger foundation. Kacey’s own line of silk threads are also breaking new ground, and not just because of their color! “My pieces are all 13 inches wide and you can cut them exactly how you want them, as opposed to typical hand tied wefts. You can cut them to whatever length and girth of your head you need,” she explained. “This hair is 100% human hair, it’s super high quality, you would really treat it like you treat your own hair. You would all use the same products, you can use all types of conditioning treatments. There are not many restrictions but it is my responsibility as a hairdresser to educate my client.”

“I think there’s a huge market for women who just want to add a little bit of volume, they just want to add a little bit of body. And I think if you sew in a strand of silk or even two, it makes women feel younger, prettier and sexier,” Kacey added. “And because they’re so comfortable and because they’re so easy to care for, it’s just one of those things that we’ve added to our beauty routine.”

Kacey has a full directory of stylists across the country she’s taught her method to on her website. “I really want to support my artists in building their business and it has been a great pleasure for me to mentor these people and other hairdressers and teach them not only how to make good extensions but also how to build strong businesses,” says she explained and revealed that she had trained about 180 people in her senior year. We’ve also continued to see her extensions on Kate Hudson, Goldie Hawn, Erin Andrews, Lauren Bushnell and so many other stars running to her! The extensions are typically serviced every 8 to 10 weeks and cost around $1,500. You can visit Kacey’s website for more information and to see if there is a salon near you that uses the Kacey Welch Method!

How long do silk wefts last?

Silk wefts might be pricey, but think of them as a long term investment. With good care, the hair can last up to two years—note that after a few tightening appointments the weft should be taken out and reapplied.

Tips & Advice – Racoon International

There are few hair changes that offer such a drastic makeover with as little effort as extensions. We love the way expansions make us feel like a mermaid goddess on the fly, but of course there are some downsides. Depending on the type of extension you choose and how you treat it (e.g. using keratin bonded hair) you could actually be causing damage. Tape-ins tend to slip out randomly (plus, you can’t really use conditioner), and clip-ins are only good for daytime use. Fortunately, a lot of these elongation problems are avoided with silk threads. We tapped into celebrity extensions expert Rikke Gajda for everything we need to know about the new way of wearing it.

What is a silk shot?

“Silk wefts are a thinner form of regular, woven extensions,” Rikke explains why they’re definitely game-changing. “Silk weft extensions don’t have any back hairs (the short little hairs that are usually on top of the wefts) so they allow for a natural, very flat and comfortable application,” she continues, and that naturally separates them from the pack (hair) .

How to apply

The application of silk threads is key. Stylists apply pearl thread in many different ways, and silk thread is no different — “You can apply it with any technique you like,” says Rikke. She applies it with fewer beads and no sewing, “so it’s a lot less bulky and more comfortable to wear, and also less unnecessary work for the stylist and the client,” she explains. Although people think that silk threads are based on knotted hair, that’s actually not true. The hair is simply pulled through the bead – just like any other bead extension application. Again, the difference is that the wefts are super light (and the beads are evenly spaced) so there is no damage from too much weight from the bead. “I have been using this application method for years and have had no damage from any customer. If anything, I’ve seen damage from other customers who had too many beads and caused the hair to become matted and tangled at the root,” adds Rikke.

The Up Keep

Although silk threads are a great alternative to waiting for your hair to grow, remember that it’s not really your hair and you need to treat it with extra care; Part of doing extensions is making regular visits to your stylist. “Maintenance is easy with my silk thread application method – you come back after about 6-8 weeks to have them tightened,” she explains of the 30-minute appointment, where the beads are simply pushed up.

The $$$

Silk thread may be expensive, but consider it a long-term investment. With good care the hair can last up to two years – note that after a few sessions to lift the weft the weft should be removed and reapplied.

There is no hair type that is best suited to silk threads. If you want longer hair that blends seamlessly with your own, silk threads are for you. “Whether you have fine hair, thick hair or curly hair, you can get hair that suits your texture,” assures Rikke.

One of the hardest parts about buying silk thread (or an extension) is knowing how much hair you’re getting. With silk threads, each hair pack weighs 100g and how much you buy depends only on the look you are going for. “If you’re just looking for a little more fullness and a little more length, 1 pack will do,” recommends Rikkie. “For a normal lengthening and thickening application I would say I use between 1.5 and 2 packs and if you are looking for extra thickness you will need 3 packs. The model in the picture has exactly 1.5 packs!” These silk threads are such a stunning way to add natural looking length and volume, where do we sign in?

What are Racoon hair extensions made from?

What is the Racoon Bond made of? Unique to Racoon, the exact composition of our bonding is a closely guarded secret but essentially, it’s a mixture of resins including pine kernel and peach stone extracts. Our bonding is the kindest possible to hair and is formulated to be strong and durable yet easy to remove.

Tips & Advice – Racoon International

Do they leave tangles/residue in the hair?

No; Provided they are removed and rotated every 4 to 6 weeks and appropriate aftercare guidelines are followed, clients will not experience any matting or residue from Luxe Bonds.

Top tip: Break your ties every day—two or three times a day is best. Use your fingers to gently pull apart any extensions that have “locked” together. Neglecting this can result in “dreadlocks,” which is where multiple hair extensions stick or “snap” together.

Can you dye Racoon hair extensions?

Can hair be tinted or coloured or highlighted if the client has Luxe Bonds? Care must be taken not to get colour onto the bonds themselves but Luxe Bonds can be tinted, coloured or highlighted only by a Racoon International certified stylist especially trained in this specialised process.

Tips & Advice – Racoon International

Is the hair expensive?

Racoon International’s high-quality hair is very affordable. Our Luxe Bond hair extensions can also be economically reused and reapplied with good care, making them great value for money – just a few reasons why Racoon is the #1 hair extensions choice and the choice of the professional.

What extensions do the Kardashians use?

Bellami. The products of this brand are favored by Kim Kardashian and her sister Kylie Jenner, Keri Hilson, and other celebrities.

Tips & Advice – Racoon International

We often wonder how celebs can change their hairstyle so quickly and easily – is there a special secret that only they know? It turns out there is – and we’re going to unravel that mystery in today’s article, where you’ll learn all about the best celebrity hair extensions.

Love ’em or hate ’em, celebrities know how to look great. One of her secret weapons is hair extensions — but not just any. Let’s take a closer look at what type of hair extensions different celebrities use and what extension methods they prefer.

What kind of hair extensions do celebrities prefer?

When we talk about the most common celebrity hair extensions, they are usually human hair extensions – and for a number of good reasons:

Lightweight and very comfortable to wear (unlike synthetic hair extensions) Soft, smooth and silky texture – they look and feel ‘real’ because they are actual human hair extensions Soft, natural shine that’s impossible to imitate. Synthetic hair extensions are usually way too shiny—especially under the flashes of the paparazzi cameras. Human hair extensions can be dyed any color you want, which is something celebrities often want and need. You can style human hair extensions any way you like – even with a hot iron, which is strictly forbidden with synthetic hair extensions.

What kind of hair extensions do celebrities use?

Here are the top 3 most popular types of hair extensions favored by celebrities:

Celebrity clip in hair extensions – a great choice for everyday wear and special occasions! Clip ins are so popular with celebrities because this type of hair extensions is really easy to use – it only takes a few minutes to attach/remove and it doesn’t require a visit to the hairdresser. You just plug them in and – voila – meet your new self!

Hand Tied Shots. The sew-in method is widely used and praised by celebrities – mainly due to the fact that hair extensions blend perfectly with your natural hair and create a seamless look. Why hand tied? Because machine wefts are not nearly as delicate and soft as their hand-knotted counterparts. Also, hand knotted wefts can be tailored to meet the unique requirements of a specific customer.

Hot Fusion Hair Extensions. Another type of hair extensions popular with celebrities. Here individual strands are connected to your natural hair via keratin bonds – a process that can take a few hours, but the end result is always worth it.

>

Which type is the easiest to use? Well, it has to be clip-ins. Celebrities have them installed just minutes before an important event and removed shortly thereafter — but the truth is, you can easily do it yourself, unaided.

As for keratin weaves or sewn-in hand-tied wefts, a typical celebrity would have to spend anywhere from 3 to 4 hours at a beauty salon to get them installed properly.

If you’re looking for something in between, tape-in celebrity hair extensions are another great way to radically transform your look and not waste too much time. Installing tape in hair extensions usually takes a little under an hour. However, not many celebrities opt for this type of hair extension as it might be visible, especially when they are in the spotlight.

Celebrities who wear hair extensions

Wearing hair extensions is a lot more common among celebs than you might think—especially when you consider that not everyone can boast great-looking, voluminous natural hair. Plus, hair extensions are easy to apply and safe to use – what more could a celebrity ask for?

Here are the top 10 celebrities who wear hair extensions:

Jennifer Lopez owes much of her chic styling to the skillful work of hair beauty professionals who use human hair extensions to transform her look. In the past, Rihanna often changed her image. She could easily switch from ultra-short haircuts to long, luxurious locks, alternating between acidic colors and natural hues. Rumor has it that this experiment left negative effects on the singer’s natural hair, which is why Rihanna now prefers to wear long, elongated locks or wigs.

zendaya As well as being a popular actress, Zendaya is known for her love of experimentation. Recently, the actress sported an ultra-short bob cut, but quickly grew tired and switched back to long locks. Oh, do we know her secret – it’s all hair extensions!

Pamela Anderson. Even after all these years, Pamela stays true to her sexy blonde look. However, over time, her natural hair has become thinner from constant bleaching, which is why the actress now prefers Fusion Extensions.

Lindsay Lohan was also unlucky enough to ruin her natural hair with frequent coloring. Now she needs to balance that with extensions that make her hair look thicker and healthier.

Paris Hilton has never been shy about wearing hair extensions all the time. Her passion for hair extensions even earned her the nickname “The Hair Extension Queen”.

Britney Spears is another celebrity who loves voluminous, luscious styling achieved through extended strands of hair.

Victoria Beckham owes much of her stylish look to Russian hair extensions, as she admitted in one of her interviews.

Hailey Baldwin (Bieber) is often called “too perfect” — and that includes her hair. While healthy eating and an active lifestyle help her stay fit, hair extensions complement her look perfectly.

What brand of hair extensions do the Kardashians wear?

No celebrity conversation can go without mentioning the Kardashians, and the fact that Kim, Khloé and their younger sister Kylie Jenner are sporting hair extensions shouldn’t come as a surprise.

In fact, Khloé Kardashian admitted to using hair extensions for more than 15 years! Her sister Kim Kardashian also frequently changes her hair length and color. Kim’s natural hair falls slightly above her shoulders and to lengthen it she uses a variety of human hair extensions, often experimenting with different extension methods. Oh, and she’s also been known to wear wigs from time to time.

Kylie Jenner isn’t too far behind. Although she prefers a bob cut most of the time, Kylie doesn’t mind wearing hair extensions for special occasions either.

The Kardashians love to wear Bellami hair extensions.

Celebrity hair extensions before and after

It’s always interesting to see before and after celebrity hair extensions. Here’s a list of celebrities who aren’t afraid to admit they wear hair extensions:

Ariana Grande loves to tie her hair in a long ponytail. Despite looking real, the singer/actress admits her natural hair was ruined while filming TV show Sam & Cat. Ariana’s natural hair is just about shoulder length.

Selena Gomez admitted in one of her interviews that a big part of her luxe styling is hair extensions. Selena’s natural hair is slightly below her shoulders.

Chrissy Teigen even once posted a photo to her Instagram while getting hair extensions, jokingly admitting that she doesn’t have much of her natural hair left.

Nicki Minaj’s natural hair is long and voluminous enough on its own. Still, the singer is no stranger to experimenting with hair color and length, so she often wears wigs or lengthened strands to create an even more spectacular look.

Chloë Moretz is also quite open with her fans when it comes to using hair extensions. The actress says her everyday looks aren’t what she does on the red carpet — and that includes her hairstyling.

Tips & Advice – Racoon International

What are the best hair extensions for fine hair?

If you dream of full, flowing curls, hair extensions can definitely help you achieve your dream hair! A great solution for fine or thin hair, extensions can give you the volume and length you’ve always dreamed of for a natural and enviable look. But what are the best hair extensions for fine hair? In this guide, we offer our advice on the best choices you can make to get Rapunzel style hair, even if your hair is on the thinner side, and the ones to avoid to prevent it Your natural, thinner hair is damaged.

What are the best hair extensions for fine hair?

When choosing the best hair extensions for your thinning hair, you need to consider two main factors… weight and how well your natural hair can hide them.

Your stylist will advise you on the best choice for your hair type during your consultation, but as a general rule of thumb we advise you to avoid heavy extensions as this will add stress and tension to your natural hair.

We’ve rounded up the best types of hair extensions for fine hair to give you a glimpse of what might work most successfully for your hair…

tape hair

Tape Hair is one of the best types of hair extensions for fine hair. Their flat weave offers a natural look that’s easy to work into even the thinnest hair, so they’re sure to be discreet.

The weft strands are placed between the natural hair and secured in place with polyurethane tape secured close to the root.

They are both easy and quick to apply and remove (the application process takes around 30-90 minutes). They are also semi-permanent and can last up to six weeks.

Tape-in extensions can also be reused up to eight weeks after initial application when a new tape is added.

Distributed evenly throughout the head and without stressing individual strands, they are thin and light and will not damage your hair. For very fine hair, the sandwich application method can even be adapted to tie a single weft in place with a piece of tape rather than a second weft to reduce the weight and thickness of each piece.

injection tape

Another option for tape-in extensions is injection tape. Injection tape extensions from Remi Cachet’s Elegance range are very similar to tape hair extensions but feature an injection process. This injection tape imitates root and hair growth on the 4cm wide base. Designed to be discreet in natural hair, the back changes color depending on the hair extension color used.

micro tape

As an added option, micro tape extensions are a great option for thin hair when you want to add volume to a shorter hairstyle. Micro Tapes follow the same rules as the other types, but in 10″ lengths with a 2″ wide tab at the top. So if your hair is on the shorter side these are perfect for you to add extra thickness.

Things to consider about tape in hair extensions

Tape-in hair extensions take 48 hours for the tape to set after application, so avoid bathing, showering or any physical activity during this time as this will cause you to sweat.

Oil based products can also cause tapes to slip, so we recommend avoiding these types of products when wearing tape hair extensions.

To all avid swimmers…it’s worth remembering that tape can be weakened by the chemicals used in the pool.

Discreet and easy to apply for your stylist, what’s not to love? Treat yourself to our collection of tape in hair extensions here.

Pro Tips®

Remi Cachet Pro Tips® are part of the Ultra Tips® range but have been designed to be smaller and more discreet. Pro Tips® are locked to the hair with Remi Cachet Ultra Locks®, a type of micro ring specially designed for this type of extension.

Your stylist adjusts this by threading natural hair through the Ultra Lock®, the Pro Tip® is then added and clamped in place, creating a secure and discreet connection.

Because these extensions are lightweight, they won’t weigh down fine hair, and their fan tips lay flat against the head, making them easy to conceal under natural hair… perfect.

Do Pro Tips® sound (and look) like your perfect partner? Buy these now.

Nano Tips

Nano tips are another great option for fine hair as nano rings are around 90% smaller than most micro rings, making them discreet, seamless and very easy to blend with natural hair. Installed in the same manner as Pro Tips®, the natural hair is threaded through the nano ring before the unique tip of the Elegance Nano Tip Extension is threaded through and clamped. Most Nano Tip Extensions should last around 6-9 months, but can slip off if your hair is too soft or greasy (Remi Cachet’s Elegance Nano Tips can last over 12 months with the right aftercare, making them one of the best options out there Nano Tip makes on the market). Because they’re thin and light, they don’t weigh down or weigh down the hairline too much, making them a great choice for naturally finer hair.

Things to consider about pre-bonded hair extensions

You may have read that micro rings can damage finer hair, but that only happens if they aren’t properly applied.

Your stylist knows how much weight your hair can handle, so it’s important to schedule a consultation.

Some micro ring extensions may be too wide or heavy for your hair to cover, but because Pro Tips® and Nano Tips are fairly discreet, they’re a safe bet when properly fitted and cared for.

Create your gorgeous transformation here with Pre-Bonded Extensions.

What are the best extensions for fine hair?

In general, if you have fine or thin hair, you should avoid hair extensions that unnecessarily burden your head and hairline.

Your stylist can advise you on the best way to go about your extensions. Therefore, always seek professional advice before using it for the first time or if you have problems wearing it.

Here’s a quick recap of some types of extensions that can be difficult to wear for people with fine hair in general:

Clip-In Extensions

Although they are semi-permanent, needless pulling and tugging on your hair can make clip-ins a poor choice for those with fine hair, as the clips are difficult to hide under your natural curls.

Hot Fusion Hair Extensions

A tried and true traditional method of adding hair extensions to hair, extension hair is bonded to natural hair using a heat tool and glue.

While modern extensions use keratin, which dries clear and looks natural, Fusion hair extensions are incredibly complicated to remove and sometimes require pliers. If not removed correctly by a professional, this method can damage and break finer hair.

Overall, with the right fitting, care, and aftercare, hair extensions can be a great option for anyone looking for a hair boost, regardless of their hair type. Whichever option you prefer, be sure to schedule a consultation before fitting to ensure your choice is right for your hair. Would you like to find out more about consultation appointments?

Top Tip: Racoon also offers a subsidy on hair, bonding and aftercare products for some clients enrolled in our Hair in Recovery program.

Tips & Advice – Racoon International

COMBATTING MATS

The most common cause of tangles is when hair extensions are brushed when wet, causing the hair to stretch and curl. Only a wide-toothed racoon comb should be used on wet hair extensions. Also, remember that damage can occur if you don’t schedule regular maintenance appointments. Other things can cause tangles. So if you think your hair is becoming tangled, see your certified racoon stylist.

PREPARE YOUR EXTENDED HAIR FOR DRYING

After shampooing and conditioning (or when your hair is wet), use a wide-toothed racoon comb to gently detangle. Starting in the middle of your hair, support each section by holding it just above where you are combing and comb down towards the ends. Do not use excessive tension. Comb the sections again, moving higher up the hair shaft each time. As you approach the roots, place your hand over the ties, ties, or bands for support. DO NOT COMB OVER BONDS, LINKS OR BANDS.
